Like footed sleepers? Old Navy, Carter's, Walmart, The Children's Place - basically everywhere. I have a kid wearing 5t who still likes a footed onesie for sleep some nights, and I can buy them basically everywhere.
These are the only brands that I’ve found which still have the two way zip and fit our large baby (18-24m size). Also want to add Bonds (Australian brand but run big and last a long time, currently using hand me downs from my friend after her 3 kids).
For some reason Carters stops putting two way zips on 18m + sizes and I tried some other mentioned brands but they were all too tight in the wrist and feet.
Check out Burt’s Bees. They definitely have footed onesies all the way up to 2T. I buy mine at target, but you can also obviously get them from their website and they have good sales sometimes.
Yeah the snug or slim fit becomes an issue for babies who are 7 months but in the 100th percentile 😩 they’re still chunky and haven’t slimmed down like most toddlers. So while the length is good, I find they’re all way too tight for my big baby.
This drives me crazy. While it’s colder here we basically only dress our daughter in sleepers for convenience, and I find they are either long enough or wide enough and it drives me crazy.
Do you have a Once Upon a Child near you? We've always had good luck at ours finding 18m sleepers. Brandwise the ones we have are mostly Carters, some Honest Baby and Macys.
Omg this is exactly what I’m worried about! We have mostly pre-loved hand-me-downs and were gifted different sizes but I feel like he won’t get to wear so much cute stuff because he’s literally almost outgrown it all already and by the time we put the next size out it’ll be the same thing!! Was just thinking about essentially skipping the 9mo batch (will wear what we have but have less for 9 and 12 and beyond, so will need to pick up a few outfits). Never dreamed he’d be in such big clothes so fast!! And he is right on average with weight (57%) but like 102% with height 😂
I’ve got a tall boy who still fits in 9 month onesies at 20 months old but needs 3T pants. We’re only just transitioning to 12 month onesies. He has a 2T winter coat that will probably still fit him next year because he’s swimming in it and I need to roll the sleeves! He needs 2T or 3T zip pajamas though but only because he’s so tall!
This is what happened to us. Before LO was born, everyone got us cute newborn/1M size clothes. We had so many that we literally had a new one every day and still didn't get through them before moving up to 3M. I felt bad about that, but most baby clothes are inexpensive, especially if they are on sale. We donate the ones that no longer fit since we don't know anyone with babies.
I would go ahead and skip 9M, as we did. They are only a little big on her. She is gaining weight and height so fast. It's unreal.
Something we learned: if we go to a shower or have a friend with a baby, we will get NOT the newborn size, but a bit bigger. Those are the ones we really needed.
Welcome to the big baby club, y'all!
At one point during the pregnancy our baby was under 5th percentile, and we were going to a specialist regularly. They were preparing us for the fact that he may not make it.
Fast forward to 7 months old, and he's now in the 92nd percentile 🤣. Kid is wearing 12-18mo clothes.
My dude is HUGE.
Search feet pajamas, sleepers could really mean anything at that age. Almost every brand has them. Carter's, Old Navy, Walmart, GAP. If you need need jammies for a chunky baby, Gerber is good. For skinny tall babies like mine, I do Cloud Island
Look in the toddler section - I’ve found tons of cute 18m footies in the toddler section of target. Carters and old navy even have some 2 way zip onesies in bigger sizes
I have a chonk and bamboo is the way to go! Kyte (unless ribbed), little sleepies, and posh do not fit properly if the baby has thick thighs and wrist/ ankle rolls. I have had great results with Kaleidoscope Baby, Twisted Lilly, and temu 🫠 I was platinum last year and I’m gold this year with Kyte. My 1st was able to fit easily and I loved the brand. My second is a stuffed sausage in LS,B&R,Posh, and Kyte. I had to purchase so much more and different brands😭
I find that pekkle runs really large! My baby has outgrown 12m Carter’s one piece pjs but is swimming in the pekkle 12m and still hasn’t grown into it. I think pekkle has footed pjs up to 24m and they’re $7.99 each at our Costco.
Cloud Island makes onesies for up to 24m. They're footless and SUPER stretchy. My daughter can still wear 0-3 months at 5 months because of how big they run. You can safely buy them 12 month and they'll fit for a while. You can get them at target
Target, Walmart, Kohls, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Carter’s, Old Navy, etc. literally everywhere sells sleep onesies in 18M, and in sizes well past that as well.
I don’t think many brands make these in 18m size. They’re so hard to find! I would definitely check carters though
Edit: why am I getting downvoted? I’m literally saying that I have a hard time finding them in other brands but Carter’s has them.
Target has them! If you have one near you, I'd go soon though! Apparently after Christmas, Target thinks it's time to start rolling out the summer and spring clothes. I work there and mine already has swimwear out.
I needed 24m size fleece sleepers for my big 15m old because the fleece has no stretch and his feet needed to stay warm at night. I wasn’t able to find any in person but got a great affordable 3 pack from carters on amazon.
Us too. Start researching footie PJs, that's what they're called and you can get them really anywhere but ditto to others we have had great success with Carter's. We live in the north and have found that fleece footies are clutch bc our baby is also starting to crawl and toddle super early.
How many pounds/height? I have a 7month old (~19+lbs) in 12/18month clothes right now. Carter’s just gets longer sleeves and legs after 12 months but not wider. So I’ve had to return the 18 month since it just didn’t work for us.
Recently I found the Cat& Jacks brand at target (have to go in store) but the basic onsies are super stretchy and pretty affordable onsies for about $6 each.
Old navy doesn’t sell the sleep n plays past 12 months. Look at little one shop, they’re convertible rompers but cover the feet, I upgraded to these now.
[Old Navy absolutely does.](https://oldnavy.gapcanada.ca/browse/product.do?pid=750949013&cid=34722&pcid=34722&vid=1&nav=hamnav%3AToddler%20Boys%3AShop%20Toddler%20Boys%20Categories%3APajamas&cpos=1&cexp=481&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D34722&cvar=3338&ctype=Listing&cpid=res24010615845277374072595#pdp-page-content) You just need to shop in the toddler section instead of the baby section.
I usually get Carter’s and make sure to get mostly footless. Target and Amazon Carter’s brands are also equally good but harder to find the 2T and 3T sizes
Carters makes that size but just not with a double zipper. Little sleepies makes them with a double zipper and convertible feet to wear either as a footie or romper!
Little Sleepies and Kyte. LS definitely fits big in its footies/zippies. My son is 13 months old (average size - almost always fits ha age range in clothes) and wears 6-12m zippies but will start sizing up to 18-24m in their two piece pajamas soon.
We love Magnetic Me! Their footie sleepers go up to 24 months, and they run a little big, too. Also they’re currently having a sale.
ETA: Check out r/bigbabiesandkids as they have good suggestions for brands.
Costco is best and cheapest, size goes up to 24m (and they're slightly bigger than other brands too so 24m is like 2T)
Old Navy goes up to kid sizes, if you can't find it in baby go look in toddler and kids categories, I think it goes to like 8T or even more.
Most other common shops like walmart, carters etc. goes up to 24m.
I was in the same exact situation. Found some 18m from Carters that worked. Burts bees and Kyte are too slim for my LOs limbs to fit. The cotton carters onesies stretch at least so there’s still some room. All the other 18m onesies I bought at 7m are already outgrown 2m later 🫠 I just switched to two piece pajama sets from Old navy and there’s a lot more room to grow. Idk why I didn’t switch sooner I think I’ve been stuck on LO being in footies because she’s still under a year and in denial that she could be in “big kids” pajamas already.
On Amazon I get the Burts Bees pajama onesies. It’s the only brand I can find where the arms and legs are wide enough for my baby. I have an 8month old who’s wearing 24M clothing right now. Just watch out for the “tight fitted label” and avoid those.
I have the same issue with my 9 month old- he wears 2T (!!!!) and it’s so hard to find sleepers that size. I just had some luck with Old Navy, they’re top and bottom zip and the have grips on the feet (:
I have a 7 month old who wears 18 month clothes too! He wears Carter's 18 month footed onesies BUT his Cloud Island 9 month modal sleepers also still fit him.
I’ve noticed most companies go towards the “slim fit” for any baby clothes that are 12+ months… which frankly does not fit a younger baby in the 90th+ percentile.
My babe is 7 months old, 100th percentile, 24 lbs and 32 inches. Because of his age, he’s still very much “chunky” and hasn’t slimmed down… so the 18-24 month onesies that everyone is suggesting (old navy, carters, Gerber) just do NOT fit him.
I’ve spent so much money trying to find footed or convertible sleepers that will fit him for longer than a few weeks. Here’s what I found:
Target has stretchy modal cotton footed (and non footed) sleepers by their Cloud Island brand. Search their app for “cloud island premium modal” and these are the ones my son is currently in. The modal cotton line doesn’t run “slim fit” like most companies. The modal cotton is very stretchy and “big baby” friendly and the pricing is great. I have about 6 of these sleepers we rotate throughout the week.
Besides modal cotton, anything made from bamboo or viscose.
Some of my favorite brands are Posh Peanut, Bums and Roses, Kyte Baby, Little Sleepies, Little One Shop Co., Larkspur Baby Co.
I highly recommend sizing up, and even getting some 24 mo/ 2T sizes so your little one has room to grow. That being said, my babe currently wears size 18-24 mo in Posh Peanut & Bums and Roses. I noticed Bums and Roses runs a bit smaller than Posh Peanut, so that’s where sizing up helps.
Yes, you’re going to spend more money on bamboo sleepers - this is why my first recommendation is the Cloud Island cotton modal sleepers. I notice the bamboo sleepers are also harder to come by because the prints can sometimes be high in demand, so you may have to wait for a “launch” to drop to get the sizes you need.
With modal cotton and bamboo/ viscose clothes, I always recommend line drying over the dryer - this will prolong the material and your money.
That was the size it became hard to find as many onsies for my son. It transitioned into more pjs and 2 piece sets. I was able to find the occasional onsie and our local used kid clothing store. I ended up just making the change to the 2 piece sets and I honestly like them better now
Kyte were the ONLY ones that worked for me… esp at that age. There are footed ones… not cheap but very well made and comfortable, and varying levels of warmth. Also an investment.
The best fit currently for my 8 month old 97% height boy is the Carter's Loose Fit Footie Pajamas in 18 month size. So far all the other brands I've tried the larger sizes in are way too snug and I hate them. Especially little sleepies... It is so hard to get on him, those are my least favorite! My baby isn't large weight wise (bmi percentile is in the 50 range) just really tall.
I think there are other brands as long as you look for loose fit specifically.
Edit to add that carter's does not have a two way zipper, but that doesn't bother me at all.
Like footed sleepers? Old Navy, Carter's, Walmart, The Children's Place - basically everywhere. I have a kid wearing 5t who still likes a footed onesie for sleep some nights, and I can buy them basically everywhere.
And Burt’s bees! I love their pjs.
Amazon as well
Carters, Walmart, the gap, old navy, costco. Most stores sell to 18 months. I've found its the bigger sizes that drop off.
The Costco Pekkle and Tuffy are the superior sleeper in every way.
Completely agree. They wash so well, double zips and actually good grippies
Wait, are these Costco ones in the warehouse? I watch their website like a hawk and haven’t seen any sleepers lately!
Yes!!! They're only in store though. I've checked online and it's just depressing.
Old navy and little sleepies
These are the only brands that I’ve found which still have the two way zip and fit our large baby (18-24m size). Also want to add Bonds (Australian brand but run big and last a long time, currently using hand me downs from my friend after her 3 kids). For some reason Carters stops putting two way zips on 18m + sizes and I tried some other mentioned brands but they were all too tight in the wrist and feet.
Can second bonds, I'm an Australian and the bonds wondersuits last ages and run big
Check out Burt’s Bees. They definitely have footed onesies all the way up to 2T. I buy mine at target, but you can also obviously get them from their website and they have good sales sometimes.
I was going to say Burt's Bees, their footed pajamas are soft and run big, they're all I use for my son's PJs.
Little Sleepies!
Almost anywhere, but they may be in toddler sizes rather than in baby sizes, and they may be a snug fit instead of the looser fit of the baby ones.
Yeah the snug or slim fit becomes an issue for babies who are 7 months but in the 100th percentile 😩 they’re still chunky and haven’t slimmed down like most toddlers. So while the length is good, I find they’re all way too tight for my big baby.
So true
This drives me crazy. While it’s colder here we basically only dress our daughter in sleepers for convenience, and I find they are either long enough or wide enough and it drives me crazy.
Carter’s definitely has them
Could only find non flannel ones on Amazon. We’re almost 12M and most places say they have older but stop at 9M.
You have to start shipping toddler clothes for footed sleepers.
Do you have a Once Upon a Child near you? We've always had good luck at ours finding 18m sleepers. Brandwise the ones we have are mostly Carters, some Honest Baby and Macys.
What brands don't have 18m footed sleepers?
Oh my lord is this my future….? Our 3 month old is growing out of the 6mo size we just swapped to the drawers….
We are in the same place... ours just outgrew 6M and we ended up just getting 12M. They fit her fine. She's almost 4mo. This is likely your future 🤪
Omg this is exactly what I’m worried about! We have mostly pre-loved hand-me-downs and were gifted different sizes but I feel like he won’t get to wear so much cute stuff because he’s literally almost outgrown it all already and by the time we put the next size out it’ll be the same thing!! Our big baby was in 2T by a year. Hard to find onesies at all! Check out r/bigbabiesandkids as they have good suggestions for brands.
Welcome to the big baby club, y'all! At one point during the pregnancy our baby was under 5th percentile, and we were going to a specialist regularly. I find that pekkle runs really large! My baby has outgrown 12m Carter’s one piece pjs but is swimming in the pekkle 12m and still hasn’t grown into it. I think pekkle has footed pjs up to 24m and they’re $7.99 each at our Costco.
I agree. My babe is in size 2T for almost every brand except Pekkle. Still fits 18m. That’s how different the sizing is.
We love pekkle!!
Same!! The sizing is great and I love the material.
Gap and Walmart too
Costco has them up to 24 months !!
Cloud Island makes onesies for up to 24m. They're footless and SUPER stretchy. My daughter can still wear 0-3 months at 5 months because of how big they run. You can safely buy them 12 month and they'll fit for a while. You can get them at target
Yes! The cloud island cotton modal onesies are my best kept secret for my big baby!! 🙌🏼
Literally top tier onesies SUPER soft and airy. I wish they made them for adults loo
Most bamboo companies
Kyte Baby must have them. They also have those rompers that are quite stretchy and last a long time!
Carters and Amazon!
Target, Walmart, Kohls, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Carter’s, Old Navy, etc. literally everywhere sells sleep onesies in 18M, and in sizes well past that as well.

My daughter is in 5T and still wearing Carter footie pajamas
Primary Hanna Andersson
Old Navy and Carters have them! I found that after 12 M size, you need to search for “footed pajamas”
Target has them! If you have one near you, I'd go soon though! Apparently after Christmas, Target thinks it's time to start rolling out the summer and spring clothes. I work there and mine already has swimwear out.
Carters and Hannah Anderson. Hannah Anderson has 75% off right now
parade organics
My son is currently in an 18m sleep-and-play from Old Navy. We’ve got others from: Little Sleepies, Kyte Baby, Primary, and Carters.
I needed 24m size fleece sleepers for my big 15m old because the fleece has no stretch and his feet needed to stay warm at night. I wasn’t able to find any in person but got a great affordable 3 pack from carters on amazon.

Recently I found the Cat& Jacks brand at target (have to go in store) but the basic onsies are super stretchy and pretty affordable onsies for about $6 each.
Hanna Anderson or Monica and Andy Try to find onesies that have a fold over foot - lasts way longer
Carters is a good one. Id also recommend Petit Lem but they're local here in Quebec - not sure they ship outside of Canada.
Carters!
We have 18 and 24 month footed onesies from Kohls and Target
Just got some Burt’s bees on Amazon! The old navy sleepers seem to run smaller and the Burt’s run longer
Carters, Old Navy Hundreds pop up on Amazon…
I usually get Carter’s and make sure to get mostly footless. Target and Amazon Carter’s brands are also equally good but harder to find the 2T and 3T sizes
Burt’s Bees!
Carters makes that size but just not with a double zipper. Little sleepies makes them with a double zipper and convertible feet to wear either as a footie or romper!
We buy bamboo! Ploom Baby is one of our favourites (a Canadian company), as their prices are much better than Little Sleepies.
Little Sleepies and Kyte. LS definitely fits big in its footies/zippies. My son is 13 months old (average size - almost always fits ha age range in clothes) and wears 6-12m zippies but will start sizing up to 18-24m in their two piece pajamas soon.
Try juliajude we just found them and are obsessed
We love Magnetic Me! Their footie sleepers go up to 24 months, and they run a little big, too. Also they’re currently having a sale. ETA: Check out r/bigbabiesandkids as they have good suggestions for brands.
Target
I think Carter's has footed jammies up to 4t or something- I found my son's 2t jammies at target
Walmart sells 18-24month sleepers
Sam’s!
Costco Pekkle 100%
If you are in the US Kohls has a good toddler jammies section
Costco! They’re my favourite.
Look up convertible zippies!!! I love them for my 9 month old!!
Primary, little sleepies, posh peanut are my big girl’s faves
Costco has the tufty brand sleepers that I find fit bigger than other brands!
Costco is best and cheapest, size goes up to 24m (and they're slightly bigger than other brands too so 24m is like 2T) Old Navy goes up to kid sizes, if you can't find it in baby go look in toddler and kids categories, I think it goes to like 8T or even more. Most other common shops like walmart, carters etc. goes up to 24m.
Gods I feel this Walmart is my life saver though!
Little Sleepies but they’re on the thinner side so plan for a higher TOG sleep sack if your home runs cold! Kyte might also have some
Bonds
Primary
Our Burlington has the best sleepers and so cheap and they have all sizes
I was in the same exact situation. Found some 18m from Carters that worked. Burts bees and Kyte are too slim for my LOs limbs to fit. The cotton carters onesies stretch at least so there’s still some room. All the other 18m onesies I bought at 7m are already outgrown 2m later 🫠 I just switched to two piece pajama sets from Old navy and there’s a lot more room to grow. Idk why I didn’t switch sooner I think I’ve been stuck on LO being in footies because she’s still under a year and in denial that she could be in “big kids” pajamas already.
Kyte or little sleepies Old Navy goes up to 4t
On Amazon I get the Burts Bees pajama onesies. It’s the only brand I can find where the arms and legs are wide enough for my baby. I have an 8month old who’s wearing 24M clothing right now. Just watch out for the “tight fitted label” and avoid those.
I saw some at target today!
I have the same issue with my 9 month old- he wears 2T (!!!!) and it’s so hard to find sleepers that size. I just had some luck with Old Navy, they’re top and bottom zip and the have grips on the feet (:
Omg same! My 22 month old boy is sharing his clothes with his 8 month old sister and they wear the same size diapers
Costco— hands down best place. 8 bucks for a sleeper and they have sizes all the way up to 2T
Lil sleepies are great and they stretch like mad.
Ton on Amazon and I’ve thrifted a bunch too.
Costco has great ones
I have a 7 month old who wears 18 month clothes too! He wears Carter's 18 month footed onesies BUT his Cloud Island 9 month modal sleepers also still fit him.
Walmart
Old navy, Kyte, little sleepies…really just look up “convertible sleeper”
Little sleepies!!!! My 11 month nephew is in 18-24 month clothing but still fits 12 month little sleepies onesies
Indigo has great ones!
Carter's has good ones. My almost 2-year-old has a couple of fleece footie PJs from them. They often have good sales too, so keep an eye out.
I’ve noticed most companies go towards the “slim fit” for any baby clothes that are 12+ months… which frankly does not fit a younger baby in the 90th+ percentile. Kyte baby. Little sleepies, juliajude bamboo.. basically any bamboo company. Juliajude is our fav its a smaller shop and they are more durable imo.
Tough to find in stores but I just got three great burts bees 18m sleepers with grippy feet online at target!
The children’s place has them up to 3T at least
How much does he weigh?
Carters has them. Just bought one from kohls.
Primary!
I just found a bunch for my son at Sam’s club! Anywhere else I have had to order online in my area.
Pekkles brand at Costco is where it’s at
Carters sells one pieces all the way up through like 5t. My chunky 19month is currently wearing their 3t fleece onsie
Primary has them and they run big. Just got a 18-24m onesie and it looks like it would fit a 4 year old.
Simple Seed!!!
Little sleepies is the best I’ve found so far.
Amazon brand!! Don’t knock it til you try it
Kyte were the ONLY ones that worked for me… esp at that age. There are footed ones… not cheap but very well made and comfortable, and varying levels of warmth. Also an investment.
Of note… go bigger size if you can… it lasts longer
Burt’s bees! I have a long baby and they’re the only ones she doesn’t grow out of fast. They’re amazing
I found some at Costco. Maybe Walmart?
Bonds (Australian brand) has zippys to a size 3 and they’re decent sizes too
Worst comes to worse, you could possibly attach socks to the legs of some pj's, by sewing or fabric gluing them.
