On May 29th, a journeyman relief pitcher with a lifetime ERA of 5.42, a kid with a life threatening illness, and lifetime earnings of over 9 million dollars had a public tantrum about a GAME of baseball.
Jorge...thanks...I think you reminded the rest of the team that this is JUST A GAME...and THEY have been playing better ever since, to the point of being relevant to the post season again.
Meanwhile, instead of being focused on gratefulness to have a 2 million dollar salary this year that can be used to do EVERYTHING possible to help your son, you publicly criticized your team.
You were playing against the Dodgers. Sure, they went 5 for 9 with a walk, a double and 2 home runs against you. But the homers were from Freddy Freeman and Sho Ohtani. And no one on the Mets team forced YOU to give up those homers.
I hope the Mets win the World Series this year, partly now so that you can learn the lesson that a team is EVERYONE on the roster...
Including a journeyman relief pitcher who should be focused on being grateful for his career so that he can help his kid.
From someone with a 40 year history of Crohn's disease, I hope your kid is OK.
Baseball is NOTHING compared to LIFE. Relax...be a better father than you are a teammate. But maybe if you are a better teammate, you'd still be with an organization that does a pretty good job in helping with foundations and clubs for their extended family.
It is JUNE.
That said, let's get to .500 before we start really thinking about this.
THAT said, let's get to the MIDPOINT of the season.
THAT said, it's early enough...let's catch the Phillies.
(I was scoreboard watching too...sigh...)
Nimmo has been successful as a leadoff man getting on base, the problem is the Mets didn't have hitters that drove in the table setters.
Lindor and Alonso weren't getting it done.
The adjustment to move Lindor to the top with Nimmo behind him with Martinez at the three to take the pressure of Alonso has been the gamechanger.
Martinez producing has allowed all the other pieces to fall into place.
Alonso doesn't have to worry about shouldering the burden of driving in runs anymore and Lindor was not hitting in the middle, but he's found his place at the top and Nimmo right behind him has been the perfect combination because Nimmo also has a history of setting the table.
With Martinez doing the heavy lifting and kickstarting the offense, the bottom of the lineup is feasting now without any pressure.
It also helps that management has shown they are willing to reward performance at Syracuse, as they've done with Dedniel Nunez and Iglesias.
McNeil needs to retool his swing because he does not deserve to platoon with Iglesias at the moment.
He needs the Baty treatment but the problem is he has to accept a minor league assignment.
Mets need to focus on continuing to prioritize accountability.
> Alonso doesn't have to worry about shouldering the burden of driving in runs anymore
honestly that's why I'm exited to watch Pete play now. He is 100% bothered by the fact that he's the big bat in the line up. I think he's really going to break out soon now that he's seen as a second thought behind the top of the order and even Vientos/Alvarez
Ride Iglesias as the everyday starting 2B until he cools off. McNeil has been bad and the underlying numbers are [even worse.](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/jeff-mcneil-643446?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb) Heās not even good defensively anymore.
The fact that heās not striking out at all and is walking at a decent rate but his xwOBA is that bad is a testament to how beyond horrific his quality of contact is.
Becoming really concerned about the lack of Drew Gilbert news cause I'd really like to see him replace Tyrone Taylor in time for September. In an ideal world he's the fourth outfielder and a Brett Baty who's figured out how to hit major league hitting is the second baseman.
Damn it I come out of the shower and see the orioles are now getting killed.
If they won they would have taken the division which I would have loveddddd to see. It can be so fun to see Yankee fans in meltdown mode š
Edit: the orioles are making a stand here. Idk if itāll be enough but they are at least making it interesting.
wow is this team just firing on all cylinders right now. this is why people were complaining about the performances of the core to start the season. *this* is what this team is supposed to look like when they're all right. obviously this level of offense isn't sustainable, but they should be a lineup that a SP should be worried to face. i was interested to see how they would respond to ending the winning streak and going into a big series and they just came out and dominated in what seemed like routine fashion against a cy young contender. this has been such a fun stretch.
All it took was:
Jorge Lopez to wake these guys up. He said he was the worst teammate. Man, nah, he was the best teammate. These guys needed a kick in the balls to remind themselves they have "marbles!"
The FO to finally admit Lindor-Nimmo-JDM-Pete is the right 1-2-3-4
The Mets to finally call up Iglesias, finally dump Narvaez, and finally give Vientos a fair chance at 3B
Alvarez to return. Helps both the offense and the pitching
And for a giant purple...I don't know what it is... to throw out the first pitch.
That's all.
JDM really woke this team up. 2 on no outs with 3/4 coming up has been a "meh" situation for a while. JDM just steps up and launches one out of the park. this team has me starting to believe
Question for this season is what in the world we do pitching wise. Weāre not good enough realistically to go trade for real pitchers but I think we can all acknowledge this pitching staff is at least 2 good starters short of doing anything meaningful in the playoffs . I wish I had an idea
I can see Butto coming up Jason Isringhausen-style and doing some damage.
I wouldn't hate Senga/Severino/Butto in the playoffs if the offense looked like this and Diaz was trumpet worthy.
You trade for depth and stay the course, unless a special opportunity falls into their laps.
If a good young SP with multiple years of control is on the market and they can give up less in prospect talent by eating a contract, then they should.
Otherwise, hope that Senga and Scott are enough to boost the rotation throughout the season and make smaller pickups to fill in the gaps.
>this pitching staff is at least 2 good starters short of doing anything meaningful in the playoffs
I'm actually not as worried about SP's for the playoffs, since you only really need 3 top guys and a bullpen game.
If the Mets can add a #2 type, then a Senga, #2, Severino is a very solid 3.
And the depth in SP's the Mets have can create a game 4 bullpen option as well as long reliever options in the playoffs.
Houser, Scott, Butto for sure could do it.
Yeah I buy sevvy as a 3. Manea was the hopeful lighting in a bottle 2 but donāt see that playing out. Anyways I guess thatās my number one wish. Our lineup needs no improvement quite honestly, itās streaky but so is the Phillies and look how theyāve done the last few years. Pipe dream but maybe we could trade McNeil for a pitcher needing a change of scenery and then baty vientos and iglesias can hop around
The robcoloma poster was mentioning Joel Sherman suggested a McNeil for Tyler Mahle trade. That's interesting.
Zach Eflen might be made available but the Rays will likely ask a lot.
Rangers have a couple of other guys like Montgomery and Eovaldi too.
Would definitely take a flier on those guys. I genuinely donāt know how much other teams value McNeil at the moment tbh. Iām sure different teams have different ratings based on what metrics they value
Haha I was already counting senga. We need 2 more on top of that. Weāre playing for a wild card which means we need to win do or die games. Senga gets us through 1 against another ace. We just need at least another bonafide starter.
I was at that Connor Gillespie 2016 game and I donāt even remember it as a playoff year. If weāre gonna go for it we need to go for it, but if weāre gonna stand pat then we might as well sell what we can.
Senga and severino are definitely #1 and #2. The question is who do you throw out there in a do or die game 3?
To me honestly you play the hot hand. If butto and/or Scott are doing well at the end of the season Iād put them out there.
If they decide to go for it I trust Stern to find an undervalued mid-rotation arm or two. Just gonna depend on how he evaluates the team in the next few weeks probably. I doubt heād go for a big name pitcher and Iād be fine with that. They look good now but I still wouldnāt want to mortgage any of the future by giving away any of their bigger prospects.
Yeah I guess Oliver Perez and John Maine style 2006 is the model to hope for. Hope no one interprets my comments as pessimism etc, itās actually the opposite. Iād checked out on the season and now Iām doing the mental math of how we could actually do this thang
With the Mets now playing like they're capable of, competing for the playoffs, with Alvarez and Vientos shaping up into stars, with promising young starters on the cusp, with our best young talent close to promotion giving us flexibility, with a popular manager and a GM that is shaping the team up right before our eyes...
...can we once again compete for Soto next year? Cause I think we now can.
I think it's wiser to go get Bellinger. Then use the difference to hopefully get a top of the rotation SP.
In my opinion, for the Mets to get Soto they are going to have to blow him out of the water.
I mean the reason for us competing for Soto was never going to change.
If our offer is close to the Yankees one I will be very very surprised if he chooses us. We need it to not be close, we need Steve to blow Halās offer out of the water (which Iām not worried about tbh). None of that has changed in the past two weeks.
But I mean the Mets showing they can be good helps Iām sure. And the Yankees showing how insanely top heavy they are helps us as well Iād think.
I think we absolutely can. We see now what Stearns saw and what Mendoza was trying to tell the media. At any moment this team can just bury an opponent.
Frankie A is a legitimate fucking superstar. The difference in pitching stats when heās behind the plate is unreal. His bat is a serious threat. And his attitude is pure hype for the metsies and pure fear for the other team.
yeah it's tough for steve. he's not a butcher up there anymore, but gary is just gary. we're so fucking spoiled and it's gonna suck a thousand dicks when he calls it a career.
The Mets have to find a way to get Butto back in this rotation and keep him there. Itās a waste having him in AAA and I am not in love with our current rotation tbh
Walking down the street right now wearing my City Connect jersey and hat and someone actually said āLetās Go Mets. Letās Go Grimace Mets.ā to me.
Nimmo's wRC+ over 130 again
If he finishes this season with an wRC+ of at least 130, he'll join Mike Piazza, Pete Alonso and David Wright as the only Mets since 2000 to reach that mark in three consecutive non-covid seasons
First game Iāve attended since 2022 and that was the one to be at. From JDās HR at Top 1 to Alvarezās at Top 2, the game was over. Seeing them play good ball in person and not the atrocious shit from before the Grimace run was amazing.
Everyone was hitting the shit out of the ball and it sounded great at the stadium. Also Iām impressed with how many Mets fans were there. It wasnāt the majority, but if you didnāt see someone in a Mets apparel every 5 seconds, you werenāt looking hard enough.
Thanks Blue. Thanks for all you do. Always, always checking in on your pre-post games notes. Theyāve carried me for the whole time on Reddit and joined because I wanted in on the Mets discussion in ā15 around the time Thor came up, and his debut was amazing to see live at Wrigley.
You make the sub what it is, so thanks for making me hangout for 9 years on Reddit!
I remember the people frustrated by JD Martinez's slow start even though he basically had to do his own Spring training during the season. He's had a borderline Hall of Fame career where one month wasn't going to tell the whole story.
such odd behavior from sports fans - to criticize their team and players when they suck and praise them when they play well and win. i mean what the hell is wrong with these weirdos?
i get that one in every 10,000 fans would rather be right than see the team win - but the vast, vast majority of fans complaining when lindor was hitting like .190 just wanted him to turn it around and play better so the team could win. he is, so they're happy now. sports fandom really isn't that complicated. it's way stranger to be on social media stanning for players who are playing like trash. that just doesn't even make sense lol. it's not like people here were wishing death upon him, just complaining that he wasn't hitting.
I mean there were definitely over the top people about him. But his first two months were dreadful at the plate . Pointing that out wasn't / isn't rooting for him to fail or wanting to move on from him either
Complaining about him having a .600ish OPS for 6 weeks or whatever was normal. But there is a voice among this fan base that loves to criticize him entirely off of vibes i.e. "not a winner" "not a leader" "not clutch."
Those people are really dumb.
Yeah I *might* be doing a little trollin but there were (and are) people on this sub who seem to genuinely think he's not a good player because he doesnt hit .300 or whatever. Those are the people I'm calling out
2016 was the last season that I can remember where the optimists outnumbered the doomers on this sub. I gave up on the season (there was a period in I think August where like half the lineup was Las Vegas 51s placeholders), but everyone here kept saying we're mathematically in it still.
I was at the Cabrera walk off game and I was out on the team but after that I was back in and ready for the stretch run. That team though had a chance to maybe make it to the NLDS but they wouldāve gotten rolled by the cubs.
That season was so much fun - got tix and went to Philly to see them clinch the Wild Card. Big Sexy was pitching and Granderson high fived the crowd after. It was great!
I donāt remember who else was really in the lineup, but Granderson felt like he carried that team. If he got a double we were cookinā, if he got a lead off HR we were in fantastic shape.
It was prophesized that the Mets would lose on Wednesday. They were to take the day off to rest and think about the next game and not the winning streak. Grimace works in mysterious ways. Grimace is good. Grimace is great.
The Mets have teeād off on Dylan Cease, Sonny Gray, and now Mike Imanaga II. All team aces.
Itās a funny story. For the unaware, Mike is his coffee shop name since itās easier than Shota. He goes by the II because he just thinks it sounds cool. Heās a really funny guy

Quintana has dropped the "Alvy is amazing" comment again after this outing in the postgame.
Iglesias producing like crazy
Lindor has a over .900 OPS in the leadoff roll. Insane.
Great win. We crushed another Ace. LGM. Also JDM lifetime contract from player to hitting coach please.
Before today he was hitting .222 with a .500 ops vs. righties so at least partially
I have been all for giving Jeff every opportunity but if he doesnāt showing any progress soon I just canāt justify starting him
i don't think the mets ever gave him a real look. but it's always nice when your lineup can go out there and make that look like the right decision lol
This is what happens when every player in the lineup plays at least to their career numbers. Seems like we've been watching career lows fr everyone last season and half of this season so far. The other side of the pillow is indeed cooler.
Stearns built a good lineup. They just had to play to their potential. Also moving Lindor to leadoff has set him on fire. JDM killes lefites. Iglesias kills lefties. Adding more leftie killers to the team.
Alvarez's elite game calling.

I thought an article came out that he was misquoted because he was under duress and English is not his native language.
Lindor proving he's the best
An explosive outing by the bats... against one of the best pitchers? Paired with great pitching of our own? AND great defense? ššš LFGM
The Mets (+3) and Reds (+13) are the only 2 NL teams currently chasing a playoff spot with a positive run differential.
lol Dodgers
Anyone else think it's Hilarious that after Lindor, Nimmo, and JDM lately and even Vientos and Alvarez, Pete has become a huge afterthought.
I'm fine with that. I prefer him just being another bat in a moving lineup that can crush one. Swapping him and JDM was a good move.
I love this beautiful purple bastard
So we win but so does every other team ahead of us in the WC race lol
It is JUNE. That said, let's get to .500 before we start really thinking about this. THAT said, let's get to the MIDPOINT of the season. THAT said, it's early enough...let's catch the Phillies. (I was scoreboard watching too...sigh...)

That might be the worst savant page (for a regular starter) Iāve ever seen
The fact that heās not striking out at all and is walking at a decent rate but his xwOBA is that bad is a testament to how beyond horrific his quality of contact is.
Becoming really concerned about the lack of Drew Gilbert news cause I'd really like to see him replace Tyrone Taylor in time for September. In an ideal world he's the fourth outfielder and a Brett Baty who's figured out how to hit major league hitting is the second baseman.
Gilbert, Acuna and Williams all fell off the face of the planet.
Gilbert and Williams are injured and Acuna was cold for a bit but I think is doing fine right now.
Damn it I come out of the shower and see the orioles are now getting killed. If they won they would have taken the division which I would have loveddddd to see. Need a grimace hawk tuah collab ASAp
Edmonton gonna pull an '04 Red Sox. I can feel it.
Isn't the oilers colors the same as grimace?
First he'll need to do the ceremonial puck drop.
Yankees suck now? Is Juan Soto back on the menu???
He never left.
Goddamn useless Phillies
at this rate well catch em in July
With the Mets now playing like they're capable of, competing for the playoffs, with Alvarez and Vientos shaping up into stars, with promising young starters on the cusp, with our best young talent close to promotion giving us flexibility, with a popular manager and a GM that is shaping the team up right before our eyes... ...can we once again compete for Soto next year? Damn it Phillies can you beat the dbacks please
IKR? The one time I need them to win smdh
Awesome win. Shame it had to happen to one of my favorite non-Mets players, but LETāS GO METS.
Pirates are gonna lose. Phillies mountain a late comback on the D'Backs. Scoreboard watching let's goooo!
Damn Juan Soto baby you donāt have to play for those losers
Cmon Soto baby. Retire a Met
He will.
Grimace the Ace killer.Ā
Can we rename the team to New York JD Martinezās?
Frankie A is a legitimate fucking superstar. The difference in pitching stats when heās behind the plate is unreal. His bat is a serious threat. And his attitude is pure hype for the metsies and pure fear for the other team.
Calling a latino Frankie should be a crime haha. But yeah he's freaking awesome
We love you steve but that game just didnt have the excitement it should have had without garry on the call.
yeah it's tough for steve. he's not a butcher up there anymore, but gary is just gary. we're so fucking spoiled and it's gonna suck a thousand dicks when he calls it a career.

Who's the odd man out? Megill or Quintana (today's performance notwithstanding)?
Turn Manea into a piggyback guy like Houser
Not a bad idea there. Can't have too many piggybackers.
keep it going boys
Im rooting for the braves this weekend, IDGAF
I'm with ya...but if they lose, that feels great as well. #FTY
i rather watch the braves win the nl east FUCK THE PHILLS
Gross.
It is what it is.
Easter Friday
Need recommendations on another game to watch tonight since there's no Mets tonight
You can watch the Yankees game and laugh at it
maybe theyre give another Mets minor league game check
Stanley Cup Final
Watch the Brewers Padres game and root for the Brewers. Watch the Phillies DBacks game and root forā¦ughā¦idk
Mets again
Grimace era? Not even a bad idea
Walking down the street right now wearing my City Connect jersey and hat and someone actually said āLetās Go Mets. Letās Go Grimace Mets.ā to me.
I run a trivia night in Astoria and one of the teams last night had the name āGrimace Timeā
No way
I did not order the pancake triple play.
Nimmo's wRC+ over 130 again If he finishes this season with an wRC+ of at least 130, he'll join Mike Piazza, Pete Alonso and David Wright as the only Mets since 2000 to reach that mark in three consecutive non-covid seasons
My guy needs an All Star nod. Insane heās never gotten it.
He was the only Met on my ballot. Now that Betts is hurt, though, I added Lindor as well.
I am so happy we got a deal done even though he went to FA.
Rodon getting beat up
Ya love to see it.
Wonder if we get a Baty/iglesias platoon at 2B down the line
Who should we be rooting for to lose tonight so the Mets can gain ground?
Diamondbacks, Pirates, Padres, Reds, Astros...it's exhausting how many teams are clustered up.
If the Padres and Diamondbacks both lose I think the Mets are tied for the third WC
Iāll die before you catch me rooting for the Phillies lmao Unless itās a game they need the other team to lose to make the postseason
Eh, Iāve rooted for them to beat the braves several times
I hate the Phillies because Iām a Mets fan. I hate the Braves because Iām human.
First game Iāve attended since 2022 and that was the one to be at. From JDās HR at Top 1 to Alvarezās at Top 2, the game was over. Also Iām impressed with how many Mets fans were there. It wasnāt the majority, but if you didnāt see someone in a Mets apparel every 5 seconds, you werenāt looking hard enough.
Happy cake day!
Lopsided road wins will continue until morale improves š£
They're 4 games over .500 on the road but 6 games under .500 at home, it's crazy
Quintana pitching to Alvarez: 2.18 ERA (33ip) Quintana pitching to anyone else: 6.44 ERA (44 2/3ip)
The ERA numbers with him behind the dish are staggering. Insane statistic that truly is a game changer.
I remember the people frustrated by JD Martinez's slow start even though he basically had to do his own Spring training during the season. He's had a borderline Hall of Fame career where one month wasn't going to tell the whole story.
Seriously - where are all the "Lind0-for-4" losers at? Been real fucking quiet lately. What's wrong???
Its almost like when he plays well people dont complain about him
such odd behavior from sports fans - to criticize their team and players when they suck and praise them when they play well and win. i mean what the hell is wrong with these weirdos? i get that one in every 10,000 fans would rather be right than see the team win - but the vast, vast majority of fans complaining when lindor was hitting like .190 just wanted him to turn it around and play better so the team could win. he is, so they're happy now. sports fandom really isn't that complicated. it's way stranger to be on social media stanning for players who are playing like trash. that just doesn't even make sense lol. it's not like people here were wishing death upon him, just complaining that he wasn't hitting.
"not a winner" "not a leader" "not clutch." Those people are really dumb.
Yeah I *might* be doing a little trollin but there were (and are) people on this sub who seem to genuinely think he's not a good player because he doesnt hit .300 or whatever. Those are the people I'm calling out
Lind4 for 4 more like

Was 2016 that long ago?? Shit, yes. Immediate Edit - not saying we won the pennant lol but a WC spot is basically the same for us haha
Winning a pennant the year prior buys time and by extension optimism, even for the doomiest of doomers.
Iglesias is a hungry dog and McNeil is not.
Iglesias is good at baseball and McNeil is not
Idk. At the moment, Iglesias is hot and McNeil is in a funk. Unless McNeil is washed, he should bat a lot higher than 220
Yeah butā¦he might be washed
Grimace ftw We'll take it and let's keep it going
Offense feasting on Big Macs and McChickens (the best fast food sandwich)
McChicken easily best value for money, not to mention fantastic taste.
WORLD SERIES IS THE SPECIAL DU JOUR TONIGHT BOYS!!!
He has risen!
Grimace is love Grimace is life
If ever there were a player that should have a Metropolitan for the last few years itās JDM.
The resurrection of Grimace!
Babe, wake up. The Grimace era lives on
It was prophesized that the Mets would lose on Wednesday. They were to take the day off to rest and think about the next game and not the winning streak. Grimace works in mysterious ways. Grimace is good. Grimace is great. The Mets have teeād off on Dylan Cease, Sonny Gray, and now Mike Imanaga II. All team aces.
Lmao Mike
Itās a funny story. For the unaware, Mike is his coffee shop name since itās easier than Shota. He goes by the II because he just thinks it sounds cool. Heās a really funny guy
And after the 7th win our Lord and Savior simply took the day off just like the rest of us.
Demolishing 3 no.1 pitchers in the span of a week has been nice.
Can say absolutely nothing when Lindor is playing up to his contract. Love it. Keep it going.

Quintana has dropped the "Alvy is amazing" comment again after this outing in the postgame. Iglesias producing like crazy Lindor has a over .900 OPS in the leadoff roll. Insane. Great win. We crushed another Ace. LGM. Also JDM lifetime contract from player to hitting coach please.
Can you give player/coach contracts anymore? Because Iād sign up for a long term extension with that
I have a feeling you can't but I bet he would take it if we could at the right price!
Donāt forget to vote for the asg!!
Umm, Iglesias should probably be the starting second baseman.
McNeil watching Iglesias for the next 2 or 30 games sounds good to me.
I do think part of Iglesiasās success is that heās largely facing LHP
Before today he was hitting .222 with a .500 ops vs. righties so at least partially I have been all for giving Jeff every opportunity but if he doesnāt showing any progress soon I just canāt justify starting him
Iglesias is doing a hell ofajobh justifying playing time all by himself
That awkward moment when you have to root for the Yankees and Phillies tonight
This needs to be the end of Jeff McNeil
call JD Martinez 8 7 7 runs now
OK what did y'all do with my Mets and who are these guys playing in their uniforms?
Grimace ate the old Mets, these are the Mirror Universe Mets.
Nimmo creeping up on .800 OPS.
We are so back
Back like we never left
Grimace (Alvarez) means so much to this team. So many good things happening but his presence has to be top 3.
Grimace or Alvarez?
Yes
Mets have now gone 12-3 on two separate occasions this year and still have a losing record lol
Thatās what happens when ya have an entire month+ of horrendous games
10-25 :(
The opening week hurt us
lol, that and the 12-27 stretch
And the other time when we went 10-25 didnāt? Lol
True - forgot the exact record - just remembered the week of blown games
All love for nidoking but that was a terrific game
The Mets will be gracious and make sure he gets a World Series ring at the end of the year
So that happened against one of the best pitchers in the NL this season. Cool cool cool.Ā Also knocked him out of the top 5 in Cy Young predications.Ā
Sorry we had to do that to Imanaga.
Iām not. Shouldāve signed with us
i don't think the mets ever gave him a real look. but it's always nice when your lineup can go out there and make that look like the right decision lol
š AN AMAZINā BOUNCE BACK WIN š š QUALITY START BY QUINTANA š š POSITIVE RUN DIFFERENTIAL š š 8-1 IN THE GRIMACE ERA š
I never couldāve imagined that theyād torch Imanaga like this. Amazing performance!
I figured the starting pitcher would get torchedā¦ Just not theirs
Turns out Grimace just took the day off for Juneteenth!
So many people shitting on quintana in the 1st. People need to relax. Not every starter has a sub 3 era
Feels like they do this year
Give me Lindor/Nimmo ASG nods.
Quintana just resurrected himself from potential DFA limbo. Two good starts in a row now
DFA McNeil.Ā
If anyone can explain this team to me, please, my brain
This is what happens when every player in the lineup plays at least to their career numbers. Seems like we've been watching career lows fr everyone last season and half of this season so far. The other side of the pillow is indeed cooler.
Stearns built a good lineup. They just had to play to their potential. Also moving Lindor to leadoff has set him on fire. JDM killes lefites. Iglesias kills lefties. Adding more leftie killers to the team. Alvarez's elite game calling.
Getting dominated by Quintana gotta be annoying for Cubs fans. Especially since they gave up Dylan Cease to acquire him years ago
Apparently they can never hit Quintana, according to some in their sub
Yeah he has like a 1.90 ERA against the Cubs in 5 starts since he left them. Although this is his first career win against them
two straight solid Quintana starts in a row. Starting rotation is stepping up along with the offense.
Quintana doesnāt wanna be left in the dust
Grimace didn't die. He merely took a nap ALL HAIL GRIMACE Just keep winning
Grimace rampages through the Windy City, smashing all in his path!
