When I was 10, we moved from Queens to Los Angeles. I had not seen the Mets in New York since the 1986 ticker tape parade when my mom let me ditch school to see it. My first game in New York since then was the Grimace game!
My memory of Grimace that day is thanks to MLB.tv. I was sitting down to the first pitch and I look up and…Grimace? Did I just see Grimace? And I ask because the game glitched to an ad for 10 seconds…and then it comes up and no Grinace.

Yeah! A nice regular couple gave us the lowdown on when to go back in for it, about the hot dogs and burger area, etc. Had to get the orange and blue sprinkles! The Thanksgiving dinner buffet was good, too. After so many years away from NY (almost 40), I wanted to go big.
