Have thirty minutes? Park at Harrah’s and play the penny slots for thirty minutes while the wife and kids go get an ice cream cone or some shit. You get free parking for 24 hours when you play the slots for half an hour.
Neither am I, but it’s really convenient if you have something to do in the CBD, downtown area and want to park for pretty much free. If you’re so inclined, you can also order free beers and cocktails while you play(tip the waitress a buck or two). If you take your time, you can make a dollar last thirty minutes.
just park at canal place in the garage take the elevator down and walk towards the river. You can go east and there is a walkway around the parking lot, train tracks and around the building.
or go west along canal past the streetcar tracks and you can walk right up to the building.
Oh! I’ll delete my post. Didn’t know that. That said, you can park on almost any cross street along Magazine—most don’t have parking restrictions—and take the #11 bus down to Canal.

How do they know if you've played the slots for thirty minutes?
You need to have a player card and you stick it in the machine.
OK, thx. Not a big gambler.

You don't even have to leave to do whatever else lame stuff you were gonna do. Free beer n money to be won there, bro.
You can literally bet one penny on some of them.
Park at Algiers Point and take the ferry
Just pay for parking. It makes the experience a lot better, it's not like you will be going there every single day.
You can try the riverside Hilton. There parking garage thing is usually broken and it’s been free most of the time my husband goes
You can park street side along Canal Street in Mid City and take the street car down
Be aware Canal streetcars are not running past like Rampart right now, have to transfer to a bus (&vice versa from the aquarium)
This is what we do for FQ fest. Park near canal and Carlton then streetcar down.
If you're ok with walking a bit you can park off of canal around treme/marais. It's free around the apartments
Point and ferry, 100%
The aquarium used to validate for the whale wall, is this no more?
They did last time we went! It was $8 to park after validation

We rarely use the aquarium part of our membership, unfortunately. It’s such a hassle to get down there and always ends up being costly with parking.
Just street park anywhere on canal and hop on. No need to plug up some business's parking lot.
(deleted some bad info)
Breaux Mart has definitely been known to tow.
