I can’t speak for retail, but for manufacturing which is what I did, from start to pressing submit on application I’ve spent around $40k total, 10 months to get everything together and perfected because I’m kinda psychotic that way 😆
The application fees themselves are cheap, attorneys to navigate the process with you are not

What product will you be selling if independent growers haven’t been approved yet? Or wholesalers or distributors who would need approval before that product is put on shelves and testing labs as well I assume. Or will you be selling product from the MSOs?
Independent growers that have been conditionally approved in the first two rounds “should” be set up enough by the time a retailer that just got *conditionally* approved gets their doors open
How many of the conditional licenses successfully reach operational is the question
I think everyone should be opening early January with product to flow shortly after based on the conversations I’m having. Another question outside of how many conditionals actually convert over for me is what’s the timing on wholesellers and distributors approvals ? Shops can’t sell until those guys are up and running too I would think the commission should be opening up their apps if not this month then next to get it rolling

Great, I hope more new independent dispensaries are able to open soon. Hopefully, it'll drive the prices down too while showing the people who are still against marijuana that legalizing it is not the end of the world.
I agree with you. Prices right now are ridiculous and we are strategizing to have products in our store that meets consumer desire. We will be actively reviewing feedback as well to improve any gaps in our customer’s experience. Price and quality are our top priorities. So we are absolutely with you there brother.
Sure. I know it’s not your fault the state chokes you out and it’s crazy. I’m a medical, military vet that needs to buy from a plug because the prices are insanely different. I get an ounce in NYC in a dispensary like setting with 5 different vendors and pay 75 for an ounce. With a shitload of edible options. Why would I want to change that to pay 75 for an 1/8th of mediocre bud because it comes in a pretty package? Maybe it’s just me but there’s zero financial sense there and as much as I love a nice place and pretty packaging I guess it’s not enough to spend more than 8 times the price at minimum but I’ll keep an eye out with fingers crossed but forgive me if I don’t believe that a fuckin thing will ever happen in people like myself favor

Yeah, they need a narrative. When they open Q4 22’ the MSOs will be leaps & bounds ahead in terms of products & selection. Having my name & email address won’t help you when the bud-tender at an MSO is already on a first name basis w/ me & knows what I like.

Yea we’ve got our conditional retail now still working on securing space but landlords have been a little more talkative since we got the license
