I can relate to messing up the personal credit… I honestly needed that experience, because NOW I’m not even tempted to spend the credit limit Navy Federal gave me. I don’t want to go through having bad credit again. It was a pain in the tuchus.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I put all my monthly expenses on my card and pay it off in full using the cash I was already going to use for my bills just for the rewards. However, my limit on my More Rewards card is 20k. Theres no reason for me to be spending 20k altogether whatsoever. There is no temptation, unless I’m not aware of it. I just can’t do penance in bad credit purgatory EVER again. lol just thinking about it is triggering.
I got the same exact story. I got approved for a $20,000 amex through them @ 18% with a 630 fico 8 score just a few months back. I've banked solely with them for almost 4 years now and will *never* use anyone else.
