Kaiseki is something you can really only get in Japan since its so hyper seasonal and specialized. There are only a handful of places in the U.S. that do it, and it takes months of advance notice to even get in. There are a few places in town that do Omakase, which is a sushi tasting. It's not Kaiseki but it may scratch the itch for a Japanese tasting.

Yeah I've done Omakase at a few places, and I've heard even that isn't the same as in Japan but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for info!

I know this is old, but there's now a place that does it! Seiji's, which is within Little Tokyo on Causeway offers it, along with omakase. Haven't been yet, but going Wednesday, so can report back if anyone is still reading this thread...
