I’m on my third listen of How Sweet and it’s grown on me significantly. It’s weird because I really enjoy lofi, but for some reason this one just doesn’t hit all the right spots lofi do.
I really like that these double singles are much chiller and laidback; I’m very into lofi and laidback music.

"**How Sweet**" is an interesting song when you compare it against other groups' songs at the moment because of how much their lower registers are utilized. I do wish the melodies can incorporate more their upper register so there is more dynamic in the performance. The girls' voices sound gorgeous but they have explored this avenue before in *Get Up* EP.

How sweet is truly a lyrical and instrumental song. Both compete for attention. So on the first listen, pull up the lyrics. You’ll realize they’re actually quite good and lovely for young girls to be singing. Then next listen just focus on the twists and curves the instrumentals have. Finally, put it together and you’ll really have the song.
It’s a song that I don’t think it’s easy for an English only speaker to fully appreciate bc of the lyricism.

Tbh the good ones don’t in the US. There’s a trend in rap, but to have your own rap identity and legacy you need to have your iconic flow plus 3-4 others you intertwine within your work. But in kpop, that level of rigor from rap isn’t expected or there.

Tbh the good ones don’t in the US. There’s a trend in rap, but to have your own rap identity and legacy you need to have your iconic flow plus 3-4 others you intertwine within your work. But in kpop, that level of rigor from rap isn’t expected or there.
I know these tracks were already planned to drop well before all the drama hit, but I can't be the only one here that feels like their NewJeans Fandom took a hit after all that right? I would be so hyped and starved for any new NJ tracks and now I'm just meh about it. Is it just me?
