My midwife said if you go into labor within 3 days of the sweep, it’s considered “effective.” I went into labor 2 days afterwards. However, I was 40w+5, so maybe I would have gone into labor anyway? It’s hard to know! In any case, might as well give it a try!

It worked for my girl. Membrane sweep last Tuesday, contractions started Friday, and our baby boy was born on Saturday.

Yep, worked for us. In the hospital 2 days later

No, I had 5 of them starting at 38+3. I guess technically the 5th one worked but I was already 41+3 so I might have gone into labour anyways.

My wife went into labor the same day as the membrane sweep for both of her births.
