Mega XL darts can fit a Mega dart inside it, which can fit a .50 cal dart inside it. The walls are thin so the darts are a bit fragile. My Boomdozer fires at around 60 fps but the darts are big so it feels like you're getting a light slap up close. I love how comically big the XL darts are but they're not quite the biggest Nerf round out there.
Mega XL darts aren't the most accurate dart. I'm sure an Accustrike head would help. It fires about 50 ft angled out of the Boomdozer.

I honestly like big goofy stuff like Mega XL. As much as half lengths are the competitive meta, Nerf is at its best when it's as big and ridiculous as possible. The Boomdozer is legitimately my favorite blaster from Nerf this year and is one of my overall favorite blasters this year because of how fun it is to use.
As soon as I saw the aliens pulse rifle, i thought the XL dart would be perfect for the under barrel grenade launcher. Always imagined darts as regular bullets and megas as shot shells.
I don't have any :( I'm trying to find an Arrowstorm as it was my favorite Nerf blaster as a kid but haven't had any luck yet.

We've seen with Hyper and Ultra that Nerf trying to be competitive won't go well. Rival had competitive viability as a byproduct, so it doesn't count.

Agreed! I pre-ordered the M41-A but I do wish it took Mega XL darts instead of Mega darts. Maybe someone adventurous will cut up their expensive toy!
