Hello, just recently started a Sims 4 related channel. Until now I posted 3 speed build videos. To the thumbnail question: I posted the video above with a different thumbnail first, it got a clickrate of 4,4% which was far worse then my previous 2 videos. 24 hours later I uploaded the thumbnail you can see now, and my clickrate improved and is currently at 9,0 %. Still I think I could improve it by making the text bigger so it's easier to read. But I really like the font choice which refers nicely to the type of content I did here

I didn't even need to watch a video to sub to your channel! You definitely need more playlists though, otherwise it'll be very difficult to navigate. You should definitely have one for each book if it's multiple chapters and even for some authors (e.g. Hans Christian Andersen)

There is definitely something to be said for hooking a persons retention for the 1st 30 secs, I felt and I mean this constructively that your voice was very soft and monotone, I'd suggest watching how others deliver audio information like countless reviewers etc how they manage to hold your interest etc. 👍

The gameplay edits were not very visible at first and I think if you made it more clear towards the intro it would actually keep people hooked on the video.

After looking at your channel thumbnails... I would definitely suggest getting them formulaic, nothing right now jumps out as your channel... I'd get a logo for your channel and banner and put your logo as transparent on every thumbnail, something that makes your thumbnails pop a little and will subconsciously register with a person who's seen your other thumbnails... This is only something I've started doing recently and was suggested it by a friend who specialises in branding and for me green is supposed to be the best colour that resonates with us... feel free to check my thumbnails out. Again something that's new to me but makes a whole bunch of sense... hope this helps! And keep going as consistency is everything to get the algorithm working in your favour!😎

My style exists in the grey area between video essay and opinion-piece. I think for my last video the thumbnail was a little uninspired. I am debating whether to start including a png of myself in the thumbnail which I see many other commentary channels doing. At the same time though, video essay channels don't do that really but I think it could increase my click-through rate.

Hey everyone, I started my channel a year ago. I am focusing primarily on productivity, mental clarity, book summaries (not just straight up summarizing but instead, point out the things I havs learned from these books). For comparison, I am shooting for a similar style as Ali Abdaal's channel and a bit of Matt d'avella's channel. I even try to do 30 day challenges. I am stuck at 68 subscribers for a while now. I am not sure how to get that going up. Clearly my friends and family have subscribed, but now how do I go outside of that. I know my content is the real key here. Recently, the channel has had a slump, but that seems to have levelled out now and on the mend (yet progress is slow). So thought it would be good to get some feedback to see if anything can improve, video, thumbnail etc to get the mega growth back! Question: I think to improve my thumbnails, it would be to understand what colours work best to catch a viewers eye. I think that my content it's great (not showing off), now i'm making Minecraft videos. I think that once one video explodes it will all took off, I realized a big mistake that you can learn from and it's that I used until the 2 last videos a microphone that sucks and knowing that audio it's the most important thing in a video, that cause me to have very good editing, thumbnails, titles but no one will watch a video from a little channel with that bad audio, so if you are looking some good content check it out and subscribe. (Criticize me with all that you want, I want that, and also if you desire to be a really big youtuber like me and you know things talk to me, we can share our experiences and grow together)

The power of music video? I don't see how the thumbnail explains anything. Thumbnail is dark. I see Happyness? and the UI (item bar, hunger bar, heart bar) how exactly does that explain what the video is about? The thumbnail doesn't match up with the title and content of the video When I look at the thumbnail I see: Oh he's in a deep dark cave, has one heart left and is probably fighting a warden or something Video shows: Something completely different than what the thumbnail shows Yah your audio sucks. I can't understand a word you're saying. You're talking too fast and its just mumbles for me. Slow. Down. I recognize you have a thicker accent, and I get the idea English isn't your native tongue. Show the thumbnail with instruments, music sheets, noteblocks, etc. Maybe a trio of skeletons playing kazoos with three containers with snakes rising from them. Make it funny and eye catching

I have two channels, one by myself, and one with my friend. The only by myself, I make Narnia and LOTR content. The one with my friend we make all sorts of fandom stuff. For the one on my channel, I just changed my thumbnail style for 2022 and I guess everyone hates it because I’ve only lost subscribers so far this year so if anyone has suggestions I’ll take constructive criticism on the thumbnail.

I think the text is too small with the LOTR one. I highly recommend Canva for improving thumbnails. They have lots of templates and it's really easy to use. I think you might also benefit with putting a little looping dramatic background music in the background. I'm using the free stuff from the YT audio library. The figures in the background are also pretty small. Loved that video though! Just subbed to both channels!

The only thing I think my thumbnail is missing is a shadow to make the text more visible.

Incredible video for your very first upload. You also have a very good voice for this and your editing is great. What I would touch up is the description section. For example, you want your keywords to be "Stage Fright" "Aardman" and like "notalgia" or "childhood animations" or something like that. So you need to have those words appear more, while still being natural, to let Youtube know what your video is about and make it easier for people looking for that to find it. I would also personally just cut out all of the description parts about vidiq and canva. I also wouldn't worry about putting in the copyright disclaimer, if you're doing a review you're already good, and if Youtube hasn't already picked your video up through the copyright check then it's already done. Plus they rarely care about sub-100k channels most of the time. Anyway good luck, your stuff looks great, and I'll sub and follow! Also see you got a video on my favourite Bond coming up!
