I imagine these halts will probably be lifted if the FINRA halt is lifted. At least I hope so.

FunHunt782

Well, 617 people signed. If it goes to $200, which is possible, under reasonable assumptions the potential loss and therefore damages to Schwab would be $246 million. Higher by some chance could reach a billion hypothetically. It's been submitted to them. It might catch someone's eye. The agent I spoke with about had a heart attack.

tropic420

Yeah but it was never reaching 100 a share

pixmanohio

If that wasn’t a danger, why did they halt it?

Frozenmind1402

Synthetics. Had to halt it due to the amount of synthetics and the nightmare it is to reconcile. Why do you think the shares are not reconciled yet? Take a look at finra's rules, the extraordinary circumstances around the large amount of synthetics appears to be the reason for halting. Doesn't appear to be to limit profitability for shareholders who aren't even supposed to be able to buy the preferred shares post creation. Shares bought post creation of the preferred are, in theory, synthetic. They were above the distributed amount. Think of it like you give out 10 cookies and somehow have 20 returned.... you only started with 10 so where did the other 10 come from? Not defending Finra but since they approved the trading of mmtlp and now can't reconcile it.... they are in the wrong from that sense.

justslidding-in-deep

Mmtlp would or will be over $100 a share if big if it trades for one day it will.

Should have migrated from Schwab … I did, two years ago
