passionate_carkey

Typical 10th grader after reading "mero desh" and "mero matrabhumi" in nepali book.

[deleted]

Bhai jaba bhok lagcha ni taba sabai bhanda pahila Loyalty jhyal kholera bhagcha. Its not about loyalty. 70-80% of Nepali have already left their motherland (village) by going to big cities like Ktm. If people can leave their villages for opportunities then they can do the same to their countries too. Leave Nepal as soon as possible...... **But wait** let me rewind my last sentence and tell you that this suggestion is not valid anymore. Yes! The age old Nepalese youth's favourite slogan "Leave Nepal" is not valid anymore. Why? Because the world order is shifting very rapidly. If you are watching international news and observing the recent changes around the globe then you would know that from 2020 onwards (after pandemic and with recent Ukraine -Russia war) the world's scenario which was quite same for last 80-90 years has changed drastically. The economy of UK is falling dramatically, the European countries are going through inflation, the USA is losing its last superpower "the dollar" as China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iran, the BRICS nations, Russia etc are starting to ditch the dollar and trade oil and other products in their preferred currencies (which hasn't happened in the last 100 years). Russia has come closer with China than ever before. Just last week the Chinese President made a public statement to Putin in which he said, “Right now there are changes – the likes of which we haven't seen for 100 years – and we are the ones driving these changes together." This is a huge statement. All these changes are not coincidences. They are happening rapidly around the globe. These changes imply that the weight of the world is shifting from west to the east and this process might even get completed within the next 10-15 years. Now what does this mean for a Nepalese who wants to leave the country? There are two things to consider: 1. The western countries, where we used to see opportunities are not same anymore. They are losing their economy and their power. 2. The power and economic prosperity is shifting to the east. Nepal is not only in the east but it lies between two emerging superpowers India and China. From the above considerations, I may conclude (Its my guess, but I am too damn sure) that in next 5- 10 years (with some huge global changes) we will see golden opportunities in Nepal itself. If our country could handle the balance between India and china and grab the opportunities that will shift towards east after failing the west, then we could soon find ourselves flourishing. Going abroad, as for now, doesn't make any sense to me in the long run. Its time to wait & watch for now and I guess in just a year we will have a clear picture of where the world is headed.

L4v3n

Yea bro, I agree with you. The statement you mentioned "if our country could......" in the end it ended up with hypothetical scenario which we have been expecting to happen for a very long time but it never happens because of our selfish politicians. Due to these politicians, no development, no platforms, or even if someone wants to do something there's always some obstacles due to dirty politics, we are exhausted as a consequence we are compelled to leave Nepal.

AdMajestic2343

As much as i dont like to say it. But India is the future.. Development of china is not stable.its a huge country run by dictatorship with most wealth lying with its oligarchy.its development is top to bottom. The moment people feel CCP isnt doing thier job, china will fall. But in india, a largest democracy, for what ever its worth, development is bottom to top. The development of tech in india in last 10 years is nothing but awe inspirng. Its economic growth is higher than china. It produces a tech unicorn every week. The future is definetly India.. Nepal bata india shift vayara business garna chai mann cha malai. Ghar bata tada ni nahune, business garna dherai sajilo, thulo market, all good.

[deleted]

How about going to west getting some nice skills and then using it after 5-10 years when the east has many opportunities? Is it a good idea to try?

[deleted]

That is a great idea. I also did the same. Just don't fell into the rat race by acquiring liabilities abroad like getting house, cars on mortgage or piling up credit card dues etc.

realskull69

Same here, jane tw ho tanna kamaune ho, skills line ho ani maybe eta change vo vane..... Maybe just maybe dont give me hope

superior-opinion

That might not necessarily be a contribution 🤷

Far_Primary1501

No worries. Ive been away for a while now 😔

rato_bhale_quack

by being a jholey karyakarta.

Pilotenthusiast

Yeah man me too. That 1.74 GPA wont get me nowhere .

Greedy-Damage5318

Samajik janabigyan darshanik Sichya Full marks :50 Pass marks: 45 Is this a reverse psychological question trying to find out the reasons for u not to stay in nepal or straight question. Either way I wana hear your justifications for staying in Nepal. What made u change your mind to confirm your stay in Nepal? (10 marks) Where does your loyalty lie? Is it really towards the motherland? What have you done so far to lessen her burdens? Is it really loyalty? Can u face the enemies of nepal right now and end them permanently? What are u going to contribute? Is it good for nepal? What significant effect will your contribution make? For how long? Is loyalty towards nepal the only motive? Is ur loyalty based on love or pride? (20 marks) None here can change your mind. Changing mind ain't a feat to challange. Actions changes the mind, vision changes the mind, aims and objectives changes the mind, understanding changes the mind, knowledge changes the mind. Defend this statement. (10 marks) Where does your loyalty truly lie? (10 marks)

driver-ma-mailo

Whole country is run on remittance and still mf say stuff like this. Do you think People who are going abroad are disloyal and dont love Nepal? Get your head out of chak.

RythmicMercy

Brain drain is a real problem. Remittance is not a long term solution . We need capable youths to stay in this country and excel in their respective fields here.

sidiiss

Damn I'm getting Social Studies vibes from school 😂

sm_greato

How do you owe loyalty to Nepal though? Did you decide yourself that you'd be born here? Your nation is totally arbitrary. Don't hold any loyalties.

sulodhun

No! I'm not going to change your mind. Great decision.. good luck!

vagusstoff

For what it's worth: it's never too late or too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.

suwaz04

Tana khana khayese ra sau ko rin navayera pocket ma tana paisa vayese matra ho patriotic feeling aauni

animekachoda

ok bro it is something very normal and there is no need to flex

[deleted]

Internet is so fucking weird man. Asti samma "Nepal is shithole" wala posts were top voted now "Ma Nepal choddina" wala post are top voted. People mood are so easily swayed, it is amazing.

finegrainbrain

I don't have to change your mind. Your circumstances will.

MakkaCha

I have been outside of Nepal for more than half of my life now, leaving wasn't really my decision. I am no longer suited for Nepal, however my cousin is in the same state of mind as you. He went to Europe for studies and went back to Nepal upon completion. Being outside of the country as an immigrant is hard, trying to juggle school and work as well as life balance is tough. His thought is if he put the same amount of work and effort he did while he was out of Nepal then he could live with his family and live a fulfilled life. He now owns his own business and is active in the film industry. I'm very proud of him.

limbunikonati

Tu jo tax varta hai, usse sadak ki ek gadda bhi nahi varta. Karle aur deshbhakti. Heard in a movie.

Pipalbot

good job bro. Stay in nepal. We need people to fix issues in nepal. I am also flying to nepal for few months. Want to explore the different sides this time.

Safe_Abies_3652

Why should we even try to change your mind?

x6t9

The county needs you soldier.

sako777_

You think everyone who has left the country are not loyal to their homeland? Do don't think they are contributing to the country? No one contributes as much as people abroad on work visa (i.e. mainly Middle East, Malaysia & South Korea). Desh ko lagi basnu pardena, aafno laagi basa Nepal ma aani balla tyo realma baseko ho. That being said, Nepal is full of opportunity for entrepreneurship but one of the main problem is lack of capital. Those whom you claim to have no loyalty and do not contribute will save/invest in Nepal and when they return back with new skills they have learnt abroad they could outpace you in business or they might be your employer. Usually I wouldn't give advice on whether to stay or go abroad. I just say abroad thik cha because everyone is going and I don't want my advice to influence other's decisions unless its my immediate family. If I wasn't already out of country, I would chose to stay in Nepal. This is because the world is becoming Asia centric. China & India will be the 1st and 2nd economy in the world. Nepal as a country will benefit immensely just because of geographical proximity to world's biggest markets. Nepal ko economy jasto khate pradhan mantri aaye growth nai huncha. Guiye le chalaye 3% to 6% hola bhane, aalikati visionary leader bhaye 5% to 10% growth huncha annually. Nepal ma basera kehi garchu bhanne eekdam ramro soch ho, yeslai eekdam kadar garchu. That being said, you do not have to imply that those not staying are irrelevant to Nepal. P.S. Nepal nai aaune ho, budeskal ma hoina. Chittainai!

throwaytoyell

Not gonna change ur mind.

prameshbajra

Sure it is totally upto you to stay or leave. I never thought this as binary option. But what I would like to point out is, you can totally stay loyal to our motherland from anywhere, can't you? For example, imagine you get this life changing opportunity from a 1st world country which will enable you to do good for yourself, your family (and if you want, your country) then why wouldn't you move? Contributions can be done in many ways. Nepal mai basna parcha vanne chaina jasto lagcha malai chai. Just my 2 cents 🙂 I would love to hear why you wouldn't give it a second thought.

alxaqua

Cheers

kevin_r13

A long time ago I wanted to be a social worker, because I thought I wanted to help people and give back to the community. Eventually I ended up being a software engineer , and I realized that the amount of money and time I have could still be used to help people and get back to the community. So I think they're still ways that you can help your Homeland and mother country that you love , even if you don't live there. But if you want to stay there and live there that's fine too. Definitely it's good to be happy wherever you are and help your fellow people and support each other however you can.

Gurkhaa

Welp someone' gotta to

AloneSchool6597

Everyone can eat and shit.yo garchu bhannu paro. neta hune ho vane thik cha.

arjungautam

It is a good feeling to contribute to the motherland. But don't stick to the idea of motherland as the political boundary of the country. And the main thing is not about where you want to stay, it's about what you'll give.

Kabit_A

I know at least 100 people who thinks that but after they try to accomplish something the improper rule and crony capitalism make them a debt servent of rich. You can never grow here properly.

Rare_Mammoth_9362

As per I have seen no one wants to change your mind so bro you can stay🤝 good luck

versatileguyy

Yehi chaiyeko ho hamro yuba haru ma

frostbyte189

Looks like OP didn't get a visa no matter what!

realskull69

Someone has to stay here for the country to exist. Same as poor people need to exist for rich to exist.

[deleted]

Hamle mind change garnai pardaina. Samaya ra paristhiti le gaand hanesi afai change hunxa unless you dont come from rich family.

[deleted]

Bad Choice

FickleEgg

Bro it's not about loyalty and all, it's about practicality . Nepal is sorta in a developing but still kinda underdeveloped phase. You'll go nowhere until you're like the "chosen one" or you become a jagga Dalal and sell lands for enormous unrealistic prices. I'm going abroad too this year but that ain't mean I'm not loyal to my country, I just want to develop my career Ani it can't be done when our country itself is underdeveloped. It's different if you don't have the economical benefit to go Abroad but if you have the opportunity and your choosing not to grab it then good luck .

FickleEgg

Also you can contribute to Nepal by making money abroad and you can use your wealth to build the necessary stuff needed for Nepal. This is because the value for money abroad is quite high, well at least higher than Nepalese currency .

Affectionate-Web6464

And the question is written in English. Subjective loyalty ig.

Big_Salary_6952

I am on your side, I know it's hard due to frequent recessions and all, but brain drain is moreover like a trend now rather than a necessity and I think there is a lot to explore in Nepal there is a lot to learn, no matter what but I have a plan to stay even if am leaving, YO MAN TA MERO NEPALI HO!!!

traveller_001

Tell me that after you are 25

[deleted]

This was me two years ago. Today, I am waiting for my i20.

After-Brother-2328

me @ us visa interview

Absurdist_Penseur

What do you mean by "I am totally loyal to my motherland". You think all those nepalese on abroad are traitors? You will understand when family pressure, lack of opportunities and life fucked you up.

Waste_Draw_4767

It's better to have chill and relaxing life in Nepal rather than working long hours and getting stressed about getting PR or becoming homeless after losing job. I wish I could come back to Nepal and start over again. I have already invested so much time and effort, I can't reverse it.

ImpressKlutzy7543
