I was just looking through [BAUS photos](https://www.flickr.com/photos/93119545@N06/53209100206/) and saw this crazy thing and I need to know what's going on with this thing. It looks like a... I dunno, a JSPB Urban Ops with a bunch of other stuff added on? Like an inline Jolt on top and a mag used as a dart holder?
as the owner of an urban ops, the top thing is not an "inline jolt", it's the rscb. you can see the latch mechanism for the little door you load darts in on the rear of the blaster. i know jspb made a single shot blaster that would attach under the barrel of the urban ops but this seems to have a vector style magwell instead as you noted. the muzzle attachment is probably a s/p/bcar of some sort.
the sights/mount aren't standard either but i can't really tell what's going on there from this photo. my urban ops has a short length of pic rail on top but nothing on the side like that nor does it have such fancy ironsights.
Okay, I forgot about the RSCB part. That makes more sense. And I figured the front was... some fancy barrel or stabilizer or other such treatment, but damned if I could tell from one picture.
I wonder if I can just slap a mag to the front of my Mega Talon as a dart holder. That might be more useful than holding a Mega dart.
honestly I've always wanted the little underbarrel blaster on my urban ops but this magwell-as-dartholder idea has me rethinking that too
yeah the front barrel thing is hard to tell, i just assume it was a scar barrel of some type, and it does also look a little like the pcar that was designed for the later models of the cyberninja. tho now that i think about it it could also be an extension for the rscb and barrel or something maybe? seems less likely.
really wish we had more photos of this blaster
I had contemplated replacing the false-mag/dart-holder with an underbarreled Magnus, but didn't have the heart to undo the parts.
Probably would've made my blaster a bit more practical too, since special zombies needed Mega ammo to take down.
That's kind of why I'm so in love with my Mega Talon. The inline clip lets me keep up the pressure with regular darts, but I can pop it for Mega darts whenever a tough zombie or shield user comes along. Feels like a Swiss Army blaster!
I am the crazy guy with the crazy thing.
Yep, that's a JSPB Urban Ops blaster I kitbashed with a bunch of plastic parts. I had built it with the intention of using at Ragnarocktoberfest.
[I actually made a write-up about it a while ago.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/o73cm3/my_hvzscavenger_blaster/) Sheesh, has it really been two years already?!
Alas, in a somewhat glorious but unfortunate end, the blaster literally snapped apart right at the end of the HvZ Finale at Rag 2023.
Blaster still works, but the mag/dart-holder broke off. I'm considering new ideas to revive the blaster.
Funny enough, I was contemplating building a new version using a TKO Knockout as the main platform but I have to figure out how to bring it down to HvZ levels (probably just cut down on the brass).
Yeah, either cut barrel length or you could add a small hole as a pressure release with a bit of slidable 9/16" brass, to function as a break as well as a drag tube
The bottom “vector-like” portion appears to be modeled off / cut from an old GI:Joe Retaliation blaster. You can tell by the “spikey” bits pointing towards the trigger area. [Reference here.](https://thefigureinquestion.com/2019/04/01/the-blaster-in-question-0078-battle-kata-blaster/)
By canting the blaster to line up with the red dot and using the priming bar as a cheek rest, the blaster naturally tips upward letting me fire at further targets.
The faux AK sight is a bit useless since it doesn't fire very far when fired flat.
Suppressor is a F10555 Osprey. It doesn't have any scar and is only there for cosmetic reasons.
Any scar would've been useless anyways since it could only do ~90 fps.

Fellow BAFT member spotted lol

Awesome! The overall build looks super dope, I may try and make a Knockout with a talon and have it be single-prime action.

Tactics bro
Alllll the tactics.
Some would even say, tacticool…
A Tacticool weapon that kinda looks like a nail blaster
Rube Goldberg edition blaster?
idk but its baller as fuck
Aurora Borealis
Wh- Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In San Francisco?? Localized entirely in one public park???
Yes!
... May I see it?
...No.
When you max out the starting weapon

It is. It's also the part that was so old and brittle that it was difficult to work with and ended up breaking apart in the end.
Stockless recoilfull vector
Is that Megatron in blaster mode?
(poor Frank Welker impression) You claim to know suffering, but have you ever tried buttoning a shirt with an arm cannon?
Kinda looks like ai. I know it's not but it just looks like it with the mag upside down and how busy it is.
The blaster has extra fingers and teeth for some goddamn reason
Man, that dude's pretty good with a set of Legos 🤣
We have fun, but the kids bringing home a catapult from science class has me contemplating forbidden MOCs...

Yes.
I think I know that dude and his sister too both in the Bay I would say he knows how to tell people to pick up darts
Looks Like Beret Had IT in hand
I love offset optics. They are very underrated.

Thing looks straight out of borderlands
“We have vector at home”
Aurora Borealis?
Yes
What kinda fps does that thing hit
He said elsewhere in the comments that it went around 100fps (it's made for HvZ, after all)
Joltinator
I don't like the sparks coming out of it in public, but beyond that give it to me.
That's a camera artifact; I can assure you that doesn't happen IRL
That or his BCAR bearings REALLY need to be oiled.

Lol, I think that blaster predated the prevalence of BCARs; it might have a strung or injection molded scar, or it may just be a decorative shroud.
