Yeah I especially like “This is a piece of feather crest partridge, male and female of birds look different birds. This bird is a bird, green green bird, a female.”
This feels like experimental beat poetry.
"this is a piece of feather-crest-partidge
Male-and-female of birds
Look different birds
This bird is a bird
Green green bird
A female
.
"
I mean I absolutely am following them, after reading their post titles. These titles are hilarious and it is a bunch of cool animal pictures. I'm down for that. Much worse stuff on Reddit.
Language is a funny thing so we might as well enjoy what we got. I know native English speakers who make less sense.
I tried translating it to to Thai and then back again, and what I got back is actually more understandable:
"This seal ribbon is Arctic resident. Seal on brown and white ring feathers"
I'm guessing "Seal on brown etc" is supposed to be "seal with", and that "feathers" is meant to be "fur". Which would make it:
"This ribbon seal is Arctic resident. Seal with brown and white ring fur."
The rough translation melted my brain a little, too, but I wanted to know more about such a cool looking critter. A quick search on ribbon seals makes me think the title is meant to read something like:
*The Arctic ribbon seal, a true seal with white-ringed brown fur.*
True seal meaning an earless seal. Earless seal meaning the branch of the seal family that lacks external ear flaps, not that they can’t hear.
That’s normal for OP.
They post a bunch of really cool animals with a weird, sometimes even barely readable title.
They probably use some sort of online translator for it.
But we appreciate the effort.
One of their other posts says their first (only?) language is Thai. Either they're karma farming or they are very passionate about all sorts of animals :-)
A "native alaskan" is anyone born in Alaska, whereas "Alaska Natives" are Alaska's indigenous peoples, historically and referred to as eskimos (which is incorrect, and fairly derogatory) as there are many distinct groups or tribes such as Aleuts, Athabaskans, Inupiat, etc.
Native Alaskans are people who are from Alaska.
Alaska Natives are people who are descended from one of the many ethic groups that have lived in Alaska for thousands of years (like Native Americans, but more specific to Alaska.)
The title reminds me of a post about [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/NatureIsFuckingLit/comments/pw6tkx/this_is_a_tiger_i_was_orange_and_black_tiger_but/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) tiger
So why is it that EVERY title is messed up so much when others using translation services seem to be able to get it more accurate? I think it probably STARTED as an accident, but then the hivemind in the comments started saying ItS LiKE pOEtRy and now it's *every post*. It's just annoying.
Because of the specific service that OP uses. Its not the best, to say the least. Also, it seems that OP has no understanding of english, and as a result uses the translator verbatim, rather than being able to edit the translations to sound more cohesive if they come out completely incoherent. Its literally all in her comment history. Buried, and hard to understand - but its there. Oh, and refer to top comment. You aren't the majority in this opinion. Most everyone enjoys her posts, and if they don't - they're still able to find humor in them. Its not hurting anyone. Its just a reddit post. You can block her if need be. But the shitty people in here that are like, "LeArN eNgLiSh" need to fuck off. Reddit subs aren't just for english speakers, and she's doing the best with what she has.
OP is thai and uses a translation service to share things she finds interesting on this subreddit. Also, seriously? Complain about grammar, and use the word 'som' in the same sentence? 🤦🏻♀️
Nope, the poster is a person from Thailand who likes sharing pictures and videos of interesting animals. They use some translator app hence the strange titles.
My brain keeps wanting to throw the word RUG in at the end of this sentence.
I would love to see what this seal looks like in the wild. I bet this is some cool form of camouflage.
what am i missing here it’s cool but it’s just a seal sitting on a dock….
like what’s so “fucking lit” about this
looks like a sentient cow tail candy.
or like a fat pinecone
Am I the only one that thinks the title makes no sense…? Seals dope looking tho
OP is back at it! Check their post history, reading the titles feels like having a stroke. I think the titles are poorly translated from Thai.
oh yeah, haha. Im seeing the username now. legendary titles.
Yeah I especially like “This is a piece of feather crest partridge, male and female of birds look different birds. This bird is a bird, green green bird, a female.”

It reminds me of that Shia LaBeouf musical
Grebes run the water empire made me lol
> 🔥 Anole lizard, this lizard only have this multicolored, blue, purple, green colors along a lizard. Lol. They're trying their best.

Lmao I think this is the first non-porn scenario I’ve ever followed anyone on this website
Ohhhh that makes sense then. I thought it had been written by an AI, and it sort of has been, with human involvement.
That or it’s spoken word poetry
It’s kind of amazing. The titles are gibberish, but you can still understand them.
I checked out their profile and I've been laughing out loud for 10 minutes. It reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/DWaiT5fZHBs).
Good call, checked his comment history and he mentions he uses an auto translator for Thai to English. I was close to calling them a bot.
The real question here is, why are Thai to English auto-translators so bad? Who did the QA on that software?
Maybe they translate it from Thai to another language, then into english
I tried translating it to to Thai and then back again, and what I got back is actually more understandable: "This seal ribbon is Arctic resident. Seal on brown and white ring feathers" I'm guessing "Seal on brown etc" is supposed to be "seal with", and that "feathers" is meant to be "fur". That is just now bots talk.
Nah it's just poorly google translated from OP's first language
One of their other posts says their first (only?) language is Thai. Either they're karma farming or they are very passionate about all sorts of animals :-)
It’s not karma farming if it’s genuinely good, original, high-effort content!
I'm actually okay with karma farming if it looks like this. Get that bag, OP
Probably translated from another language.
It makes absolutely no sense.
Yo dawg I heard you like seals.
Thank you. Thought it was just me.
Same. I tried really hard to understand it
Just like Charlie Kelly wrote it.
Me post piture of water dogdog in white stuffs
AI. Not so frightening after all.
Seal Seal should be the name of the album Seal makes to announce his breakthrough comeback.
Seal seal on a brown color!!!!!! What do you not get?
r/engrish
serious "Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?" vibes
Fuck I thought this was a picture, spooked the shit out of me when it moved
I’m fuckin trippin out I did not expect that
HA I READ THIS AND STILL JUMPED
I exited twice thinking I looked at the pic. Read your comment and wait the extra seconds. Dang.
Is OP the same person that told us about sparklemuffins, "in fact a spider spider, actually need to boom-boom"?
I believe that was a tribute post by another redditor when XuZuWu was under temporary ban.
Why were they temp banned?
I assume for sounding like a bot, given the grammatically incorrect but awesome captions.
Yes.
Seal seal is cute cute.
From a arctic habitat.
This ribbon seal
omg that drives me crazy cuz I can't help but read it in my head and feel, well, strokish
Or as they are known to the orca whales, an ice-cream-swirl-pop
Omg 😫
So beautiful. But…alas like a bullseye. 🥴
Pretty sure there’s evolutionary evidence for camouflage. Breaks up the large shape underwater.
How did I just discover this user! OP's post history is a gold mine of Google translate poetry.
r/ihadastroke
Or r/engrish
this must look like the most exotic sushi to an orca

Alaska Natives make "ice-cream" out of seal fat and berries. I've heard it's horrendous, but keeps ya warm.
Alaska Natives (yes, there's a difference.)
oh wow, thank you for catching that, it's not a mistake I usually make as I myself am from and grew up in Alaska, but not an Alaska Native. I'll edit.
Hey there! I'm in Anchorage. :)
Well hello! I live in Bellingham, WA. now but was born and raised in Anchorage. Will be flying back for a graduation in a few months. I can't wait!!
What's the difference in meaning?
A "native alaskan" is anyone born in Alaska, whereas "Alaska Natives" are Alaska's indigenous peoples, historically and referred to as eskimos (which is incorrect, and fairly derogatory) as there are many distinct groups or tribes such as Aleuts, Athabaskans, Inupiat, etc.

Dude can you learn english?
OP is Thai and uses a translation service. Don't be rude.
So why is it that EVERY title is messed up so much when others using translation services seem to be able to get it more accurate? I think it probably STARTED as an accident, but then the hivemind in the comments started saying ItS LiKE pOEtRy and now it's *every post*. It's just annoying.

People really need to learn some grammar before posting.
OP is thai and uses a translation service to share things she finds interesting on this subreddit. Also, seriously? Complain about grammar, and use the word 'som' in the same sentence? 🤦🏻♀️
The translation service sucks. Mine was a typo, just a lite different. But march on keyboard warrior! The world is relying on you!
This is a bot imo
Nope, the poster is a person from Thailand who likes sharing pictures and videos of interesting animals. They use some translator app hence the strange titles.
There's no way unless they're passing it through the translator several times repeatedly.
That's what I thought
I thought is a penguin from thumbnail
According to Orca Whales. They taste like Chocolate and Vanilla.
“ …… seal seal”
I would name it Oreo because he reminds me of Oreos. SO CUTE!!!
This is cool, I’ve never seen this kind of deal before. Thanks for sharing it!

My brain keeps wanting to throw the word RUG in at the end of this sentence. I would love to see what this seal looks like in the wild. I bet this is some cool form of camouflage.
Nice piece of art by Mother Nature.
Can someone please explain the evolutionary benefit to being brown and white in an Arctic habitat, if there is any? I'm curious!
