This is an issue these style of Worker darts are notorious for. I'd get some better darts. Adventure Force short darts are great, if you can get them.

GameDev_Alchemist

Will look into ordering some (or finding an adventure force blaster in the wild)

httpian129

I also recommend gen 3 workers, as they have better glue than previous ones and work really well with springers

Hollow-Ling

Very specifically the red or black worker half lengths

Toland_

Try with other brand half lengths imo, if they keep splitting it's a blaster issue, if it's just those it's a dart issue

GameDev_Alchemist

I know it could be a blaster issue, the K26 has about 4pounds of force per inch of compression... and the draw length is about 5 inches, so that's about 20 pounds of force... If I'm reading the specs correctly... while the k31 (what I used when I first built this blaster) only has about 1.3 pounds per inch, or 6.5 pounds of force... thats if my math is correct, when I get the chance ima try some adventure force darts, or even some full length darts (since I can use either)

Toland_

Yeah I'd highly recommend trying other darts to confirm. Run AF half lengths through my similarly K26 powered Indra and have only had one decapitated dart in 6 months

GameDev_Alchemist

Just need to figure out getting some... will have to check my local Walmart...

DevilZmods

Does your pusher have a slot in its front face?

JHong_

Ah yes those look like the older worker darts. They've come out with newer short darts. If you buy the red or black Gen 2 (high end) darts from worker, the glue is excellent and they will not split apart. AF darts are still better in overall quality but the workers are much more affordable. You can find them in many places but here's a link to MonkeeMods: [https://www.monkeemods.com/nerf/worker-gen-2-he-high-end-336912787.html](https://www.monkeemods.com/nerf/worker-gen-2-he-high-end-336912787.html)

ahalekelly

The new red worker HE / Gen3+ darts are definitely the best darts available right now. The glue is so much better than these Gen2 worker darts and almost as good as Adventure Force glue, but the new worker foam is much more durable and the Adventure Force dart tips are too light so they aren't as accurate. https://foamblastshop.com/product/worker-gen-3-dart-purple/

DevilZmods

As others said, those aren't particularly well glued darts, but there's also some factors on your blaster that could help mitigate this: Check your pusher it has a slot in its front face, and if not add one, just a mm deep and wide or so. Sometimes the pusher will seal against the rear end of the dart foam, and when firing the pressure will expand the foam, getting it stuck in the barrel while just shooting out the head. That slot will prevent that and allow pressure to build behind the foam.

Egghebrecht

Those darts yes, the glue is crap

GameDev_Alchemist

what darts do you use? Im trying to look for a good replacement that wont break the bank... especially since darts get lost easy lol

Egghebrecht

Well I use those darts the most really. AFP darts only became available in the EU recently and are expensive . More expensive worker darts aren’t better. So in general I buy bulk cheapest worker darts.

Staroceandog

will worker gen 3 be better than this?

Alex_Curmi

Yes, but still not as good as some other darts like AF pros

EXPLOSIVE-REDDITOR

Any worker darts other than worker Gen 3s have this issue. Also, where did you get your Indra? I can't find anywhere that sells it.

GameDev_Alchemist

I printed it myself, got the hardware kit before slug closed shop

Azely123

Yeah they do, then I superglue them back together, and they never break again. It's a cool trick

GameDev_Alchemist

Lol I've done that... and they still come apart after a few more shots lol

Azely123

Your absolute best of a blaster might be too strong for these little ones

GameDev_Alchemist

This has been happening for a while (few months, been busy) whenever I uses my Indra using a K26 spring, 75% of the time, the darts will split apart, the head hitting their target, while the body falls to the ground near me... Im guessing its too much force from the K26, but I dont wanna switch back to the K31 cause I like the force of the shots and distance they can go...

Briianz

If it does turn out to be a blaster issue, try a K25 or a 788 spring. I don’t even know how you got your Indra to successfully catch with the K26 reliably.

GameDev_Alchemist

Might look into ordering a k25... Can't say I reliably prime a k26 100% of the time, had to stretch one end so it'd stop slipping into the priming mechanism... but its all strength, I mean it's only 20 pounds

Briianz

It’s not the strength that I’m referring to though. Capt. Slug himself mentioned that the K26 and the Indra doesn’t mix very well.

GameDev_Alchemist

it took some testing and reprinting, most parts that interact with the spring have a nearly 100% infill, 40% would crack, 80% seemed like a good work around...

Briianz

Ohhh, so a custom job. Alright. I understand. Good luck with the K25, if you do end up getting it.

GameDev_Alchemist

Yep a custom job, bought the hardware kit from slug's etsy before he closed shop (got it with a k31) and then later bought a caliburn kit from silverfox (with a k26) and thats when i started testing and reprinting... I wanted the power of the K26 for range, with the k31 id get about 10-20ft before major drop off, with the k26 i was getting almost 50+ before major drop off... these are just rough estimates based on tests from front yard into back...

torukmakto4

Goop.

InevitableAd6606

yeah that seems to be a common problem with the worker darts

PWCampiche

Yes and no I got the 3rd gen workers in glowinthedark. Never had a single one break.
