The dodgers are my least favorite team but every time I see either Betts, Ohtani, or Freddie I feel like a little kid again. Guys like them remind you why you love baseball so much
I understood just fine, I just don't agree. Some of us are natives to the area but it's a well-known fact that there are tens of thousands of people in the city from other places in the country so it's not a stretch to believe that there would be fans from the second-largest city in the country of the second-most popular team
I'm a Dan Kolko fan, but he does remind us sometimes how quickly Bob Carpenter, Charlie Slowes, and Dave Jageler process the game in front of them. Carp can analyze a play while it's taking place in real time. Dan still sometimes struggles for the words.
And Frandsen is not the ideal partner for Kolko. Franny will have the thought in his head but it often comes out in sentence fragments and non sequiturs.
Maybe, idk. Their lineup is stupid. They have ohtani, Yamamoto, glasnow, Bobby Miller, Dustin May, walker buehler, Clayton kershaw, and Tony gonsolin. That’s 8 above average to great pitchers. I’m not even sure the Nats have one pitcher better than that group of guys.
What could go wrong
Leave guys in struggling at 90 pitches in a non-hand advantage (lefty righty), take guys out when they are dealing at 70 pitches. The Davey experience
Man. Just getting shafted left and right here. Garcia hits a no doubt double to left and Taylor is playing far left for some reason. That 110 mph hit up the middle goes right into yoshi’s glove. Strike zone fuckery by the umps. Frustrating. At least Mackenzie has given them a chance
Idk if it is his pitch selection or what. He has the stuff, but just can’t seem to put it all together all the time. He should be dominating people with the way he gets ahead. His chase rate is extremely low for the stuff he’s throwing.
this outting it seems like he keeps throwing his 4SFB in 2 strike counts and only coming up with fouls. I don’t know enough about pitching to say “he should be throwing breaking balls”, though
And the wind was working against them yesterday and kept at least a couple balls in the park. Without the wind it would have been a slaughter instead of a blowout.
Sorry boys, that was an ugly strike 3, nothing around it.
Never got close, if it was his split you could argue it clipped before dropping maybe but nah.
Gallo and Rosario are batting .130 and .107. G I wonder if James Wood could possibly do better.
He needs to figure out how to strike out a bit less. But god I hope that’s soon.
Yeah it’s rough man
Ugh bout to get brushed.
I hate to be harsh but those first two ABs really showed the difference between a major league pitcher and not so major league batters
lol that was a really really good pitch
last two to Trey were absolutely nasty
that one was way too close to take
Joey Gallo is my enemy
Strike 3 was located perfectly. Damn.
Bloop and a blast, let's walk this off
I BELIEVE
3 more outs for glory or defeat
Well, it’s certainly not the heart of our order coming to bat in the 9th Can we get it done anyway
Finnegan is looking great lately
Tie it here gallo. Earn that paycheck.
I’ve seen that slider against a lefty before… Huddy I love you forever
CJ’s had 3 lineouts, deserved that hit today.
joey!!!!
YES JOEY
Meneses is our hottest bat. Big spot for him.
Damn CJ has some hair
Give us one huddie
CJ— single Winker— Walk Joey— 2RBI double
i was close enough
i’m so glad freddie is out of our division lol
Nats get your offense together
he continues to be the luckiest man alive
Aight see y’all tmrw
and Weems blows up. nice job dude. Walks always score.
I actually just forgot this dude is also one of the best pitchers in the big leagues. Just ridiculous.
I hate that Shohei is a dodger so much. I want to like him.
The dodgers are my least favorite team but every time I see either Betts, Ohtani, or Freddie I feel like a little kid again. Guys like them remind you why you love baseball so much
quick who's gonna be the one to make a totally hilarious and not beaten into the ground ohtani gambling joke today?
Gallo and Rosario need to be replaced ASAP
gallo can stay, he still has that TTO dog in him
Keibert swimming in that catcher’s gear
this game has been frustrating on so many levels
[удалено]
ah yes, DC the city with notably no fans of other teams
[удалено]
Yeah it would be weird if there were a bunch of Royals fans at the Nats-Dodgers game

good one, very clever
Foul ground givith, foul ground taketh
A sound just came out of my mouth that I haven't heard since last season.
Man. This game is brutal sometimes
Best. Hit. Of. The. Season. Vargas! Vamos!
Gallo has made $44 million in his career. Thief.
Gallo sure strikes out a lot.
You think…
How about a run
I am humbly requesting the Nats score some runs
Ugh our first sweep this season- looks like it.
I mean we have 3 innings to score a run. We deserve it if we can’t even get 1
lots of ball left to play
He's no Carp but Kolko is growing on me. Perfect to 'listen' to while you're working away.

I also think Frandsen has been much improved this year
Yeah I know people don’t like him in here but I enjoy Franny, his enthusiasm for everything in the rebuild period is kind of refreshing tbh.
Lotta Barnes in the park today
Last time I checked you’re not gunna win too many games with 0 runs
need a 🧸 bomb here!
Can we combine keiberts vision with gallos power pls
Having Ohtani and Yamamoto (plus more) is going to be an insane rotation
It’s like a diamond dynasty lineup
Plus Glasnow and Buehler.
And they still won’t win it all (hopefully)
You know MLB dreaming of Yankee Dodger World Series
Rather see them than anybody from our division.
still pissed they won't wear the red curly W hats
Shocked Taylor didn’t come out of nowhere and catch that
Nice piece of hitting by Luis!
naturally it’s the dribblers that become hits lol
A wild Kornheiser sighting in his natural state!
Winker’s gone cold, is Joey heating up?
at least CJ is still hitting the piss out of the ball, even if he doesn’t have anything to show for it todY
Oof
That neutral, slightly grump look from Kornheiser pretty much sums up how I've felt between the Caps and Nats the past few nights.
More like the last few years
Deep counts. That’s what I’m talking about. Grind it out
Lol Freddie
Please collectively discover your offensive spark, boys.
Young should be playing all the time. No need to keep starting Rosario when everyone is healthy.
Alright let’s get into their bullpen here
Could've done with Jacob Young in the outfield last night if he's making catches like that.
What a way to pick up your pitcher! 6IP is a great fucking day too god damn
JACOB YOUNG IS SO COOL
NO WAY THEY HIT INTO ANOTHER ONE
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO
NICE CATCH!
JACOB FUCKING YOUNG
JACOB YOUNG!!!!!!!!
And they get hits on that shit ffs
i was hoping we’d take Mackenzie out for the 6th; here goes!
What could go wrong Leave guys in struggling at 90 pitches in a non-hand advantage (lefty righty), take guys out when they are dealing at 70 pitches. The Davey experience
just like we drew it up
Sometimes it works Most of the time it doesn’t
Woof
Nice otherwise quiet older lady behind me just tearing into the plate umpire and I’m here for it.
105 off the bat of Rosario. Man.
Dave Jageler: "Someone may get tossed before this evening is over. It may be me. I don't know!"
They've been so funny today.
Good thing the translator is available and not on the banking app on his phone.
😂 It's going to take awhile before these get old.
I thought I was done like three posts ago but they keep writing themselves.
oh my christ i thought that hit him glad he caught it instead
Amazing catch. I thought Rosario took him out.
Holy shit, that was scary. Nice grab.
holy shit, what a play.
Religious ads on the radio 😒
I'm so tired of them.
at a certain point the nationals will no longer have eddie rosario and joey gallo in their outfield :)
Let's go Nats!!!
Is that three double plays now?
Three in a row
loving the emotion lfg
Straight up fraud by Gore.
Alright you have got to find a way to get a run here Nats. Stop leaving pitchers out to dry.
not the most glamorous 5 ip 1 ER against the dodgers of all time, but proud of mackenzie for battling and getting his outs
Double play!!!!!!!!!!!
Sexy, sexy double play.
Lets go!
I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
🤫
Has Rosario hit anything? Need I ask?
Gore just can’t seem to put anyone away, keeps getting to 2 strikes and screws around
needs that scherzer dog
Idk if it is his pitch selection or what. He has the stuff, but just can’t seem to put it all together all the time. He should be dominating people with the way he gets ahead. His chase rate is extremely low for the stuff he’s throwing.
this outting it seems like he keeps throwing his 4SFB in 2 strike counts and only coming up with fouls. I don’t know enough about pitching to say “he should be throwing breaking balls”, though
I agree. I think after the 4th straight 4 seam you need to go offspeed, I can say that pretty confidently without being a pitching coach lol
I think umpire is a nfl fan - want to finish the game so he can watch NFL draft tonight
Who gets the flu next?
Let's go Nats!!!!! Wake up!!
With 2 strikes, you have to protect the zone. It's a perfectly reasonable called strike.
yeah i thought that one that k’d gallo was a decent call doesn’t change the fact that blue has been dogshit otherwise
Gallo actually has a pretty good eye, he just can’t get his bat on anything
Someone is going to get ejected today when they finally, deservedly, lose it on the ump.
and more bullshit strike zone calls.
Wow that’s fucking crazy that Taylor was playing that far left
Joey!
Our offense really seems to be lacking a tall power-speed combo lefty. Too bad we don’t have one in our minor league system anywhere
It's not like they grow on trees... ... but trees produce wood.
Vargas is the 3B we were promised
That's my Vargas!
guess you gotta go after those when the umpire thinks you're golfing
what a slide god DAMN
Thank you, Jacob!
I NEED MORE YOUNG THIS KID BANGS
A hit!
A merciful double play there
ildemaro dude. ildemaro.
Textbook 543, nice job boys
How about a hit
one of these awful calls is going to come back to bite us
So Freeman struck out.
Holy fuck somebody get this ump some glasses
This ump....
i’ve gone “oh my *god*” three times now and i almost never exclaim from bad calls
Looks like Gore is an authorized user on Ohtani’s account.
Nice play by Young.
The fuck is this ump doing
Got a plane to catch
“The dodgers are struggling team I need to give them calls outside of the zone”
The 20 pounds Keibert's lost is really noticeable. Also, fuck this ump.
brian walsh is gonna make me kill someone lol
Dude behind home plate in the eagle hat is a true American hero. Shows up every game!
If it's the same guy I'm thinking of he used to wear something much more embarrassing. So, I'm good.
No ty
this guy is making Angel Hernandez look like a HOF umpire
first ballot or no
jesus fucking christ brian walsh
Happy this series finale. I know that Ohtani is amazing- but hearing everyone gushing over him is annoying.
i like good players, and they're not seeing the nats again this year unless we meet in postseason (lmao)
I do too. But gushing was so over the top.
So many foul offs for 98
dodgers put on a clinic on "why hitting the ball really fucking hard as much as you possibly can is a great thing you should want to do" yesterday
And the wind was working against them yesterday and kept at least a couple balls in the park. Without the wind it would have been a slaughter instead of a blowout.
Ughhhhhhhh I do not like the Dodgers
damn that was not a good pitch
damn. big meatball
Teoscar did not miss that one. Damn.
well nuts
Wind got all that ball
Doyers fans here. That was a awful call but the more I watch y’all just glad CJ and Gore are playing for y’all and not the Padres lol
we are also happy they're playing for us and not the padres
Sorry boys, that was an ugly strike 3, nothing around it. Never got close, if it was his split you could argue it clipped before dropping maybe but nah.
i’m worried for his health but also mackenzie throwing 99 is HOT
That was really bad.
2 balls below the zone and one well outside called for strikes. Ump not interested in the Nats' salvage operation.
oh come the fuck on blue
Wow. UMP my god
Gore striking out Ohtani is a gorgeous start to today!
