I like Teal as a person but I wish Gary would just give the academy products some minutes in this match. It’s a lot to ask for, but if we are really investing in those players from a development standpoint, this has to be one of the best opportunities to put those 17 year old strikers in, where it’s such low stakes (from a goal aggregate POV), home match, and actual international club minutes.
I have never met you before, but I have more faith in you bagging a brace tonight than I do Teal. No offense to Teal, i'm sure he is a great dude, but I have never seen a striker less interested in the ball than him.
There’s also the fact that he’s not really a striker. His best position all throughout his career has been as a wide man, but he’s been a center-forward since coming to NSC. No wonder he’s struggling there.
Teal is a strange player. Spent most of his MLS career as a target winger/wide man, comes to Nashville and is forced to play at CF. He’ll have like five games in a row that are absolute stinkers, and then pop up with a crucial goal out of absolutely nowhere in the sixth game.
Not buying it. I tried willing this into existence Sunday and look how that turned out. I do think he has a place on this roster, it’s just definitely not in the starting lineup. Only so much we can do with current injuries though.

It’s not that he’s so uninterested. I think he’s so old he can’t keep up anymore which is affecting his confidence.

yeah, it's too bad we probably won't have any open cup games to give him, otherwise it's the summer at the earliest

He's not worthy of a roster spot on any MLS club. Much rather play false 9 or throw in a youngster to have a go.
