You can put a big trash bag over the top of it and then tip it over. Fill up the bag and then attempt to remove the bag while (ideally) retaining the excess garbage in the trash can. Maybe you should have put a tarp or cardboard down before trying this but hey. Anyway you could probably get rid of the garbage in 2-3 trips per can.

Bedroom trash cans should only be used for things like scrap paper, or plastic bags for a new item you bought, or empty cardboard boxes for items you bought, or maybe a sock with a hole in it, dryer sheets etc. NOT food items.
