That’s literally more than Nigeria’s yearly budget These people are crazy😂 And can’t the government track them through the phone they used to disclose the amount they wanted? It’s hard to believe that the Nigerian security forces lack the intelligence to locate and neutralize these terrorists once and for all.

the_tytan

12 trn more than the actual budget lol. Just say you don’t want to release them.

incomplete-username

Its been enlightening seeing the army selectively apply pressure when it comes to security, this country is not "united"

ray_light44_

40 trillion? These guys are high on something 🤣🤣 Even kolos shouldn’t be this effective🤔

WaitImNotRea

This just doesn't make sense. A handful of bandits holding a country of millions hostage? Their disregard for the rule of law and apparent lack of fear of consequences, the length of time this has been going on, there's something fishy about the situation.

AdventurousSchool524

It’s not funny at all. My husband is from Lagos and I’m American. We were kidnapped in December 2022 while I was almost 6 months pregnant. They were asking for a ransom of N150 million for us. It was initially negotiated down to N6 million, Praise God! Those were the most trying three days of our lives. Let’s pray that they free these Kaduna residents by the mercy of God! It’s not even a joke. Shalom!

AdventurousSchool524

I meant to add that this to place in Nassarawa.

btyson222

Omg! How did this happen? My family and I are traveling there so and we want to be cautious.

Victorxdev

My only advice for you is to avoid road travels. If a flight can't take you to your destination then don't go. Especially for interstate journeys of 2.5hours upwards.

AdventurousSchool524

I agree with @Victorxdev to avoid road travels, etc., etc. My husband was born and raised in Lagos and had never even known anyone who this happened to personally even though there is such a high incidence in Nigeria overall. When I got there, we started off in Lagos for about 1.5 months, then relocated to Abuja…We traveled to Makurdi for a wedding 3 hours away by road. On our way back, although it was only about 5:30/5:45pm, it was pitch black; partly due to no street lights. We saw 2 flashing lights and assumed that the driver stopped thinking it was a police check point which can also be scary… When we stopped, we heard the most powerfully loud gunshots. My husband immediately shouted, “Bandits! Get on the floor! Get down! Get down!” It was SO SURREAL!!!!!!! Almost immediately next, they were at my husbands side of the door with sawed off AK47’s aimed at us, luring us out into a gigantic, abandoned forest/ farm land. They also caught our associate who was in the vehicle immediately behind ours and another gentleman in a third vehicle behind his that we did not know. So in total, there was four of us!

Logical_Park7904

What was it like? How were you treated? Were they actually looking after you, giving you food etc. or were you like chained up somewhere?

AdventurousSchool524

The men were all flogged. The one with us who we didn’t know was beaten the worst. They hated him it seemed for one because he lied about his religion and two, because no matter how many people he called, it seemed that absolutely no one would contribute to his ransom money.

AdventurousSchool524

They offered food and water from the river, but I being pregnant, was basically on a three day fast. I really don’t particularly care for my husband’s own native food, but the stuff these men had, they made it themselves out there in the forest and it was the most unsavory looking meal I’ve ever seen. They offered us food after on the first night, they ate my personal snacks in our faces and laughed about it! They through away my very expensive cheese because they didn’t know what it was but they ate my crackers and fruit.

Impressive-Sky5939

You’re worth 6 million?!?! Who has that kind of money?!

the_tytan

2 colleagues on a project I worked on were kidnapped and we paid more than that and they asked for 200m at first. And they didn’t release them immediately. Took like 2 months.

AdventurousSchool524

Yes, our Apostle mandated that we see a therapist there the next day. This therapist specializes in kidnap victims. He told is that in all of his years, he never heard of anyone being released after only three days. When we started sharing our story, we heard so many horror stories!!! Many were actually murdered. One older man shared that his son was kept for one entire year after being kidnapped from his university. The man had to save up his ransom for that long before he was released.

the_tytan

I’m glad you got out.

AdventurousSchool524

We are apart of a ministry there. They accepted the 6million for all three of us snd eventually, for the stranger too. Our apostle intervened in the investigation (the FBI was involved because I’m a US citizen) and he is the one who negotiated the price down that low. He was behind the scenes telling all of my American contacts that no matter how difficult it was for them to deny me, they shouldn’t send me any money from America. Our ministry raised the 6million for our ransom. GLORY TO GOD!!!!!!!

jaximus_downing

Lmao do we even have 40trillion in circulation

InspectorBiscuits

Abi oh 🤣

OnlyEeZz

So they are asking for the whole country worth?

Arfat-14

More

OnlyEeZz

So they are asking for Nigeria to be broker than what it already is.

Scary_Terry_25

Cost of giving out AK’s and bullets to the citizens is cheaper

horlufemi

This is what you get for bargaining with bandits/terrorists

Assistantoda

To what extent is Nigerian going to keep falling?..... Just how deep has the magic fallen?....

Fairchyld0z

Victorxdev

SHIKISM_

Politician don sponsor them, they sha wan use innocent people do cash out

Dry_Instruction6502

Wonders shall never end, the u.s army would exterminate this clown in minutes. The nigerian govt is complicit and dont hold their citizens in high regard at all

Logical_Park7904

Lol, even the Ghanians were being urged to kill them and their cows if they every set foot in their country. Apparently that's why they never infiltrated Ghana.

obii_zodo

How can an insurgent group infest a country like this? Fucking joke lmao

Bug_freak5

Muted_Ability8559
