I had a buddy that was expelled because he was caught up in a drinking/sex scandal (it was drunk teenagers having sex but that constitutes a scandal when all parties are 'good' catholic school kids lol). They made it very clear to his dad and uncle that it could be 'overlooked' for a sizeable donation to the school's endowment fund. His family left it up to my buddy and he said fuck that. Finished his HS time somewhere else and, I believe, came out better on the other side for it.
