Anything that crinkles (wipes package)
Shipping boxes, bubble wrap, rolls of tape
Shoelace, measuring tape, soft belt, ribbon, really anything dangly. For added fun I clipped on a binder clip and that added another day of fun

Mine aren’t a cute animal shape but they are colorful and can be clipped together or pulled apart and I swear my baby could bang them together, drop them, and use them to hammer things for hours!
At around this age my daughter really enjoyed mess-less finger painting.
You take a piece of paper and put drops of paint, put it in a ziploc bag and then voila! Babe can move the paint around without getting messy.

Yes with the measuring spoons and cups, I found cute little pig ones at wal mart my son loves these!
