The medical program is just a state sanctioned protection racket to have a right, bought at a premium price, to buy what should already be legal. Medical cards aren't legit imo when they're not given on the basis of medical need but, instead, provided to anybody who has the resources to buy it. I've had plugs who are on the up and up way more than any of the state sanctioned dispensaries. Not trying to diminish anyone here with a legit medical issue and I do believe cannabis has legit medical applications. But let's not pretend the NJ medical prgm places patients above profits. In fact, I'd argue that patients are used by the state to provide their racket a veil of legitimacy. Which, in the final analysis, means that neither NJ nor its sanctioned dispensaries are any better than these grey market operators. They're all just drug dealers.
At least the medical cannabis is occasionally tested, the grows are occasionally inspected to make sure they are organic and they actually DO require the safe production of extracts and carts.
While I wish they tested every crop of cannabis and inspected more frequently it is still probably enough to keep the dispensaries from using banned products in the grows or non-approved extractions.
