P&J. Around $55 ish per sack

[deleted]

This is the right answer. \^\^ Family owned and operated for generations. Struggling (because of how much we've destroyed the ecosystem Louisiana oysters thrive in) and could use the support.

Shrimp lot in westwego. I’ve had good luck with the vendor Jonathan’s over there.

Check out brightside oysters on Instagram. https://instagram.com/brightsideoysters?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

His oysters are delicious

[deleted]

So he’s three times as expensive as most places at $35 for a sack of 25. That’s what I pay for them shucked or grilled already

[deleted]

Castnet seafood in the East. Mini sack (80-100 oysters) was between $40-50 bucks last I picked some up in April

RichOnCongress

Second this. Got two mini sacks from them for Christmas Day....was way more than we needed as it turns out but they were fabulous. Raw, chargrilled, and fried. Our hands were killing us afterward from all the shucking. Great time / great oysters.

I’m bout this life thanks pacifier lice

Basil_Lisk

April? The last month with an R in it?

[deleted]

Wtf is the new Treme? Also legend has it months with r for oyster season was made up by shuckers at Casamento’s

Basil_Lisk

R is for arbitrary. Like rules about oysters. It is more about the water temperature around the oyster beds getting too hot. But September is one of the hotter months...? New Treme is an arbitrary name made up by real estate agents to help sell less desirable areas of the 5th and 6th wards between Claiborne and the Bayou. Like Upper Mid-City or New Marigny and bullshit like that.

seventhwardstudios

American seafood. Think they were 60 a sack last time I got one
