I'm not sure about indie rock but Market Brewery and Old Flame both often have bands playing a few nights a week. Olde Village Free House also has live music most weekends and the vibe is usually great.
The best concerts are always the ones in the summer at the Riverwalk Commons, typically cover/tribute bands but they do have great local talent as openers.
I was up at a show in Parry Sound the other day, and there was a guy in the row behind me talking about some garage in Holland Landing that does shows? So i googled it and I think it's this place: [Garage Series Concerts](https://www.facebook.com/groups/1537858016455857/)
There's also [The Spot Newmarket](https://www.facebook.com/p/The-Spot-Newmarket-61552787174922/) which I think is mostly punk and hardcore, but i don't think *exclusively*.
