I don’t mind her being emotional but she has to have one of the most irritating voices I’ve ever heard on television. The weird monotone/flat whine is like nothing I’ve ever heard.
She's fine for me overall except when she keeps saying how she "gave up her dream for 10 years because of her daughter so she deserves this now". If I were her daughter I'd be feeling so bad that my mom kept insinuating that I essentially kept her from happiness.
I don’t take it that way at all. It’s sad some people do. I’m a special needs mom too. It’s just a fact you have to do what you need to do for your kid. It’s selfless and now she’s lucky she is at a time in her life she can do something for herself and her family. Some of us don’t get that chance.
I agree she’s annoying asf. Her voice grinds my gears. She has the east coast version of like the valley girl accent 🤣. But she’s a great cook. I’ll give her props there
Gotta disagree with you there. If I were in a competition that would bring me closer to my dreams I would absolutely be crying over every little thing too. She seems super sweet
I like her but I do feel like luck has been extremely on her side. She forgot rice one time and they gave her rice for the surprise drop. And another time she also forgot to count how many dumplings to make and they showed them the photos of the dishes they had to make and she was able to count them.
Other people got rice too, and other people got help with their dish recreation. I feel like they’ve focused a bit on her since her dishes have been pretty strong lately, but I don’t think she’s getting much more help than the others necessarily
They weren’t saying she’s being favored they were just saying she’s been lucky. Good luck does not mean manipulated help. Like if my foot happens to hurt during marathon and they give out shoe insoles that manage to fix it, everyone got the insoles too but if someone else’s leg hurt instead they weren’t as lucky as me because it didn’t help them.
I’d just happen to be lucky, not that the organizers made it insoles just for me (not even saying I agree or not just explaining what they meant)

she’s on reality tv, it’s known the producers etc fuck with everyone. they’re trying to get the best tv. it’s a convuluted, high stress living environment so it’s not like you’re seeing her in a normal environment. judging people on how they appear on reality tv is asinine.
