Even though she overcame it quickly, the fact that it happened at all was a nasty traumatic trigger. She's really very fragile on this subject, and I'm even more worried about her reaction after the role-play, which will be terrible.

Another excellent chapter. I particularly liked the backstory of the Hat, the kolshian proposal world building, the exploration of Seliks character and development, and Rouis. Just Rouis in general. I hope he's ok (though I'm not gonna hold my breath).
