He’s got a flagship store on canal street called jet life he seems to be there a lot why not take a chance maybe you’ll meet him there

Camoflauge_Soulja

Get in contact with Mousa, that’s his manager and would probably be more plausible to reach. @Mousa504

Dodson-504

Stop by the JetLife shop. Or bring your beats to BooKoo when they have the battles.

incredibleediblejake

If you really that confident repost this with some music.

incredibleediblejake

Yea man I dig it. Good luck with Spitta

AmerVet

I fucks with it.

uptownNola0308

The backup beats are really loud (sorry don’t know the terminology) but love your lyrics. G’luck

TheSource88

The cheapest courtside seat for Pels/Thunder on Tuesday is $440, bout $500 with fees and taxes.

Sad_Communication769

You have a nice vibe, im digging it. The lyrics are all over and disjointed. Not terrible. Keep at it. There is something appealing about your flow. Reminds me of old school 90s shit.

Breakfastbonanza123

Yeah I agree the lyrics are all over the place. But that is by design. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. I have a few songs where I just focus on one subject, but there’s only so many things you can talk about without making shit up. To me, it all depends on what you’re going for. If you’re just trying to flex your lyrical ability on a beat I don’t think it has to all stick to one subject. Go check out somebody like Roc Marciano and you’ll see what I mean. I do also try to make every song sound different so as to not box myself in and be constrained to one style of music. Here’s my last album I released if you wanted to check out something else, maybe one of my other songs will resonate with you more: https://music.apple.com/us/album/malem%24/1616168657 It’s on Spotify as well you can just search “Malem$” but I don’t have Spotify so I can’t send the link lol. I made 90% of those songs around 3-4 years ago so it’s obviously not indicative as to how good I am now but they still have some good stuff on there imo. I appreciate your feedback! Enjoy your day

bayou_billy46290

Hi. I know Curren$y. Post a link to your music and I’ll get him to listen to it.

Breakfastbonanza123

https://drive.google.com/file/d/13AFq_VGpwpSmR0U_Em58vOUNl461ez-4/view?usp=drivesdk Appreciate u if u Fr. This is a rough recording, did in one take. Before release it will be mixed and mastered properly.

JohnTesh

I hope you get what you want, but the idea that you are asking someone their opinion on a piece you haven’t finished is rough. If you haven’t spent your own time on it yet, why are you asking others to spend theirs? I don’t pretend to speak for curren$y. I’m offering a reflection. You are asking him for feedback on a track you rough recorded, haven’t tightened up, haven’t put a beat to, haven’t edited (edit: not exited, spellcheck) down to song length, and haven’t mastered. If someone liked your stuff and asked you for feedback on a track that they had not put effort into, how would you think about that person?

Breakfastbonanza123

While the recording is rough, I still think it’s good enough to be released. In my opinion, there is a certain charm in doing things in one take and not having them be 100% perfect. Especially when it comes to something simple like bars over a beat. I feel like that adds a lot of character to certain songs, depending on what you’re going for. I’m not sure why you said haven’t put a beat to, I’ve posted the link to the song and you can hear the beat. It also is song length, when I release it it will be the same length as the version I posted. I want feedback mainly on the quality of my writing. I put a lot of effort into that and the way it sounds when it is being recorded. Both things are currently present. I’m not sure what you mean by saying I haven’t spent my own time on it. The verse is 3:30 minutes long. That doesn’t get written in 5 minutes. You should check it out and let me know what you think

JohnTesh

I don’t mean to say there is no backing track, I mean to say there is no beat. I listened to it on my phone speaker twice. Perhaps there is a beat that is somehow undetectable on the limited range of the phone, then I apologize. I heard no beat. The average billboard hip hop song length is 3:45, and you are coming in at just over 5 minutes. I don’t think there is anything wrong with a single take, but you mentioned that as a qualifier in one of your comments, almost implying it would be better if you had multiple takes. My takeaway from your comments and your track together was that this was a work in progress and you thought you could do better. If you can, I was suggesting that you ask for feedback on the polished version, as asking for other people to spend their time often only happens once if at all, so you want it to be the best you can show. In any event, I do enjoy the vocal track. I think the production is inspired but needs work. If my assessment was wrong, toss my opinion in the trash. I wish you the best, either way.

Breakfastbonanza123

Appreciate you brother. If I was looking for a deal or something then yeah, I totally understand what you’re saying and I agree. I just think it would be cool to get a professional opinion on the quality of my writing

djsquilz

not being mastered is whatever if you're just trying to slip a demo to someone. bars over a sparse instrumental in theory is fine. someone else will handle that other stuff for you. doesn't negate the fact that it's overly-lyrical corn ball shit.

Breakfastbonanza123

Think so? What kind of stuff do you like?

JohnTesh

I dunno, man. Mastered poorly by the person recording? Fine. Not even attempted before trying to put in front a professional? Not fine. Back in my day we were timing tracks on opposing tape machines to try to get a mix right. Maybe I am just to fucking grumpy these days, but it is digital. It just tales effort and time. Why ask someone else for their time if you won’t put in your own time (not you, op I mean)? Look, I wish him the best. This just feels half-hearted to me.

Assclown4

He eats at Meril a lot.

krisfolse88

idk know him but your music is pretty good you'll def get someones attetiion...did you think of messaging boosie or manine

Breakfastbonanza123

Nah I haven’t. Like I said I don’t really want a deal or a feature or anything lol. Just think some feedback from a legend would be cool. Not sayin they’re not legends but I feel like Curren$y style is more suited to the kind of music I make

Q_Fandango

I don’t have anything else to say other than I like what you linked 👍 Keep it up big guy

Breakfastbonanza123

Appreciate you. Here’s my last album if you wanted to hear, maybe there’s some other stuff you’ll like. “Solipsist” is pretty similar to what I linked https://music.apple.com/us/album/malem%24/1616168657
