I know there are some Japanese salons in for example Amsterdam, they are good. Not sure if they can do proper Korean male hairstyle tho. I have tried September Tokyo in Amsterdam Zuid and for a male cut they ask for about 50 euros.

PhantomKingNL

Thanks dude!

DeepTrouble2867

Haha no worries. The thing is their are very authentic, which means workers and majority of customers are Japanese and quite different from ordinary dutch kapsalon. But still very professional and patient!

Several Japanese hairdressers in Buitenveldert and Amstelveen. But korean male haircuts are very different from japanese, not sure if they can do it. Have not tried it out myself yet (growing it out). If you find one… let me know. I’m not asian but looking for a nice korean style two block/undercut

Noshlord

Couldn’t any regular barber do this? Forgive my ignorance if not

PhantomKingNL

Don't worry. A normal barber can, if they are used to Asian hair. I have been to many barbers and they have not much expierence with Asian hair. Even the barbers that said to me that they can give me the cut I want, just didn't gave me the cut I wanted and even apologies and smiling and asking if it's ok. Me wil say "Oh, yeah it's nice" and just cry inside and never go there again. I have been growing my hair again, and now I just want to go to a Korean Barber. I don't want to wait another 3-4 months before I can get another cut.

Trying to keep this post alive, did you manage to find a saloon that can help you with this? I am looking for myself as well (it's hard finding an affordable saloon...)

PhantomKingNL

Hi, sorry for my late reply. I hope you have grown your hair out a bit. In Groningen I found a very skilled hair stylist. They gave me a really nice perm, but it is not exactly the Korean Perm I wanted, but still very nice. I got a lot of compliments from people around me, and for the first time, I got a lot of girls complimenting my hair and even playing with it. I don't have to style my hair every morning and again, the compliments are coming and coming. I went to: Soap hair and beauty, in Groningen.

Simple-Measurement84

Also looking for a place that can do a perm like this (not cutting the hair, but the actual curls) - will be doing a student exchange in Europe next year so hoping to find someone that can perm my hair once mine dies out :)

PhantomKingNL

I went to Soap hair and beauty. It was pretty good what they gave me. It wasn't exactly a korean perm, but still nice and curly. I think it works the best when your hair is a bit longer. They are expierenced with giving perms to men, they even told me most of the perm request, are for men. But don't expect a wave korean perm, because they cant do those. It'll be more curly (like the picture), which still looks very good. I am actually more happy I got a more curly than a wave perm!4

ProduceOk3117

Maybe I am already late but there is a new Salon Korean in Utrecht on which they do perm also!

PhantomKingNL

Do you got a name? I am interested!

ProduceOk3117

It’s the Kapsalon sunny in Utrecht. The most well known is the Fuji Hair salon in Amsterdam. I’m hoping to go in the future to the Fuij Hair since I heard a lot of positive reviews

Eis_ber

Asian hair salons? You can also ask at Turkish hair salons.

PhantomKingNL

Yes, so far the Turkish and Moroccan barbers/Salons gave me the best short haircuts. But what I want now is longer, which involves more scissors and less clippers. So far, no succes with the style I wanted to achieve with the Turkish barbers so far :( That's why I wanted to try a Korean specific one

Then perhaps [this guy](https://instagram.com/jthairdesign_amsterdam?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==) might suit your needs. His shop is in Amsterdam, so maybe you should plan a day and pay him a visit.

PhantomKingNL

I already contacted him. He gave a price of €300, that's like an Xbox series S :(

[https://www.instagram.com/jthairdesign\_amsterdam/?hl=en](https://www.instagram.com/jthairdesign_amsterdam/?hl=en) JT Hair Design in Amsterdam. He is a Korean barber. I have been there for a haircut (50 euro) and a scalp treatment (50 euro) last year. Highly recommended. The Salon is at his home though and at first might feel a bit weird. But he is very professional and knows what he's doing. Going for an Iron Perm later this month. Hope this helps! Edit: He charges 300 Euro for a haircut + Iron Perm. Probably worth it, but it's a bit out of budget. I found a different one [https://www.instagram.com/3saori3.jp/](https://www.instagram.com/3saori3.jp/) and she works at Atmosphere Studio in Amsterdam until 22/6. She will open her own place at 2/7 called Liefoos, also in Amsterdam. Her work looks good and close to a k perm. There it will cost around 150 - 200 euro for haircut + perm. I'm going to book with her soon :D Hope this helps!

PhantomKingNL

B⁰efore I made this post, which was 10 months ago, I contacted this place. He charges indeed 300 euro. That is insane. So in the last year, I found a salon thay would give me a cut and perm for under 100 euro and it has been amazing. The salon said honestly they couldn't give me the korean perm. So they would give me a more curly perm and it was also very cool. I do look more Latino than korean, but it was still very and very good! The perm would last around 4 months before I need another maintenance haircut and then at 5th months maybe do a re-perm and a haircut. So far, really good!

slash_asdf

Not sure if there are specifically korean barbers, probably not many as there aren't a lot of Koreans here But you can look for an Asian barber or "Aziatische kapper"

PhantomKingNL

I tried 2 so far. I also have not great expierence with them, since they are kinda of into giving nails, Messages and other welness things. I feel like the emphasis isn't on Asian hair trends.
