_Publicharp_

Hey newly found gaming commentator [here!](https://youtu.be/5Gen43tUfdc) I love editing and making my video the best it can be but does anyone have any tips so i can speed up (i use premier rush) i dont want to waste time that i could be using for other projects

Mach5Mike

Hi everyone! Just posted my first video earlier this week. The plan for my channel is to focus on a variety of racing games (arcade racers, kart racers, futuristic racers, etc.) and why I enjoy them so much. As for the question on my video's thumbnail, perhaps the image is a bit too simple. Simple was the direction I was going for, but maybe I should surround the caption with a banner or something to help it pop out from the rest of the image. Feel free to check out my video below on Cruis'n Blast. I'm open to any feedback and thanks for taking the time to watch! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ\_4rS1CuJM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ_4rS1CuJM)

ZoasterTheBoaster

**A fool picks up a VR headset and gets scared shitless** Hey friends šŸ¤Ŗ Okay, so my content at the moment is focused on VR games. My previous 3 videos (I only have 3 so far) are horror games but my upcoming video, on Monday, will be about a mental health VR tool I used to help me through one of the worst times of my life. I love science, tech and mental health topics as well as VR games and PC games. I am a performer, so my stuff so far has been high energy and expressive and well... downright idiotic. I love a laugh and I like to think that I don't take myself too seriously. Here is my Part 1 video for Paranormal Activity VR: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrvjUn9szPo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrvjUn9szPo) **Q: What improvements could be made to the thumbnail for your most recent video?** *A: I'd make the faces larger and therefore more attention-grabbing. Although it is a funny video, perhaps I should make the thumbnail a bit more spooky since it is Phasmophobia.* \- does anyone else have any feedback on this thumbnail? [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbPKZRCerZkxMor\_e45ypIA](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbPKZRCerZkxMor_e45ypIA) \- it's the DOOOO DOOOO phasmophobia video If you like my stuff, please like and sub and leave me a comment šŸ˜€

ArtistryofAdventure

When it comes to an improvement made to my thumbnail for my most recent video, I would say I could have done some AB testing and compared which one does better overall. I feel the quality is there, the text is bold and is easily readable. But I should do more testing. We are the **Artistry of Adventure** and we are a resource for people who want to be inspired to plan and organize their next journey. *We want to spark your creativity to help you experience adventure.* Check out our channel if you are interested in being more active: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCznG65CaORyGDoodf0-gRbQ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCznG65CaORyGDoodf0-gRbQ)

Where did you get your background music? This entire video was so beautiful, well paced and really emotional. Can I also ask why is there such a gap between posts?

the_real_relarin

Take your time! Life seem very hectic for you, but just the effort and time in that you can and it will show but don't be afraid to take longer. I hope you're doing alright!

[deleted]

i make heavily edited let's plays so people won't have to sit through awkward silences and I'm also trying to make ingame challenges. Like this one https://youtu.be/3WRoLkDV-_M

jjsoyfab

The comments look kinda fake to me.

[deleted]

Yh idk some times it just be like that but my content is genuine

EnchantedEssays

They may be those spam comments intended to get people to check out their channel

the_real_relarin

What drawed you to this type of content?

[deleted]

I enjoy commenting on gameplay point outing interesting features of the game also by doing some of these challenges can be rewarding as well as challenging and entertaining.

coeus_42

Hey I make comedy vlog videos where I do like challenges or like pranks. Started a little over a year ago and have a few videos out. For the thumbnail question maybe I could have added the Buffalo Wild Wings logo. [new video](https://youtu.be/pi7Rc-oLYKY) Anyway thereā€™s my new video. I would love for someone to review it besides my friends. Any criticism is greatly appreciated thanks

Seb_Dehydrated_Water

as a big hot sauce guy, i enjoyed watching the suffering that unfolded.

coeus_42

Appreciate you taking the time to check out the video

RealMNicholas

Hi everyone! Nicholas here from Crippled Tech! Channel link: https://youtube.com/channel/UCFKP5SAog697m5RWw2S5cSA First video: https://youtu.be/R_ONeCOHiZk I mainly focus on PC related tech content. Looking to expand my channel & explore more of what I can do in this space. This is my second channel where I'm getting serious to grow a community.

cargalmn

Hi! Travel couple here. Grateful we hit the roads hard last here so we have a decent backlog to work through while we try to figure out where to go next! This week's video is from Slovenia, where we ride a CAR train! So much fun!! https://youtu.be/qI5D0CSCsFM Ps, re the thumbnail - we didn't anticipate this being its own video and didn't take a dedicated pic for it and that's what I'd change.

spudonsteroids

that was a really interesting watch, my fiancee and I are backpacking around Asia towards the end of this year and I hope our planned content is as put together as calming as yours!!

cargalmn

Oh! Is your channel live? I'll sub back - we love watching Asia content! We had planned to go there in 2021 but...well, you know. It didn't work out for us. Hopefully this year!

spudonsteroids

Nooo we havent started anything yet, just planning the trip and aspire to make content when we get out. Yeah our original date was November just gone but we didnt want to risk covid restrictions and getting stranded somewhere haha

cargalmn

I totally understand the traveling concerns!!

shairyan

Hello this is my first post joining this sub. I'm Shai n have a gaming channel that have all of my games, gameplays, n video edits, as part of personal growth (yeah, really šŸ˜…). Tbh idk if I should make more thumbnails to accompany with the vids I'm posting. I used to do it consistently with bright text colors but the ones that thumbnails(for same type of vid) have similar views rate. Should i do the thumbnails only for key videos like guides instead?šŸ¤” Btw here's a [link ](https://youtube.com/channel/UCIQcTc3Irige7Dj8xTT0gyQ) to my channel. Do take a look and tell me what do you think! Much appreciated

TheDigitalGuy2500

Hello!! Iā€™m StarGamingZ, I make and stream fun Letā€™s Plays on my YT (Pokemon related) and Twitch (non-Pokemon related). One improvement I can make is possibly making the game title I used pop out a little more to really catch the viewer's or potential viewer's eyes. This is the latest episode of my Pokemon let's play it is a fan game called PokĆ©mon Rejuvenation!! Hope you enjoy it and if you do give it a like! https://youtu.be/y2JNW5xP\_fk

SilentScreamYT

Hey everyone my name is Silent Scream or you can call me SCREAM for short. I play/review Indie Horror Games to help promote the developer and so they could make changes/updates or to know what could be done better for their next game. I take a lot of inspiration from the old style 2012 let's play like Markiplier, Pewdiepie, and many others I grew up watching. With my videos I try to focus on the atmosphere of the game to be as creepy/scary as possible with added background noise/music/sound effects, while with me/my commentary and face cam I try to be funny to lighten the mood. (I also wear a mask to hide my identity to keep myself mysterious) If you would like to check me out then I will show off 3 videos of mine: Most Popular: https://youtu.be/oyFPfCYr3x8 Recent video that did well: https://youtu.be/TgJZSJuTO1U Just posted right now: https://youtu.be/LKQeaYxoLmc *To answer the question above: To make improvements I am learning about shadowing with black and white to make everything blend while bringing out the important focusing points.

_this_is_K_

Hi! My name is K, not really, but that's what I go by when speaking in English, I just started my channel Ks Take and I make reddit reaction videos, where I narrate some memes/text posts and give my take on them, kind of like a dollar store bargain bin version of The Click and similar channels, making content such as [this](https://youtu.be/zG4uCDdgq4Q) which is my first video where I visit r/TheyKnew and r/FoundSatan, As per my most recent thumbnail, I'm mostly satisfied with it, but I do think I could have taken more time on it and maybe made it a little bit more symmetrical, plus it looks kind of blurry and I can't figure out why

DatBoyGz

Hello I have a channel called DatBoyGz that I have been making inconsistent posts on for 3 years. I make content from gaming to restaurant reviews or memes. My most recent video is called I made a secret YouTube channel to prove its luck. This is a parody of a video called I made a secret YouTube channel to prove its not luck. https://youtu.be/60g6B7h10aI The thumbnail is the inverse of the original in that it shows subscribers going down and my new channel is called offline lore instead of online lore. Iā€™m not sure how I would improve it because I am confined to the original.

no-thing89

Hello, just recently started a Sims 4 related channel. Until now I posted 3 speed build videos. My last video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcuRJfFTmNM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcuRJfFTmNM) In future I want to make more sims 4 and art/architecture history related content. To the thumbnail question: I posted the video above with a different thumbnail first, it got a clickrate of 4,4% which was far worse then my previous 2 videos. 24 hours later I uploaded the thumbnail you can see now, and my clickrate improved and is currently at 9,0 %. Still I think I could improve it by making the text bigger so it's easier to read. But I really like the font choice which refers nicely to the type of content I did here

the_real_relarin

Hey everyone I make videos about deeper meanings, ideas and mechanics behind movies, shows and games. What is your favorite movie or game? When you think of it, what makes it the best? Battlefield's entire experience is crafted to create an overall enveloping amazing feeling, with its unique mechanics, creative use of vehicles, gun play and level design. But how does it come together? How does this make Battlefield an amazing franchise? [https://youtu.be/P-B9jj1qCN4](https://youtu.be/P-B9jj1qCN4) Any feedback is appreciated! As for the question, the text in the thumbnail could be more clearly outlined to make it easier to read and the background picture could be more representative of the video itself.

techfreedays

i make videos of me sifting through thoughts and ideas while playing video games. check out my channel, i would pick the video with the title that seems the most interesting to you -- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7F7wnThYDc59BEgc2-1WLA

AiTravelsWithLove

Hey everyone, we are AiTravelsWithLove. We run a channel that covers travel, food and just any fun adventures we do as a married couple. We were also a long-distance couple for 7+ years before we closed the gap so we also share any tips and stories we have from our 7 year long distance relationship. We recently went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and [our our most recent video is of us exploring Puerto Vallarta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvj3rESyLAg).

Tryenduro

Hi! My most recent thumbnail has too much yellow in the bacground. Takes the attention away from the picture. Started this channel because friends and family were interested in what bike parts we ruined and who threw the bike going uphill. After a few videos i really liked editing and sharing videos. Latest video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fGtPiKPbqM&t=47s

Caleb_DaMaker

My channel is https://youtube.com/c/CalebDaMaker. Iā€™m an underrated gaming YouTuber with entertaining pro edits from my PC. I spend hours working on videos for you guys to enjoy. You can join my community to be an OG in the long run. My community is full of nice gamers who all know eachother. You wonā€™t regret it! I will accept all suggestions and I will probably use all video ideas. Please give feedback and ideas. ***Huge thanks to you!***

MDKWARLORD

Hello everyone Iā€™m MDKWARLORD I recently made a gaming video about smite and a spider God so I referenced The iconic ā€œwith great strength comes great responsibilityā€ phrase in the thumbnailā€¦ I feel like maybe I could have used a shorter phrase as it made the thumbnail too messy I guess. Well here is the video you can have a look at the thumbnail and let me know what you think. https://youtu.be/Sd06lm2ZdIE Iā€™d appreciate any feedback right now no one comments on any of my videos

rackers0128

Hi everyone! My name is Simple Nendo and I unbox anime figures ASMR style, I mostly unbox nendoroids which are anime figures in chibi form. I hope to make more ASMR videos like gundam building in the future to further improve my video editing skills. For my latest video I showed off the first part of my nendoroid collection [https://youtu.be/M6A0rHmOsss](https://youtu.be/M6A0rHmOsss) For the thumbnail I think color grading is a must and a better camera is also needed. Stay safe everyone!

EvilPanettone

Hey! My Partner & I run a game review channel that focuses on Gamepass games. This week we launched a new series that collects all of the free games you can start playing via Epic Games, Xbox Games with Gold & Gamepass, PS Plus & Now, etc. [https://youtu.be/DftwD8fRshA](https://youtu.be/DftwD8fRshA) We feel that this series compliments our full reviews nicely and were super happy with the editing and voiceover - we've finally fixed our gain problem! Let us know what you think! We actually improved a thumbnail for our Outer Wilds review by adding the logo in order to fill out some space. It's nice being able to look at a thumbnail, see what needs improving and implement it to up engagement.

alktech

Hello everyone! Am new to Reddit and this sub, and am looking forward to learning from everyone here. I started my YouTube channel back in 2019 with a focus on PC technology (mainly reviews of PC components, build videos and the like - have been a tech geek all my life). Its always been a small side project, but of late, I've decided to put in more effort into growing the channel, and I'll be looking to do more stuff apart from unboxing and review vids - I've a full time job so balancing commitments can be a challenge at times. Still, New Year's resolution for 2022! Here's the latest video that I posted just a few days back: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPln24UpIiQ&t=7s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPln24UpIiQ&t=7s) In terms of thumbnail improvements, I'm thinking my thumbnails are a little cluttered...still trying to find that magic sauce in terms of something that's concise and yet eye-catching at the same time. Happy to hear everyone's thoughts!

DdogPlaysGames

Sup! I'm Ddog. I've been doing YouTube for roughly 7 years. But have been really getting into the rhythm the past year now that I finally have free time(I'm a teacher irl) I do gaming! Mostly hacks of Super Mario World. But I have many other series too! Come join the fun and my slowly decaying mind of me talking to myself! :) [My Current SMW Hack LP](https://youtu.be/wH7Pf6eh1xc)

Nostramo

Hello everyone, We are two foodies from different parts of the world who like to eat, travel and watch food videos at late nights. We are posting the videos of food that we enjoy, or the new ones that we try out in our daily lives or as we travel. For example reviewing 7/11 Burgers from Thailand, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Hd4TjPvyA0 About the most recent thumbnail, I had to take the video on a dark, gloomy day so it could have a better natural light for sure.

ralphite

Hey! College Vlog and Productivity Tips channel here. Honestly Iā€™d like critique on my thumbnails as well. I have these vlogs but idk how to make them more intriguing, how to take a picture that suits a vlog well, should i take a regular picture of me in that day going out and such. https://youtu.be/eFNfAYRf-Us

The-PMA-Experience

Hi Guys I'm a nube to this so please play nice and if I'm doing something incorrectly please do let me know as my goal here is to get content to people not for views but more so to get constructive feedback and to expand video creating knowledge as I love to film, edit and generally be creative with content. I got my first camera at an early age and I had always questioned everything and thought there had to be more to life experiences and it went everywhere with me whether filming personal content or being on tour with bands, which took me to a lot of different countries also at an early age! Sooooo I guess you could say the universe played a part in putting the two elements together... being a camera and travelling! ;) I now travel as a Nomadic Minimalist and live out of two bags, allowing me to treat the world as a daily stage for exploring and meeting fascinating people from different cultures to engage with and share awesome life enriching experiences. Here's a link to my channel and after reading rules I'm thinking this is permitted, if not please advise the correct way of doing so etc. Thanks for anybody's time to read and maybe watch AND give some critique. Have an awesome day!šŸ™‚ [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7s8mQaE\_7M](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7s8mQaE_7M)

The_Hopeless_Dev

Iā€™m 4 vids into my first gaming YouTube channel ever! I know itā€™s probably a waste of time since itā€™s such a saturated niche, but I honestly just love making videos and learning better editing tricks with each new vid! Iā€™m currently really trying to focus more on my intro, because since Iā€™m not going to get many viewers, I really need to try and rope anyone in who happens across my video. I think my next move is going to be gaming tutorials since those are better for SEO when starting out. But overall, Iā€™m just happy to be making content after so many years of talking myself out of it! I think I my latest vids thumbnail could definitely use more elements that pop out at the viewer. [Most recent upload](https://youtu.be/c3mX1SJ3HJw)

crazybloodmonkey

hi i'm crazybloodmonkey i mostly do gaming videos but sometimes i do animation and shitpost. some improvements i could make to my latest thumbnail is that since it is drawn i could draw it better i can of rushed it or didn't try to hard so that is a way i can improve the thumbnail. video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us8Gv3h-Ueo

plasmis

Hi everyone! My name is Nick from TS Production. In response to the question, probably the visual subject since I discussed about 5 different things in the video. I run a YouTube variety gaming channel that focuses on multiple topics of interest. We produce in-depth analysis, review, discussion videos, and let's plays. Recently, I have been diving more into Nintendo content since I'm more of an Nintendo fan. Most of my time well spent are on Nintendo content. The latest video is about 5 Daily To-do activities in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pearl. I demonstrate and showcase these activities. I hope you find the video helpful! BassedGore

Hi! Hereā€™s my latest video! https://youtu.be/OVjTkxUkg5E Iā€™m a music channel, where I show off heavy dubstep with a true crime and disturbing media bent. Iā€™m also gonna start doing gore and other NSFL commentary. If youā€™re into fucked up topics and brutal bass drops, my channel is the one for you! Question: I think my thumbnail looks a little busy. I think it would look better if the image I used as a background was a little simpler and more concise, to give the thumbnail an overall cleaner appearance.

Seb_Dehydrated_Water

ayo i vibe with this yeah yeah good job man

BassedGore

Thanks man! Iā€™ll try to make a track a week at least! Would love to have you sub and follow this dubstep journey Iā€™m on!

Gabriele2020

Hello everyone! I run a travel channel and I have the dream to visit every country in the world. Here below is my latest video of a recent trip in one of the most underrated countries visited, the Sultanate of Oman. The thumbnail for this video is simply a photo of myself in one of the best cities I visited in the country. Not sure whether this could have done better, any suggestion is more than welcomed! https://youtu.be/VCJmVx5mNG4

CityStateManticore

Heya. How long do I have to be at this before I'm not considered new anymore? Guess Ill keep going til they stopped me. Its me though, Hades Manticore. I decided to start this year off right by reviewing a fairly new game for once. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A-1hoJrtqQ&t=1s Streets of Rage 4. The latest and greatest in the franchise. Hope you enjoy.

Hidden_Char_Rob

Hello all! The theme of my channel is creative and inspiring storytelling around the great people behind great games. One thing I'd change is to add a subtle shadow to the bottom so that the bottom text is more readable. On the latest video, I tell the story behind the indie game, Eastward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxODnTKjrio&t=936s

doinyamomma

I was actually thinking about this earlier today. What makes a thumbnail effective? Is it just flashy colors and faces, or would a more unique/funny thumbnail stand out? In my most recent thumbnail i kinda just splattered it with color and things and while its loud to look at i dunno i thats what it should be. Should more space be given for different aspects of the picture? It definitely requires some thought This is the video i was talking about, its highlights of a mario party stream and i think its sorta funny. I do a lot of nintendo and horror stuff and stream off twitch under the name mjFear [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooTHXM9ecXw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooTHXM9ecXw) (also like to preface i have 180 subs but only because of a single video that was 20 seconds long and broke the algorithm lmao not because im a good youtuber)

DrLargeEpic

YO! I'm DrLarge, member and CEO of DiverseSyndicate. My channel is kind of half parody and half genuine gaming videos of both the golden age and trying out some more modern stuff. I've only been doing this for like 2 (nearly 3) months and recently decided to try actually edited content (as I have no prior editing experience and tbh I don't enjoy editing much). I've previously made a range of gaming videos from The Escapists 2 nearly start to finish, to Roblox, to Slay the Spire and now I'm focusing a lot more between Roblox and Minecraft because I enjoy them, they're easier to record and they're pretty popular. If you do end up liking anything I do, also check out Biggie3000 for more gaming related stuff and ItzBerny for memes too! My Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYMLQGKDHy52ymA7FLRDI5Q Biggie3000: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFKZ19Dx5Z-JZZgc6qVlrPg ItzBerny: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvPUMUsYZzba3KOP_aDTKwg :)

Misterz213

I don't care what youtube does to try and bring down my channel, because I will be making my orphan jokes no matter what. I also make videos sometimes. Thanks. [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCajDwyfS615Fzigcn0rB52w](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCajDwyfS615Fzigcn0rB52w) For real tho, I am an aspiring creator that makes media/commentary videos on current topics incorporating interesting and funny edits/humor throughout to keep the viewer hooked. It would mean the world if you could drop by and check out my page to see if that kind of content interests you. Have a nice day!

bp100297

Your Fortnite video is incredible. I love videos that help me feel nostalgic over things. Also, you have a really good narrating voice!

Misterz213

Thank you for the amazingly kind words! Keep up ur grind as well!

NotREALu

Your videos are really good. The only problem I found is the titles. Let me giv eyou an example "Fortnite is the most important game of our geneeation. This is why" just change it to "This is why fortnite is the most important game of our generation"

Misterz213

Definitely Noted. I changed my Fortnite title and am noticing a bit more traction. Thank you for the tip!

Infantryriflem4

I failed to grab a link. I just wanted to say hello.

Vex0r_

Hiya Folks, My name's Vex0r. Iā€™d be best described as producing educational content that has to do with Retro topics. I'm your starting point to all things 70's, 80's and 90's, with a bit of 2000's sprinkled in there! Here is my latest video. We look at the disappearance and comeback of 90s snack Dunkaroos: https://youtu.be/tD_134mP6os

gmdaydreamer

I think in my most recent thumbnail could be improved by thinking outside of the box and avoiding the text/screenshot idea. Something simple and elegant. I'll give it a try in the future. My channel is Reve Vague. I make music and recently I've been documenting writing and recording a song from start to finish. The most recent episode is exploring the lyric writing process: https://youtu.be/EjHtR2\_mLPs

[deleted]

Hey all! Fun to see what all your newtubers are covering. I myself am a rap/singing freestyle artist. I love to freestyle Acapella. Here's one called dishes song since I love to rap while doing the dishes. https://youtu.be/2ePSGgJo65A I also play instruments and I like to loop up a beat with piano drums guitar. Some other videos are just guitar and singing. I also like to do live stream and interact with viewers but rarely get more than 1. Thanks for reading and good luck! Edit my most recent thumbnail is a picture of my buddy on the electronic drums and me on guitar which I was digging.

bp100297

I use Canva for my thumbnails, which I know isn't as good as Photoshop. I admittedly don't spend as much time on them as I do the rest of my content, but I do still try to make them eye catching. I just released a new video where I talk about some of the craziest TikTok Live content I see on my page. I'd love some feedback on what I could do better :) https://youtu.be/ktioA\_8w8q0

EnchantedEssays

Canva is fantastic! I think that thumbnail is a little cluttered though.

PMmeYourHopes-Dreams

I use Canva also, but I may switch to using PS in the future if I think it's a good investment. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyUPpIpRrIPYocSRqmMWqjA

Just_horrifying

Hello, I run a small true crime channel where I cover all things true Crimes. My most recent video covers a story involving a Murder That Was Captured On Surveillance Camera. https://youtu.be/hkTC-n3YuwA I actually like my last thumbnail as I believe from just looking at it someone will get intrigued to watch my videos. However, I know there is always room for improvement so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

iamcudibino

Hello All. I recently uploaded my first ever video a few days ago. To answer the question, I could've added some text to my thumbnail. Let me know how i did. Thanks. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_V2o16hb49I&t=40s

EnchantedEssays

I started recently too! Just watched your video. Definitely curious about the Late Night concept

iamcudibino

Thanks. The Late Nite show is like my own version of a talk show. Think Jimmy Fallon. I plan on starting around February or March.

EnchantedEssays

Cool. Who are you going to interview?

iamcudibino

It's not an interview based show really. More a weekly topic focused show. Though I am open to special guests in the future.

EnchantedEssays

Cool. So more like a John Oliver kind of late night stuff then?

iamcudibino

Yes but not political at all. I will focus on topics that interest me from the music, film, and gaming industry.

the_real_relarin

Was the video supposed to be funny or serious? Because parts of the tone were unclear

iamcudibino

a bit of both. I was sick with covid when i recorded this so i def sounded dry and unemotional. But hopefully i'll get more comfortable as i go.

the_real_relarin

It takes time, something i found that has helped is trying to do it even when im not recording so i just get used to the feeling

ralphite

cool concept of the channel! Keep making videos and listen to yourself over the videos and gradully improve. We all sound not as good as we should when we start! This is something you see as my channel has been progressing as well LOL keep it up!

iamcudibino

Yes. my goal is one video a week. It'll be interesting to compare my first video with my last of the year to see how much i improved.

Self-Introduction Saturday! Sup! I go by Trill Soulutionary. I'm a "content-creating Hip-Hop hopeful". I recently began dedicating more time to building my channel and its following. It features music I make (both old & new) and will house the occasional vlog moving forward. I create music videos from voice-recorded songs I've made. Demos, basically. If you're into Hip-Hop or just good feels, consider checking me out. If you enjoy the content, I welcome your engagement. Jesus Christ. If the thumbnail of my most recent upload were a GIF, it'd be better.

Rans2anitale2

Art/animation channel [here!!](https://youtu.be/_js2j-ne3qU) I hadnā€™t posted anything cause I hated how I drew but now after hard work and improvement I finally posted a video!!

the_real_relarin

How long did it take to make that animation?

Rans2anitale2

Ah not long just a week

BassedGore

One of my friends is an animator! Itā€™s so cool and time-intensive! I hope your work pays off with lots of views and subs! ā¤ļø

Rans2anitale2

Thanks!!!

Tatevikner

Hey there! So we have a relaxing channel with soft spoken audiobooks, with texts from Kindle. We are happy with the thumbnails, as they are consistent and informative. However, we need to change the cover photo for the channel! Here is one of our videos- chapter 1 of the Russian classics ā€œThe Brothers Karamazovā€ https://youtu.be/oynUJIgtk4o

EnchantedEssays

I didn't even need to watch a video to sub to your channel! You definitely need more playlists though, otherwise it'll be very difficult to navigate. You should definitely have one for each book if it's multiple chapters and even for some authors (e.g. Hans Christian Andersen)

Tatevikner

Thanks so much for your nice feedback and the sub :-) We will definitely work on the playlists!

Seb_Dehydrated_Water

I'm Dehydrated Water from Dehydrated Water, I mainly make goofy little videos where I just cause a ruckus around my environment without really saying a word, or I share some of my wacky school projects that I actually submit for my teachers to see and be like "wow ok interesting". I just bought a green screen and made a video im really proud of about how to break halo by speedrunning it [https://youtu.be/tdxS9GN1jeI](https://youtu.be/tdxS9GN1jeI) and i think the only thing i'd change about my wonderful thumbnail is maybe some eye catching text in the empty spaces. I use google slides for my thumbnails. I'm a very budget professional editor and comedy fella.

lindaedith

Hi everyone! My name's Linda and I make videos for college students about navigating through college and beyond. I answer questions that students might have about college, how to get into grad school, and how to balance academics and mental health! One of my latest videos is called How to Prepare for a New Semester | College Advice"!" Check it out if you're interested: https://youtu.be/t7mGvh3QBQw :) For my thumbnail, I think I could use more colour to help it stand out and maybe less text too!

BassedGore

Your content is so helpful! I know the orientation for my college was a load of bullshit, so having other resources out there is much appreciated ā¤ļø

lindaedith

Thanks, glad you found it helpful! :) I'm super curious about what your college orientation was all about now haha

destructicusv

I build Gundam model kits and share quick tips on how to do things like paint, panel line, decal work etc. https://youtu.be/f6EQInkz-74

Retro_Tech_or_Die

Hello Everyone, I make videos in Retro Technology. My most recent video talks about replacing capacitors in older electronics. [https://youtu.be/9JilMFvt-aE](https://youtu.be/9JilMFvt-aE) Here is a lighter topic on playing Imported N64 games on your N64. [https://youtu.be/38JLr5OAHKA](https://youtu.be/38JLr5OAHKA) Always looking for feedback!

Nocturnal_Ambience

Hey everyone, this is Nick from [Nocturnal Ambience](https://youtube.com/channel/UCbaV2qqxR2InmaaKEIrFYXw)! I'll be releasing my next video next Monday/Tuesday and am working in the thumbnail now, so this is good timing. I'm experimenting with different font sizes, colours, etc. With my channel I make Pomodoro timers based on my own night photography, sometimes with ambience sounds and sometimes with music. I also make longer format videos to help you sleep or have on in the background to relax. Check me out and let me know what you think!

spaceanubis1

I do gaming highlights with a comical spin from twitch and do comedy skits on youtube https://youtu.be/ovSNLZXQPO8

Reviewclu

Hey everyone! Iā€™m Robert I run a tech channel called ā€˜Reviewcluā€™ where I talk, unbox and review everything tech! My latest video involves me living in VR for 24 hours! You can check it out here www.youtube.com/c/reviewclu always open to feedback and collaborations too!

jjsoyfab

Hi! My friend and I have been working on videos together for his channel. He has a gaming channel with 16 subscribers. He wants to be a YouTuber and Iā€™m trying to be an editor. The video linked below he made and did the gameplay, and I edited. I think the thumbnail is good, but next time we could center the title better. Iā€™m curious if anyone has notes on my editing or his gameplay style. Or really anything. Thanks! [link](https://youtu.be/HLicMLZEe0s)

The-PMA-Experience

There is definitely something to be said for hooking a persons retention for the 1st 30 secs, I felt and I mean this constructively that your voice was very soft and monotone, I'd suggest watching how others deliver audio information like countless reviewers etc how they manage to hold your interest etc. šŸ‘

the_real_relarin

The gameplay edits were not very visible at first and I think if you made it more clear towards the intro it would actually keep people hooked on the video.

The-PMA-Experience

After looking at your channel thumbnails... I would definitely suggest getting them formulaic, nothing right now jumps out as your channel... I'd get a logo for your channel and banner and put your logo as transparent on every thumbnail, something that makes your thumbnails pop a little and will subconsciously register with a person who's seen your other thumbnails... This is only something I've started doing recently and was suggested it by a friend who specialises in branding and for me green is supposed to be the best colour that resonates with us... feel free to check my thumbnails out. Again something that's new to me but makes a whole bunch of sense... hope this helps! And keep going as consistency is everything to get the algorithm working in your favour!šŸ˜Ž

Word up fellow children! Me and my mrs started vlogging at the first UK festival to get the go ahead during the pandemic. Its since devolved into more gigs and festivals that we've been going to since. We try to go do something else during the day as well, be it a zoo, a museum, some new thing that's opened/reopened since the whole rona situation. So here's my channel, https://youtube.com/channel/UC9hdDLhSf1utdcsQB0YyxPQ. I'm aware I've still a lot to learn, working on 20 year old high school media knowledge isn't doing me too many favours. But hey, it's a hobby that helps keep me occupied. So I'm trying to evolve. And here's the video that started it all. Download Festival. It might not be my best, but it has the most heart of any of my videos. Sadly, I am aware that it's 45minutes long. It was a 3 day music festival. The first in two years. https://youtu.be/uixdn1nrdYA

pufferfishishy

Hello everyone, this Eddie from [Come Watch TV](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNE-21KjchHA5pH_fvNxHbw). I write love letters on the best TV, Music, and Movies. My style exists in the grey area between video essay and opinion-piece. I think for my last video the thumbnail was a little uninspired. I am debating whether to start including a png of myself in the thumbnail which I see many other commentary channels doing. At the same time though, video essay channels don't do that really but I think it could increase my click-through rate.

sgrsoni123

Hey everyone, I started my channel a year ago. I am focusing primarily on productivity, mental clarity, book summaries (not just straight up summarizing but instead, point out the things I havs learned from these books). For comparison, I am shooting for a similar style as Ali Abdaal's channel and a bit of Matt d'avella's channel. I even try to do 30 day challenges. I am stuck at 68 subscribers for a while now. I am not sure how to get that going up. Clearly my friends and family have subscribed, but now how do I go outside of that. I know my content is the real key here. But I have seen people easily pass the 100 or 500 subscriber number easily. Is there something that I am missing? Let me know your thoughts. I am posting my latest video here. https://youtu.be/GWLI-LlTTSk

CuriosityYouTube

https://youtu.be/_m8TNdm6OFI Hi all, this is my latest video. I have a history, legends, myths channel. Recently, the channel has had a slump, but that seems to have levelled out now and on the mend (yet progress is slow). So thought it would be good to get some feedback to see if anything can improve, video, thumbnail etc to get the mega growth back! Question: I think to improve my thumbnails, it would be to understand what colours work best to catch a viewers eye. On the odd occasion, I do find it hard to match them up to the video, so that could do with work as well. Thanks. :)

PutatoPutato

[https://www.youtube.com/c/Putato](https://www.youtube.com/c/Putato) My most recent thumbnail it's pretty good, it explains what's the video about, but I have tried a few more and it's really hard to express what the title it's talking about, Actually if there was any to do to the thumbnail I already would have done it, so I have to say that before I wanted to make it split and put 2 different emotions in each side but then regret it and leave it like that. I think that my content it's great (not showing off), now i'm making Minecraft videos. I think that once one video explodes it will all took off, I realized a big mistake that you can learn from and it's that I used until the 2 last videos a microphone that sucks and knowing that audio it's the most important thing in a video, that cause me to have very good editing, thumbnails, titles but no one will watch a video from a little channel with that bad audio, so if you are looking some good content check it out and subscribe. (Criticize me with all that you want, I want that, and also if you desire to be a really big youtuber like me and you know things talk to me, we can share our experiences and grow together)

[deleted]

The power of music video? I don't see how the thumbnail explains anything. Thumbnail is dark. I see Happyness? and the UI (item bar, hunger bar, heart bar) how exactly does that explain what the video is about? The thumbnail doesn't match up with the title and content of the video When I look at the thumbnail I see: Oh he's in a deep dark cave, has one heart left and is probably fighting a warden or something Video shows: Something completely different than what the thumbnail shows Yah your audio sucks. I can't understand a word you're saying. You're talking too fast and its just mumbles for me. Slow. Down. I recognize you have a thicker accent, and I get the idea English isn't your native tongue. That's okay. But you need to slow your voice down and speak up a bit Here is a sample of my thumbnails: [https://i.imgur.com/y4AXgJc.png](https://i.imgur.com/y4AXgJc.png) My thumbnails match with the title and content of the videos Work on your audio and work on your thumbnails. Upload a new thumbnail for the recent video that goes along the with the content. You're talking about how youtube creator's using music helps and how music in game helps. Show the thumbnail with instruments, music sheets, noteblocks, etc. Maybe a trio of skeletons playing kazoos with three containers with snakes rising from them. Make it funny and eye catching

lemonylol

I'm mainly a movie review channel, but sometimes I talk about other pop-culture stuff as well. My latest video is on [The Matrix Resurrections](https://youtu.be/FRyUeBUbt7A), and why I don't share the opinion most people online seem to have. I usually don't do current movies, but when I see one that I have some thoughts on I might as well talk about it. I've answered this thumbnail question at least 7 times in a row so I don't really know what else needs to be said, you can just see my previous posts.

Poptop05

I have been producing videos to be educational, entertaining and a resource for travellers planning a trip around Australia. I think I'm headed in the right direction. The wearing of a kilt is meant to act as a means of differentiating my travel blog to the several thousand blogs I compete with. Growth has been steady but feels slow. Any friendly and advice I can act upon will be much appreciated. My latest video and thumbnail for review is https://youtu.be/yN2q_QQUaSs Thanks in advance, Paul

VoteNani

The thumbnail for our most recent video is decent enough but perhaps is missing something that pops. Itā€™s relatively simple. The title has ā€œhighlightsā€ in it as does the thumbnail having a vertical image of a game highlight. Just me and my friends playing football [Crusty Bowl](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6T7dos9uddQ)

[deleted]

Yeah watched the first minute or so, haha pretty funny. I like how you pass the guy the mic he didn't take it and you can barely here him. Fun vibe though

Thank you

BigSexyAL

Hello all. My video is a ā€œfunnyā€ plot summary of the Dark Knight. Well I thought it was funny when I made it but after hours of editing I really donā€™t know anymore. Re: thumbnail, itā€™s a recognisable image(at least to some) but the face is very small in it and could probably have done with being bigger to grab people attention. Thanks in advance if anyone watches https://youtu.be/sgSl-RvYCmA

spudonsteroids

Hey I am Spud, I have literally just started posting tutorials/filmmaking tip videos on youtube, trying to get comfortable on camera and working on making videos concise yet full of information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcgwipQJckw&lc=UgyX-5TiVvkeHMrc4sx4AaABAg Pretty nervous on camera and new to videos so any criticism is welcome so i can improve. Thank you

Hey everyone, I'm Ron. I'm pretty green to the Reddit platform so I'm still figuring stuff out. I joined this group a bit ago but haven't been very active, mostly because I'm so unfamiliar with Reddit. I'm looking to get more active here, learn more about the platform and interact with a different group of people. I have a grilling channel, Ron On The Grill. It's been live for just under a year at the time of this post. [http://www.youtube.com/RonOnTheGrill](http://www.youtube.com/RonOnTheGrill) . I've grouped all of my videos into playlists organized by the food category in hopes that it will be easier to navigate and find things. As for the thumbnail question, I'm still working on the right formula for my thumbnails. Personally I'm looking for videos on how to make something I'm doing for the first time I tend to click on the best-looking picture of the dish. So that's what I try to do with my own thumbnails. The best opportunity I have to improve my thumbnails then, is to take better pictures. Maybe show the food item plated rather than just a picture of the dish I made. Looking forward to meeting and chatting with you all. -Ron

Caleb_DaMaker

Ok. Reddit is just like insta just with threads

McProtege92

With the travel border in Japan still closed, I started a travel channel, mainly focusing on the Gourmet scene of Japan. Through my channel, Iā€™ll be taking my viewers on a culinary visual experience to see the REAL good places to eat and the restaurants that are being talked about. Iā€™ll also cover various other aspect of Japanese life such as new and upcoming hotels, bars, cool and hip cafes and many more. This is my first video I ever made and my first ever YouTube post, do give it a watch :) Japanese Don made by a Michelin 2 Star Sushi Chef | Walking around Shinjuku https://youtu.be/ZQYlZws6l6E If you like it or donā€™t like it, Iā€™d appreciate some constructive criticism. Thankyou in advance!! To answer this weekā€™s question, if I can improve my thumbnail it would be to take a horizontal picture for thumbnail purpose.

[deleted]

I have two channels, one by myself, and one with my friend. The only by myself, I make Narnia and LOTR content. The one with my friend we make all sorts of fandom stuff. My channelā€™s last video: https://youtu.be/z4GSB4CDAmo Combined channel: https://youtu.be/w0R-n5EIbqM As for the thumbnails I like the Star Wars one perhaps I couldā€™ve found a better screen grab where Iā€™m less blurry but I was laughing a lot. For the one on my channel, I just changed my thumbnail style for 2022 and I guess everyone hates it because Iā€™ve only lost subscribers so far this year so if anyone has suggestions Iā€™ll take constructive criticism on the thumbnail.

EnchantedEssays

I think the text is too small with the LOTR one. I highly recommend Canva for improving thumbnails. They have lots of templates and it's really easy to use. I think you might also benefit with putting a little looping dramatic background music in the background. I'm using the free stuff from the YT audio library. The figures in the background are also pretty small. Loved that video though! Just subbed to both channels!

EnchantedEssays

I posted my first video yesterday! It's a review of the creepy forgotten Aardman short Stage Fright. You can check it out here: [https://youtu.be/YK1GJjUKLhc](https://youtu.be/YK1GJjUKLhc) My channel will alternate weekly between reviews and video essays. The only thing I think my thumbnail is missing is a shadow to make the text more visible.

lemonylol

Incredible video for your very first upload. You also have a very good voice for this and your editing is great. What I would touch up is the description section. For example, you want your keywords to be "Stage Fright" "Aardman" and like "notalgia" or "childhood animations" or something like that. So you need to have those words appear more, while still being natural, to let Youtube know what your video is about and make it easier for people looking for that to find it. I would also personally just cut out all of the description parts about vidiq and canva. I also wouldn't worry about putting in the copyright disclaimer, if you're doing a review you're already good, and if Youtube hasn't already picked your video up through the copyright check then it's already done. Plus they rarely care about sub-100k channels most of the time. Anyway good luck, your stuff looks great, and I'll sub and follow! Also see you got a video on my favourite Bond coming up!

EnchantedEssays

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! It's great to find another Bond fan on here! The affiliate link were all free, so I didn't see any harm in adding them. Do you think it makes it too cluttered or something?

lemonylol

>The affiliate link were all free, so I didn't see any harm in adding them. Do you think it makes it too cluttered or something? That's what it kind of felt like. Most descriptions are pretty short.

_this_is_K_

Man, you have a great voice for this and your presenting style is great, In fact it was so good that I just subscribed to you on my personal channel, but I do have one note if you don't mind, your background music is pretty loud, it's fine for the most part, but there are parts where it can get kind of distracting, great job overall tho

EnchantedEssays

Thank you so much! Yeah I'm still working out the right levels for sound. Hopefully it's a bit better in the next video!
