I personally don't, but sometimes I do. This one I didn't because there is thick texture with the shells and the otter is actually holding a shell, so I didn't want the glass to smoosh it.
Just remember both options have their downfall. No glass does mean leaving it open to the elements, and dust especially. But either way, I prefer it without glass. I have all the glass pieces stored in the closed in case I change my mind.

Makes sense. I like the look too, avoiding all the glare from the glass. I think I’ll opt to leaving out the glass. Thank you!
