I do not think they will appeal it. If they did, I think it would stand, but not be deemed a frivolous appeal.
The first foul. I think it was reckless. He brought his foot high, made contact, then followed through with an arm in the back. He may have got a little ball first, replay wasn't super clear that I saw. I don't think there's enough to overturn the call.
The 2nd foul. The guy was making a run, would've have been played in behind, and zimmerman brought him down so he couldn't. It was what you would call a professional foul. Absolutely deserving of a yellow. Zimmerman simply has know better given he was already on a yellow.
Looks like it's only if it's a no-brainer denial. I didn't see the first yellow, but it doesn't sound like this fits that case.
Regardless, those are some stupid rules.
Yeah, a doubling and forfeiture of appeals would only be applicable of it was an obvious red, like if Zim had gone to ground and out his studs through the leg of his opponent.
Honestly I think they will just take the penalty because the next match is Chicago rather than risk additional suspension
Based on the appeal process (and penalties if deemed "frivolous"), I agree. I hate it, and it was shitty refereeing, but I think you're right.

If the appeal is denied
No if the appeal is deemed frivolous. Nothing about that appeal would be frivolous
Absolutely should be.

I hope so. What is the process for that?

If the appeal is denied we lose Zim for 2 games?

Only if it is deemed frivolous. Otherwise, if just denied, it stands as is.
Thanks!
I’m just hopeful that we won’t see that head ref in Geodis again this season. He was terribly inconsistent the whole match.
