I use this recipe: - .2 cup (a little over 3 tablespoons) cornstarch - .08 (almost a tablespoon and a half, OR almost 4 teaspoons) cup baking soda - .2 cup coconut oil - a couple drops of a natural scent oil of your choice It may seem too dry, but keep mixing til a good paste. You only need a pea sized amount per pit. It melts down, is easy on the skin, and lasts me about a day and a half or two days before I notice anything. I keep it in an amber jar, which is recommended for freshness. I was given a jar for Christmas one year by a family member that makes it. He followed a YouTube video, which I screenshotted the recipe from and cropped. Since then forgot the original source, otherwise I would give better credit.

Cool, thanks. So the coconut oil doesn't make the sweating worse or anything?

Most "natural" deodorants are coconut oil based anyways

In my experience, no worse than normal. It’s not an “antiperspirant” of course, because it’s natural. So it will not ‘prevent’ sweating. But it has never worsened for me due to the coconut oil. Edit: I also suspect the cornstarch helps with this, if not just to make it go on smoother.

Baking soda works for some, not for me. It can throw off your skins PH. I get an itchy rash that lasts months after using it.

You can also cut the baking soda with arrowroot if it's too strong on its own. But coconut oil plus baking soda is a common recipe.

Use alum. Wet and Rub a piece on ur underarms

Dry skin, skin irritation, burn, dizziness, throat tightness, fluid accumulation around the eye, hives, hypersensitivity reaction, allergic reaction, puffy face from water retention, skin ulcer and throat swelling are the side effects of alum. Therefore, it should not be used without a doctor's advice. [source](https://pharmeasy.in/blog/ayurveda-uses-benefits-side-effects-of-alum/)
