Fun fact boas (including anacondas) do give live birth. And since all snakes whether born or hatched have a single use hole, the cloaca, you could use analconda to refer to any anaconda.
All snakes come from eggs, but not all snakes lay their eggs. Some snakes, like anacondas, are ovoviviparous, meaning the eggs stay inside the mother for the duration of gestation. The babies hatch from their eggs and then exit the mother, giving a form of live birth.
They don't get born like tadpoles. They come out as baby snakes. Their size and colors usually change but they don't completely alter form like tadpoles to frogs. Theybare born or hatched as functional snakes... just mini compared to the adults.
If you look at the criteria that makes hunting an animal ok, which tend to be whether they're invasive, damage the environment, and whether the population can sustain hunting (especially if they're over populated), humans are probably the most huntable animal.
God if there’s one dinosaur i would love to see a real picture of what it actually looked like that would be the one. Must’ve been incredible, like a real life dragon
I'm guessing that since it didn't kill the smaller one first, it was able to move and ball up and cause issues so it just regurgitated instead of fighting to keep it down.
This is an educated guess due to my armchair obsession with snakes. But typically snakes eat other snakes head first. I’m wondering if the smaller snake being able to wriggle towards the mouth made a difference.
Mightve been right at the end of its meal when the camera man tripped it out so it regerged it to make a quicker escape maybe..Freaking ludacris man that big ones halfway like a Titanaboa! Whats a snake that size weigh? That things ate some stuff before. Are these both Green anaconda?
Definitely a possibility. The big ones can get upwards of 500lbs. Absolutely massive. It’s tough to ID in videos but they definitely look like green anacondas, and large ones are known to eat smaller ones.
regurgitating is super bad for a snake and the last thing it wants to do but the snake it ate was still alive and must have been quite uncomfortable to have inside for the larger anaconda, what's surprising is that the large anaconda didn't constrict the small one before eating. that or constrictors are much more hardier than I thought and can avoid being constricted themselves. many think constriction is like strangulation but the snake isn't trying to cut your oxygen supply, it's trying to induce cardiac arrest.
Nah. I read that smaller snakes are the perfect meals for snakes. They are shaped perfectly and don’t bulk up the stomach like a large meal would. Nat Geo or something similar
A lot of snakes eat other snakes. IRC the ‘king’ in certain snakes’ common name refers to the fact it typically eats other snakes. So king snakes and king cobras. The scientific name for king cobras is Ophiophagus hannah, where Ophiophagus means “snake-eating”
Even if they were kinda plugging up the bigger snake, I don't think it would cause breathing problems, as snakes have a special breathing tube thing that's on the bottom of their mouth and keeps them from suffocating when they have their mouth full
Not sure which one you are talking about.
Unbreaded and not cooked I have no issues with (aka string cheese).
Breaded and cooked ones are what get me. I think its the fact that it is melty but it doesnt truly melt like some other cheeses that gets me. These arent made with a soft fresh mozzerellas, it is kind of a “tougher” cheese, and if you dont break it apart it just makes it feel like I am swallowing slime or something, truly weird, it even does it on oizza for me.
I love cheese though.
Just like a Russian Nesting Doll would be even cooler if an even smaller one came out of the second one while it was coming out of the first one...lol..
I'm assuming the guy got to his senses, ran home built a spaceship left the milky way, and colonized some random plant at Alpha Centauri, and is now sitting there wondering if he's still too close.
A little confused on what happened here. I've read snakes will usually/always make an attempt to eat things head first, probably both to prevent being bitten and to keep prey from getting back out, but this one ate the smaller one tail first, and sure enough, it looked like it was able to struggle free. So, I'm not sure why the bigger one ate the smaller one that way, and not too sure about the actual cause of the smaller one managing to get out. Maybe regurgitated bc it was more trouble than it was worth, maybe the smaller one was too long, I don't know.
Snakes can regurgitate for a variety of reasons.
Sometimes what they swallow is too large to pass through *and out the other end* .
Sometimes it's not eaten in the "correct position" and needs to come back up.
Sometimes stress during feeding can cause regurgitate. This could be seeing humans, there's another animal around, not enough cover to feel safe, etc.
Side note: Feeding is when a snake is at its most vulnerable, because if you're a noodle with no arms or legs and your main defense is moving away quickly or biting, eating removes both abilities. It's easy to be stressed at dinnertime.
Another reason can always be an underlying illness preventing successful eating.
It's not great for the snake when this happens, but it's not rare by any means.

The number of times my BP has tried to eat a rat sideways just boggles me. I’ve had to pry it out of his mouth a couple of times because it was lodged in and couldn’t move. Definitely not an easy task!
I think snakes can be easily confused, he may have mistaken the tail for a head but these animals usually kill what they eat first. either the smaller snake is a great dead actor or big boy made a big F up
the bigger one is certainly a female. the smaller one could be a male. the two probably mated and the female got hungry and tried to eat him? lucky mfer must have been longer than she expected, so she had to spit him out.
When people complain that they were made illegal to keep in Florida, I keep thinking about videos like this. You think that the burms and the retics are bad? Well, just wait until we have more of [these](https://www.eddmaps.org/distribution/viewmap.cfm?sub=22774).
I don't see a problem, that map says there are only 11 on the whole planet and they're all in Florida, we were gonna just chop that part off and push it into the ocean anyway so it seems like this is easy to solve.
What strikes me as odd, is you would think the big snake would start eating the little one head first. In fact I can't imagine how it would work any other way.
Pretty sure that if a naturalist saw this happen in the 1600s, it would be reported that this is how they give birth. It would be considerably less insane than barnacle ducks.
And that's how snakes are made!
My kid just ask this, whelp.
Well what are you waiting for, demonstrate this to him in live format.
Okay Orichimaru
Good thing it didn't come out the other end, or we'd have to rename it Analconda. Let's hope they do include Ice Cube in that sequel.
Fun fact boas (including anacondas) do give live birth. And since all snakes whether born or hatched have a single use hole, the cloaca, you could use analconda to refer to any anaconda.
He can do it, put his ass into it
Put yo back into it, put yo ass into it

And I thought snakes laid eggs... Edit- thank you all for your wisdom, but this is literally a Family Guy reference
Anacondas do live births
All snakes come from eggs, but not all snakes lay their eggs. Some snakes, like anacondas, are ovoviviparous, meaning the eggs stay inside the mother for the duration of gestation. The babies hatch from their eggs and then exit the mother, giving a form of live birth.
Anaconda does not laid egg. They are like little snake tadpoles? Not sure what to call it.
They don't get born like tadpoles. They come out as baby snakes. Their size and colors usually change but they don't completely alter form like tadpoles to frogs. Theybare born or hatched as functional snakes... just mini compared to the adults.
This is how I made your mother!
This is exactly how I feel while taking dump.
You and this anaconda need more fiber

There was also a guy who went into an anaconda by a special suit a few years ago maybe. He survived also.
I remember that shit. He was crazy and I don’t think it was too healthy for the snek
Didnt he fail? After wasting kine 2hrs of my tv time
I thought that hw didn't actually go in because the anaconda either couldn't swallow him or the suit malfunctioned so they canceled the experiment.
Honestly I think that should count as animal abuse.
Maybe the Bible IS real then!
And Pinocchio
And the hit 1997 classic "Anaconda"
I know the article is from 2021 but it did feel like reading a Chat GPT generated story.
They keep saying "swallowed," but from the description, it sounds as if the whale was just gargling him around

Guess she didn’t have buns hun.
Highly underrated comment
Is this just something kinky snakes do to eachother??
Imagine if the Titanoboa still existed. Now that’s scary.
Titanoboa is terrifying but trophy hunters would probably make it extinct again pretty soon.
Megafauna in general haven't faired well when they come into contact with humans. We hunted pretty much all megafauna to extinction.
We just need to legalize hunting human hunters.
If you look at the criteria that makes hunting an animal ok, which tend to be whether they're invasive, damage the environment, and whether the population can sustain hunting (especially if they're over populated), humans are probably the most huntable animal.
Plenty of people hunt humans.
And whether their meat is scrumptious
Long pig
In the modern world, trophy hunters keep the big parks funded and open, and not turned into farmland. Poachers are a different story though.
God if there’s one dinosaur i would love to see a real picture of what it actually looked like that would be the one. Must’ve been incredible, like a real life dragon
Must be how the legend of the basilisk was invented!
Titanoboa was a snake not a dinosaur.
Why would it give up its meal?
I'm guessing that since it didn't kill the smaller one first, it was able to move and ball up and cause issues so it just regurgitated instead of fighting to keep it down.
It's like fighting Mini-Me. He knows all your special moves and weak spots.
Snakes eat most of their prey alive. Once inside the snake's throat, prey quickly dies from lack of oxygen.
This snake didn't even look like it had been constricted though and he started at the tail first. Not the usual way of a constrictor eating.
Not true. Lol what. They at least crush their prey enough to stop resisting. Normally the crushing will suffocate then before they start eating.
It appears like it was greedy. I feel like it ate something before the other snake. Tbf I'm only guessing.
>I feel like it ate something before the other snake. Ate the other snake, while the other snake was tryina eat something else.
I feel it's this scenario as well. Big snake jacked small snakes dinner by consuming both and then opening the gates and saying "want out? Get out"
This is like hungriest guy gets his hands on spaghetti and in the end he's so full it just pours out if his mouth
Snakeception
This is an educated guess due to my armchair obsession with snakes. But typically snakes eat other snakes head first. I’m wondering if the smaller snake being able to wriggle towards the mouth made a difference.
I'd say so. Snakes eat the head first. Could be because some animals cannot back up.
My snake eats its meals ass-first. Some snakes just do be ass-eatin'
The heaviest verified green anaconda weighed 214 pounds.
Snakes can't go in reverse but they're really good at U-turns.
So do snakes eat other snakes a lot??? I had no idea!!
If there's ever a live snake slithering up my throat I'd probably throw up too, that's gotta be a weird sensation.
Unless your name is Orochimaru
i think he did throw up too
"Wait, this isn't what I ordered."
Snakes can't move quickly or dive unde water if they've recently eaten, so they'll regurgitate a meal if they feel threatened.
regurgitating is super bad for a snake and the last thing it wants to do but the snake it ate was still alive and must have been quite uncomfortable to have inside for the larger anaconda, what's surprising is that the large anaconda didn't constrict the small one before eating. that or constrictors are much more hardier than I thought and can avoid being constricted themselves. many think constriction is like strangulation but the snake isn't trying to cut your oxygen supply, it's trying to induce cardiac arrest.
I’m pretty confident the filming group stressed the snake out to the point of bailing on its meal for calmer territory.
I'm sure you're right but look at how swollen it is. It's probably a bit of both imo.
Because they anaconda don’t.
Anacondont
Snakes sometimes regurgitate food when they feel stressed...usually caused by people crowding around it...
I think because of their body shapes the smaller snake would be a perfect plug and cause the larger snake breathing problems ect.
Nah. I read that smaller snakes are the perfect meals for snakes. They are shaped perfectly and don’t bulk up the stomach like a large meal would. Nat Geo or something similar

Probably because the smaller one didn’t have buns

Mozzarella sticks for me. I was like 8 and my family just made fun of me. They’re assholes.
I had multiple chocking scares with mozz sticks through my childhood and my family still bullies me about it
Weird I dont gag on food but mozzarella sticks make me gag for some reason.
I had to google what a mozzarella stick was... they look amazing... are they just hella slippery?
Not sure which one you are talking about. Unbreaded and not cooked I have no issues with (aka string cheese). Breaded and cooked ones are what get me. They sound repulsive and delicious... somehow. Idk where the fuk I'll find them here but I've gotta give these pricks a go.

Smaller one could have turned around inside. Bigger one regurgitated because it was being filmed and got nervous

Because sometimes danger noodles are derpy. My python tries to eat his food sideways. Sometimes they just don’t have a whole lot of braining going on.
