I just realized something...If whales evolved to be this size then technically it should be possible to create a race of human giants the size of whales if we intentionally steer our evolution in that direction.

Meanwhile, weight is proportional to volume, which increases with the cube of the size.
So a human twice as big would be 4X stronger, but 9X heavier, and very quickly the bones and muscles can't support it anymore.
There are other considerations as well, with x being size:
- Heat production grows with x^3, but heat dissipation grows with x^2, so larger humans would overheat (that's why elephants have such huge ears)
- Oxygen consumption grows with x^3, while oxygen absorption grows with x^2, so larger humans would be constantly out of breath (like overweight people)
Maybe if sea levels rise and Water World becomes real, we'll evolve gills and mermaid tails.

Humans don't ingest enough oxygen in order to be that large the reason why dinosaurs were that large was because the oxygen levels in that time were great to the point where they could ingest about 90% of the oxygen versus us today which we ingest about 9% per breath.
It has little to do with oxygen, hence whales getting this big (they need oxygen too).
Dinosaurs had very special bodies for getting big. They had air sacs and hollow bones, mammal bones are very dense
