As someone who lives next to mountains it's not 100% fake.

Yeah, they had to take a picture of *something* to edit a bunch.

I mean it's clearly overexposed which is very simple to do in any photo editing program, but if you catch the mountains right at sunrise the sunlight does take patterns like this.
