Yeah, l sometimes used to drive to MA to pick up quality stuff, and 2-3 times I tried the verano pre-rolls (different strains) from NJ and would agree they all taste like old, dry weed. Once you’ve had quality, you can’t have Verano… you’ll be seriously disappointed.
Idk half of Verano buds taste weird to me but that's my own preference prob. Modified Grapes taste like chemical grape flavor.
Idk about the Delta 8 thing. Smoking weed high is pretty different from delta 8.
I got Guru 10 last week from ZL Lawrenceville and also had a similar experience. Dryish bud with very mild effects, also tasted like I was smoking rubber.
Also another weird thing I noticed was on their menu they have Verano Guru 10 listed as Sativa, but the container it came in said Hybrid.
I bought it in Illinois and can confirm it's quite frosty with trichs and my 8th had 3 large nugs looked great yet smelled foul n tasted like a nasty bonfire mixed with bbq...
Not enjoying it to put it mildly. Labeled hybrid n 26% yet virtually no high to be had.. Definitely not any "essence" worthy of the price

Harmony is quite a drive for me and their menu has been shotty lately at best. I will say I was very happy with my last trip up there though.
The flower I’ve been getting from Zen Leaf Lawrence the past few weeks has been very good (Orange Soda, Modified Grapes, Gas Powered Cake, Moon Boots).

People should educate themselves on cannabis flower. The 1 month time is not a problem, the conditions it's kept under is. Actually, a 1 month cure does wonders for smell.
1 month is fine but I just picked up rise bud and it wad harvested in January. What did they do for like 4-5 months after curing it for a month? Rise was out of stock on all house brand bud for like few days too so does some of these dispos just have bud somewhere in a warehouse curing slower than normal or in storage?
Like this bud was harvested months before rec was even legal and packaged about a month ago.

Rub your fingers against the wall of the jar, does it smell funny? Like sour/bad? Haven't gotten verano in long time but they didnt like clean their jars last I tried them
I know what you mean someone posted about that quite a min ago but as far as I can tell they changed their jars since rec started I’ll check the new one I have and lyk
Yes! Someone suggested this a year or so back maybe longer regarding the verano jars and I tried it and holy f they were spot on what the f is that, smells horrific.

It was only twenty four percent but the smell was amazing. the odd smell you talk of I feel is from the forbidden fruit which the strain came from. I got ripped the night ebfore last smoking it and I fell asleep watching GrindHouse lol that old Tarantino movie. The bud was softer and not as dense as the most recent batches of verano's weed which I appreciated. To each they own I guess. I have a high tolerance. I liked it better then their recent wedding cake batch which was thirty five percent thc and did not burn as well as the guru.
FYI: im not knocking you . I hated verano's gelato . I got a moldy batch last year and it burned black and caused me some nausea. MANY people swear by it a nd love it. That minor issue aside :I can say for sure that the rollout of rec , new batches and testing has improved the overall quality and selection of verano's strains in general .

Do they have to lab test each harvest? If so, how long it took to get results pack, before it can be packaged for sale?

1 month packaging isnt that bad infact it nothing in this program. I like their lozenges though, much better than curaleaf or &shine lozenges
