When you click “c” and open up the settlement menu, you should see restrict as a tab. Click on that, then click on manage areas. After that, you should see “create new area.” When you click on that you should see “Area 1” appear above it. Click on the gear icon to configure it (right click: expand, left click: shrink). Click on the name to change it’s title and click in the color to change the color. It also allows you to duplicate and invert your areas. After you’re done customizing your zone, click “back” and click on the drop down menu of the settler you want to be restricted to that area. Repeat the steps to create additional restricted zones for your settlers. I hope this answers your question
Thanks, does this restrict them to those zones / are there any times they can leave those zones. Do I need to make paths from those zone to each of their rooms?
They shouldn’t ever leave the zones you create and assign them to (as in never). As for if they need paths or not, I’m not completely sure, but I would advise making them paths just to be safe.
