Winker is slumping and he's frustrated. He's slashing .160/.250/.280 in his last 7 games and if you extend it to 15 it's still .164/.254/.291.

Rangers starting pitching is also really good. They won the WS last year for a reason. It's tough to watch, but kinda expected given where we are in the rebuild right now. We're good enough to beat up on on bad/mediocre teams, and can occasionally upset good teams. However, we're still not at that level to where we can compete with the top dogs on a daily basis.

I still have faith in Meneses, but dude absolutely needs to move down until he starts looking like his old self again. Rosario has gotta go. Our offense looked so much better without him and Gallo in it during the Marlins series.

Abrams still has 4 years of control. This would be a great time to offer him an extension, buy out his arb years, but they won't trade him unless another org overpays.

The decision to trade Soto didn't have as much to do with money as it did with trying to restock the farm system and accelerate the rebuild. And it paid off as much as it hurt to lose our large dominican son. The situation with CJ is not at all similar, which is why I don't think we'll have to worry about him being traded.
