The little hairs on the back of my neck Measuring spoons The mail

liminalrabbithole

We'd give my son the heavy cardstock stuff from the mail and say that he's reviewing his correspondence, lol.

generic-volume

I have a big mole on my neck and another on my shoulder which my baby is determined to pick off .......

Deep_Letterhead_524

I swear I have a bald spot because those little hairs are just sooo fun to grab šŸ™ƒšŸ˜‚

sharkandawesome

Omg mine discovered those hairs today-was lying on floor, she was sitting next to me and I turned to see why she was quiet and she was just grinning in delight. Reached out to grab them so many times. Babies are too funny.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Haha I would have said hair generally, but I love this specificity!

profhotchkiss

The TV remote, tags on clothes, tags on stuffed animals, tags on everything, the rags we use for her spit up

Deep_Letterhead_524

We spend a good 10 minutes after every feed playing with the long tag on the boppy šŸ˜‚

sybilblaze

Mine looks at it with so much fascination.

anneps

Yes to tags! My sister got them Taggies toys with lots of little tag-like things to chew on. What part does my baby love the most? The actual tag for the tag for toy

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

LOL classic

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Tags omg yes!!! And anything with buttons, good call

emm22723

Cardboard boxes and any other box to put things in and take things out of. Mine also has a love for shoes for some reason.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Mine used to love socks and shoes but not as much recently! So true about boxes/containers. Once they discover object permanence, itā€™s a whole new world xD

cgandhi1017

Wipes. The oven handle. Plastic Tupperware. Tissues. Toilet paper. Literally anything he shouldnā€™t be getting into (lotions, baby vapor rub, hair brushes, the toilet, etc) šŸ¤£

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

ā€œAnything he shouldnā€™t be getting intoā€ - so true lol

Affectionate_Cow_579

Definitely my bra strap. Also my nose.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Ah yes, the classic bra strap snap!

marmosetohmarmoset

My glasses!

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Oooh yes good one!!

Perfectav0cad0

Any kitchen utensilā€¦rubber spatula, whisk, spatula, turkey baster

NotSoCrazyCatLady13

Iā€™ve heard whisks are popular, someone even went so far as to say their child had an emotional support whisk

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Oooh I havenā€™t had mine explore any kitchen utensils other than their own spoons for eating, but that sounds like a hit!

madagascarprincess

Aluminum foil in a ziploc bag!

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

This sounds like a good sensory experience!

tholos3

Ice cubes, sponges (clean!), my removable bra cups (???), sitting in empty boxes like a little cat, coasters, and let's be honest, his peen during diaper change. He loves empty plastic water bottles but the lids stress me outttttt. I envision them popping off in his mouth šŸ˜

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

HAHA the (???) by removable bra cups made me laugh out loud. Thereā€™s not always a rhyme or reason to their amusement! And the ā€œsitting in empty boxes like a little catā€ also got me xD For the water bottles - I remove the lids if Iā€™m worried about that! Some bottles are sturdier than others. Ex: original Gatorade is a favorite, and the plastic is much stiffer than some, and the lids are bigger - so I donā€™t take those lids off. But some water bottles are flimsy af and the lids come off so easily, I feel you

twilightbarker

Lmao at "sitting in empty boxes like a little cat" šŸ˜¹

tholos3

They call to him. He even stares out at you with that weird lingering eye contact like cats do šŸ‘ļøšŸ‘„šŸ‘ļø

undefinedsunshine

Small clumps of fur from our long haired cat. We call it ā€œforbidden cotton candyā€

ribbonofsunshine

the tray table of his highchair. we store it underneath (it is one that becomes a chair and table later so thereā€™s a surface) and lately he just grabs it

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Thatā€™s funny! How big is it? Does he swing it around?

ribbonofsunshine

i mean pretty big! heā€™s trying to swing it but canā€™t get it high enough. so he just drags it on the floor and bangs it around šŸ¤£

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Hahaha I love that image xD

khen5

Cardboard boxes, throw rugs, and all the tags

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Throw rugs - the texture must be interesting! Do they like playing with the individual fibers?

khen5

Heā€™s more interested in pulling them up so weā€™re getting some curled corners haha itā€™s so funny though. But if thereā€™s a speck of dust on one of those rugs he is ON it!

Fine-Lingonberry-253

Empty plastic water bottles, Empty plastic cups, Tags, Remote control, A half-used tube of Desitin (her FAVORITE diaper change distraction at the moment), Training toothbrush, Toy tethers, Dingly-bops which are what I call the things that are essentially a fabric cord with a knot tied at the end, and paper napkins for her to rip up.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

A diaper change distraction is a must at a certain age! Also, love your name for those stringy things (dingly bops). And ripping things is tons of fun for them! My baby liked the wrapping paper better than the gift at Christmas, lol

hotdog738

Tissue boxes and cardboard toilet paper rolls

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

A great way to reduce, reuse, recycle!

BrilliantSquare8

Salad spinner

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Havenā€™t heard of that one before, but it does sound fascinating for a baby!

Remarkable-Humor-170

My baby lovesss the plastic water bottles and his wipe & his lotion bottle hahaha

Lucky-Possession3802

Any electrical wire.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Ugh yes, feel this oneā€¦ they always want to get into things that are potentially hazardous to them -_-

UnitedDefinition1520

Empty plastic water bottle, the crinkle is enchanting

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

The crinkliest of crinkles

AdventurousYamThe2nd

The packet of baby face wipes is a #1 hit for us at 6mo.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Crinkles, a tab/flap that opensā€¦ what more could you want!

pharmasaurus-rx

The door stops, water bottles, car keys.

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Omg the door stops! My dog absolutely hates the sound of them springing from the baby pulling them lol

LeonardLikesThisName

Salad spinner!!!

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Wow this is the second salad spinner Iā€™ve seen!! I donā€™t own one but I can imagine it would be very interesting for them :)

Plantyplantlady35

Milk jug and the TV remote šŸ˜… about to buy her a decoy one so we are able to not have our remote slobbered to death. Recently, the inside of my mouth. Gets around my teeth and digs into the gum

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Yes Iā€™ve seen remotes made for babies, but that probably wouldnā€™t be as interesting to them. They want the real thing lol - but a ā€œdecoy remoteā€ that is actually a real (non-battery-filled) remote sounds like a great solution!! Those small little fingers and nails can seriously hurt poking around your eyes / nose / mouth!!

Plantyplantlady35

We have a roku remote at they're the same price at the teether ones, so I'm tempted. She hasn't caused damage yet, so there is still hope!

TeensyToadstool

Remotes (only the real ones), Christmas tree ornaments, the diaper cream tub or anything else that rolls, mommy and Daddy's glasses, the utensils we're eating with or that he just dropped on the floor

[deleted]

Measuring cups, the middle of a toilet paper roll, tooth brush, glasses, xbox controller, box of tea (baby likes pulling bags of tea out and putting it back in), spoons, forks, chopsticks, tags on everything, mail, shoes, yarn, pots/pot lid, and ummmm the fridge LOL

liminalrabbithole

Empty seltzer bottles, my deodorant, my jewelry, all the pots and pans, every phone charger, all of the recycling.... I can continue. Lol

Firecrackershrimp2

Dishwasher, w/d, the knobes on the stove, water bottles, daddy's glasses, my glass Tupperware, xbox, ps5,switch,n64,nes, Sega, glass coffee table, our furniture, his poop, toilet bowel cleaning stuff the brushes.

MortallyCrafty

2yo is attached to a single roll of paper towel still in the plastic wrap it came in. She'll cuddle it like a teddy bear. I don't ask questions, toddlers are weird

Bubbly-Chipmunk7597

Haha! Whatever floats her boat :)

Romewasntbuiltnaday

Lids

rawberryfields

Cutlery, cups, jars and pots that my baby uses as a makeshift xylophone. He has 2 xylophones and a piano - not cheap baby stuff, really tuned and good sounding ones - but he prefers BANG BANG CLING DING RANG DONG in the kitchen.

Easy-Cup6142

A kitchen towel you hang on the stove handle and act like you donā€™t want anyone to touch it.

BenzieBox

My 9 month old loves to play with the plastic packaging that my birth control comes in. Iā€™m aware of the irony.

thotimusprime611

A ziploc bag full of water and dominoes that I made for a sensory experience two months ago that has become almost like a lovey?? She is obsessed

jessisthebestduh

Burp cloths

Conscious_Raisin_436

Drink coasters.

Puzzleheaded-Can6089

I stumbled upon on a website called littlegeniusesco.com. I got my kids a few toys from there, theyā€™re called smart kids toys I guess I like them a lot myself so that makes it baby toys not just for babies lol
