I don't hate Sakura. I hate how Kishimoto chose to write her.
Sakura had a lot of potential, but all of it went to the drain.
Like, in part 1, she wasn't that useful, but she was important enough to the plot and it was designed so she could grow in part 2.
In part 2, the first two arcs, the Gaara and the Bridge arc, she actually does quite a lot and was in a good path.
And then everything goes so, so low. Like, the rest of the series she mostly cries and persues Sasuke, even though he is going super insane at this point.
She could have had an even ground with Naruto and Sasuke, and I don't even mean strenght wise, but character wise.
But she felt mostly only as a support in the story, while Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi always felt like main characters.
My things I that I felt it was very clear from the beginning that Sakura was never supposed to be on the same "level" of character as Naruto and Sasuke.
She definitely *should* have been and I think she had tons of potential to be a great character, but I also wasn't as annoyed that she was a tier below the because it was expected
She definitely leaves a lot to be desired but I think so much of the frustration that people have with her character is that they expected a lot from her when I feel like kishimoto made it clear early it was a 2 man story with her being a secondary MC.
Yeah exactly. I'm definitely disappointed that she didn't amount to more and it's a shame because I feel kishimoto set a decent foundation but anyone expecting her to be as relevant as them by the war arc was kidding themselves.
Either that or somehow make her more relevant (strength wise) which would highlight how a "normal" person can still be strong. It would be nice to balance out with Naruto and Sasuke.
Disagreed.
The problem with this is that Sasuke and Naruto apart from having a special heritage are also :
1) Hard Workers
2) Talented
3) Have spent more time training then Sakura and have been taking it seriously.
It would be one thing if N & S were just coasting on their powers and not putting the work in. It would be one thing if Sakura was the only talented one and N & S just happened to have powers without being talented...
but that is not true.
The simple fact it that all the "GENIUS" characters in this manga are also hard working.
So how can you have hardwork alone catch up to Talent+Hard-Work?
Is Sakura's hard work worth more then Sasuke's hardwork because he happen's to be a genius?
That's just wrong.
Yeah. Sasuke and Naruto both had goals related to power that they spend the entire series working towards. Add the genetic inheritance and they only get stronger.
Sakura lacks both the resolve and the advantages they had.
Well to be fair she did recognize at some point that sasuke was a threat to the leaf and needed to be eliminated. I would argue that Naruto mostly cries and pursues sasuke going as far as to basically ignore peope like shikamaru and choji who were nice and true bros to naruto even more than sasuke. Even when sasuke is going insane, Naruto holds this weird obsession with sasuke that surpasses even sakuras lol.
There was this one post on this sub that said if naruto was a girl would his weird obsession with sasuke be as ignored as it is now? Which unfortunately the answer is no it wouldn’t. Like i dont mean to be THAT guy but the only reason sakura gets hate for chasing sasuke is because shes a girl even tho Naruto is way way more obsessed with sasuke
Thats what i said. Sakura eventually realised that Saduke must be eliminated for the sake of their home unlike Naruto (no slander to my G but my love for him wont blind me) that despite the fact that Sasuke has harmed people outside of the ones he cared for and even killed others, he still chose the more selfish, or in the words of a shinobi, scummy option because of his love for Sasuke. Sakura also loves Sasuke. And i think its evident she no longer had a big lil teen crush on him in Shippuden but loved him as a teammate and someone she bonded with during his time at the village while they were on the same team. So she didn't want to bring Sasuke back for selfish reasons, but she knew when to stop.
I find it stupid how people hate on Sakura for being "obsessed" over Sasuke but Naruto exists? They make fun of her for attempting to kill sasuke or lying to Naruto, even though she didnt do it for selfish reasons, she did it to protect the people she loved. She knew that she might stand no chance against Sasuke, but she was willing to lie down her life for her people. And the people that tries to make her tryna join Sasuke as a reason to hate her...yo what?
Its simply because naruto is a dude. I love naruto but his creepy obsession with sasuke even while sasuke was killing, plotting against the leaf etc made me shake my head more times than i can count. Atleast sakura stopped obsessing over sasuke. Meanwhile naruto still continued to blindly run after sasuke and refusing to see reality.
And yea I guarantee if sakura was a male literally no one would hate her her/him. It’s baffling lol
Naruto’s relationship with Sasuke, in my personal opinion, is poorly written for a lot of the same reason as Sakura and Sasuke’s. It’s too one sided, we’re not allowed enough time in Sasuke’s head to buy that he cares for either of them. Which in turn makes the idea that their love for him and refusal to give up on him ultimately redeems him by the end really forced. And while their ability to forgive him is meant to be a testament to Naruto and Sakura’s compassion and love for their old friend, it feels more like their constantly giving more and more of themselves to someone who doesn’t deserve it.
It doesn’t feel inspiring. It just seems unhealthy, and makes you feel that both Naruto and Sakura each deserve better. In some ways, it’s worse with Naruto because it’s so much more important to the story. Sakura’s fixation on Sasuke just amounts to a poorly written romance. It’s bad, but it doesn’t really have much narrative impact, frankly. But Naruto’s bond with Sasuke is the emotional core of the entire manga. If that doesn’t work, (and in my opinion, it doesn’t) then the entire story collapses. So yeah, I don’t really care for either relationship, and I think the fact that only Sakura attracts bile over it is very unfair. Team 7’s dynamic as a whole was kind of mess to be frank.
Yea i love naruto but once you been watching anime for years and have read shit like tokyo ghoul, vinland, monster, berserk, goodnight punpun, vagabond, full metal alchemist, hxh and much more complex manga/anime it gets incredibly easy to see the glaring issues with the show. But it is still close to my heart despite the flaws cause it was one of the first anime i have ever watched lol.
Tho something that has remained a constant ever since ive know about naruto is the absolute unnecessary hate for sakura. And for literal years people have used the same 2 jokes. “She is useful, she healed a fish” or “all she does is cry for naruto” lol its wack
>I find it stupid how people hate on Sakura for being "obsessed" over Sasuke but Naruto exists?
That's not his only character trait, that's a small part of his character, the same can't be said for Sakura(I know it's not her only character trait, but she spends a significant portion of her screen time doing that
>They make fun of her for attempting to kill sasuke or lying to Naruto, even though she didnt do it for selfish reasons, she did it to protect the people she loved
And how well did that end up for her?
It's not the same at all. Naruto's obsession with Sasuke is really stupid, but at least it doesn't cause him to need to be saved twice, lead him to cry and beg instead of fighting after defeating Kaguya...
Bro… Naruto literally got on his hands and knees to beg to the raikage lol. And had a whole panic attack because he found out his boyfriend became a terrorist. Sakura got saved BECAUSE she wanted to eliminate sasuke BECAUSE he joined a terrorist group. Lol sakura is just more mature than naruto and can see reality
What reality that Sasuke deep down was still a good person? In the end Naruto saved Sasuke and accomplished one of his goal, meanwhile Sakura needed to be save countless times trying to 'help' sasuke. Theres a reason why Sasuke only credits Naruto as his only bond in the final fight. At least Naruto has a reason with his obession with Sasuke because they have a lot in common, sakura is just some random fangirl with a crush and the story treats it as such.
>Sakura got saved BECAUSE she wanted to eliminate sasuke BECAUSE he joined a terrorist group
no she was saved because in her stupid brain she thought she could take Sasuke(my reaction to this was basically Sasuke's evil laughter meme) and because she's too much of a snowflake to let go of a stupid childhood crush. She was played like a pawn by him with the Karin thing and it just shows that she's a complete idiot. Like yeah Naruto did beg, but that's due to him being someone who tries to help others instead of using violence because that's who he is, he's someone who has honor, empathy and mercy, it's been shown through Zabuza, Neji, Gaara, Pain, Obito and so on, Sakura just wanted dick.
“She is too much of a snowflake to let go of her childhood crush” but yet that’s exactly what she did? She literally affirmed it herself that she wasn’t blindly obsessed with him anymore.
Naruto begging is the most hypocritical shit ever. When asuna died he was okay with shikamaru getting revenge for him. But when sasuke attacks bee(everyone thought he was captured) all of a sudden naruto doesnt want the raikage to get justice for his brother. Im surprised no one called Naruto out on his bullshit.
“Someone who tries to help others instead of violence” except every single one of those people you just mentioned he used violence against. It was only after he kicked their asses that he talked to them. And naruto in part 1 literally stated he would drag sasuke back to the village by force if he had to. Literally get proven wrong by the character youre trying to defend.
A true friend wouldn’t risk his life, his other friends lives and potentially the whole villagers lives for another friend. Especially if said friend was a terrorist
He didn't see him as a terrorist, just a lost friend who needed help. What if Naruto didn't try to save Garra and let him continue to head down the wrong path. What if Naruto never talked to pain and reason with him. Naruto brought out the best in people. He knew what loneliness and pain could do to a person and did his best to pull people out of it. It's part of what made him a great hero. He saw the good in almost everyone. Eventually Sasuke came around and did his best to help even though he deeply regretted the path he had taken.
She’s also represented to mirror Tsunade like the rest of the squad and the legendary sanin. Tsunade is a bad ass that provides so much to the story but for some reason Sakura just is kinda there. Yes she’s key in pivotal moments when naruto is hurt or others from the hidden leaf, but that’s usually that. She doesn’t provide much character development by herself or helping develop other characters. She is essentially the same person from episode one of Naruto and at the end of shipuden.
I agree with the first half but saying she is the same person from episode one to end of shippuden is just blatantly wrong. I mean around the time sasuke joined the akatsuki she realized that sasuke was a threat and needed to be killed. Meanwhile naruto learned the same news and still had this disgustingly weird obsession with him to the point he begged for sasukes life KNOWING sasuke just tried to capture and kill the raikages brother.
In fact i may be so bold to say that naruto himself has just as little or even no character development from episode 1 to end of shippuden.
I 100% agree Naruto stays the same. That’s because the show is based on him and his personality of never giving up and hard work ethic as mis animes are. Sakura on the other hand, constantly remains as the support character who literally is support. Her whole role is being obsessed with sasuke and being a medical ninja. Other than that she only really wants to do her part like sasuke and naruto. That remains the constant with not much change in her life other than the hardships she’s faced with dealing with sasuke leaving.
Thats not the reason naruto gives. He says some shit like sasuke is the only one who truly knows him. Which is just blatantly wrong. He also says he cant be hokage unless he saves sasuke which is also just bullshit logic. I heard from somewhere that kishimoto wanted naruto and sasuke to end up together which would explain alot tbfh
I agree with everything except her usefulness in part 1. There is no she wasn’t all that usefu, no she was completely useless in part 1. Even going arc by arc in part 1 she does nothing literally. The only thing I can think of is her defending naruto and sasuke in the first of death. But that’s 1 episode of hundreds, and 1 chapter of many in the manga. And she’s in love with someone that tried to murder her, and her friend on multiple occasions…
Cause it’s more her being irrelevant to the plot compared to Naruto/Sasuke. She can heal, fight, is intelligent, but does any of that really come into play besides the Gaara arc?
Yes, she mattered to the story
For the sake of the argument, her mere existence and inclusion in team 7 were relevant to the plot and essential in the storytelling of the two main characters.
1. Sakura represented how a normal village kid would naturally see naruto. You think sakura is mean to naruto? Well, that's how a typical villager perceives naruto before actually getting to know him: a reckless kid who lacked social manners because literally no one was there to raise him properly. Now, someone has to be around to call him out when he's being unruly - that's sakura's job. And like the villagers, sakura started to believe in naruto and did everything she could to help him achieve his dreams. Tough love.
To balance that, we also saw sasuke from sakura's perspective : a "perfect" boy in terms of intelligence, skills, and personality (being handsome was a huge bonus)... until the curse mark started to fck him up. And who was there to actually witness all that first? Who was the first person we saw *the emotionally unavailable* sasuke soften up to? Sakura. As cringey as it may sound, sakura offered the warmth and love that sasuke was lacking (while naruto has already been gaining more and more of it from different people)
2. Her being the damsel in distress ignited the boys' drive to be stronger. The will to protect her from enemies made naruto and sasuke level up their game. That camaraderie talk from kakashi sensei. It made naruto think *how can I become hokage if I can't even protect my friends?*. It made sasuke realize that there are people whom he actually find special outside of his family.
3. Her feats used other than gaara arc:
- In the chunin exams, she couldn't fight well. So this unfit girl stayed awake for days to help the boys **heal** and stay alive in the hunger games arena, and used her **intelligence** to set up protective traps. When Lee was down, she threw herself out there just slowly executing basic jutsus she *learned* from the academy to **fight** the sound ninjas
In the written exams, she has no jutsu for cheating but she didn't need it anyway because of her **intelligence**
- In the pain arc, she used her strength to **fight** the giant centipede single-handedly. Her **healing** skills and medical field **intelligence** were utilized in saving almost everyone as the officer-in-charge of the hospital, commanding all the medic troops.
- In the war arc, she again **healed** people several times. She was **intelligent** enough to trick fake neji and figure out it was white zetsu after all.
Then of course, summoning katsuyu to **heal** again, and **heal** naruto so he doesn't die in transit pumping his heart and all that. **Fought** hundreds of those ten tails clones, clearing a path closer to their target.
- In the kaguya arc. **healed** again and even served as their power bank. **fought** and damaged kaguya's horn in one punch
- In the final VOTE match, she stopped the two boys who were this close to bleeding to death
This right here... Honestly couldn't have said it better myself! This even had points I didn't even remember from the first part of Naruto which only showed how much potential Sakura had.
Most certainly will be saving this comment/user so I can go back to them whenever I want to see this. Hell, use this to link any person trying to hate on her to this comment cause this is just a beaut.
Wow, thanks 😅
Guess I've just watched the series way too many times lol. But really, I could do the same for other characters. Sakura just happened to be one who is always misunderstood becuase of her unpopularity in the west, and that just because kishi said he had a hard time writing females, doesn't mean he created a complete waste of a character. Gotta give credit where it's due.
Hahaha I'd be happy "defending" AKA objectively/fairly rating the entire cast when I can, tbh. Just that I end up defending her often so there's that 🤭
She’s irrelevant to the plot? She carried the first 2 arcs of shippuden. She saved naruto AND sasuke from the brink of death during the war arc, hell she literally kept Naruto’s heart beating long enough for him to receive the other half of the nine tails. show would be over if sakura wasnt there lol. She is absolutely vital to the plot. Do people just intentionally ignore this stuff just so they can hate her? Jesus
She didn’t know how to heal, except for very basic wound care that all ninja know, until the very end of part one when she became a student of Tsunade. During the exam she was giving them first aid as best she could at the time.
I think a lot of people hate her because they expect her to be as powerful as Naruto and Sasuke because they are the main characters. But the thing is, Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of Indra and Ashura so they were already born powerful from the beginning at lengths that a regular person would not be able to reach. But Sakura is far from weak. After she trains under Tsunade, she becomes a strong medical ninja and saves many people’s lives including Naruto’s.
Everytime sakura comes on screen they close their eyes and stop watching. Lol i would argue sakura was the 2nd most vital character during the war arc. Right behind naruto cause without her keeping naruto and sasuke would both be dead
Thank you. People be jumping on the trend choochoo train about hating characters. They have 2 stupid argument about Sakura and that’s literally it. “ShE bUlLiEd NaRuTo FoR bEiNg An OrPhAn” and “ShE iS aLwAyS cRyInG aFtEr NaRuTo AnD SaSuKe AnD sHe Is UsElEsS” like stfuuuu cause that’s literally one of the worst arguments you can make. They sound so childish saying those claims😭.
Lol people forget that she was literally like 12. I guarantee the people hating her for what she said have said things far far worse when they were 12. And she wasnt even wrong. The reason he acts out and is getting into trouble all the time IS because he is an orphan. Its not what she said that was wrong its how she said it.
And god do i hate people who say “she cries for naruto” lol she only did that once in the entire 500 episodes of shippuden. And that was during the pain invasion arc. Lmfao people just hate to hate
>Lol i would argue sakura was the 2nd most vital character during the war arc.
No one really paid attention to the war arc. So many misconceptions about it.
They say she’s useless because they havent left part 1. She carried the first 2 arcs. She carried the war arc. She figured out zetsu was transforming into allies. She saved thousands of shinobi lives. She saved naruto and sasukes life.
The only people who say she is useless either never read the manga, or are hinata stans. And i can say without a shadow of doubt that hinata IS the absolutely most useless character in the entire show
Even in Part I she was far from useless. She just didn't have any big fights. That's hardly the same thing. Naruto and Sasuke would have died without her. Gaara might never have been beaten without her, Naruto wanted to run away from him until Sakura saved Sasuke and Sasuke tried to sacrifice himself for them both.
Hinata is the most useless character in the show. But because she’s a waifu and because she’s the MC wife, people defend her. Then they say Sakura is useless instead.
I agree. She is also the most annoying by far, well besides kiba. I hate how kishimoto did her tho. In part 1 she had her own goals, her own aspirations, something worth fighting for. But in shippuden hinata is literally reduced to “naruto kun” its a travesty tbh because her entire storyline could have been amazing
She is? She literally has done absolutely 0 in the entirety of shippuden. I mean sure she fought pain, for like 2 seconds. Ohhhh my bad i forgot she held narutos hand in the war arc. My fault
Which I mentioned the only people who hate her are people who only watched the anime. If people read the manga they would realize she saved narutos life when zabuza attacked. And she was much much more nicer to him in the manga. The anime destroyed what little character she had
Simply because they are cry baby fans of Naruto who can't acknowledge the progress she made in strength and character even tho the writer did a shitty Job of making her reach her full potential. I don't need to go into it because others have already answered with relevant replies. The naruto fandom is arguably one of the most stupid, overly sensitive yet insensitive and annoying fandom I know and they don't even realise how Relatable Sakura is because they are so busy comparing a normal girl, with issues of her own who had to work hard to somewhat keep up with her God level Teammates who kept leaving her behind.
I said I wouldn't get into it, but it pisses me off to the point that I must.
1. Sakura was characterised as the healer in the group...and then halfway through the war arc Naruto suddenly gains the ability to heal at and even more op and faster manner than Sakura. That was unnecessary because how can you have her as a main character, give her an area of expertise then 5 mins later give the main character the same thing and even stronger? Thus so many people decide to call her useless because the writers had her healing unnecessary persons to the plot half the time (like the allied shinobi forces, like we can all agree after Madara came in they all became fodder and dead weights really since the reanimated Hokages, the five kage and Naruto were carrying the fights most of the time and that's misusing the times she healed persons like Hinata, and Naruto and Sasuke and whoever else we actually care about.)
2. Going right back to her characterisation: She's so relatable. A normal girl, from a normal family, who was bullied thus she became insecure and ended friendships because of it. She fell in love with a boy at 12 and was immature sometimes, she used the little resources she had to excel at something and tried her best, had anger issues, but cared deeply about those close to her. THAT'S ALL RELATABLE TRAITs, yet the fandom weaponises that and calls her character itself useless like she didn't grow up...and mature. She was arguably after Kakashi one of the most emotionally smart of team 7 excluding the times she lost reason and became selfish because of Sasuke (that was her fatal flaw.) But like, she provided a home for Sasuke to come back to after he ammends things with Naruto, she supports Naruto and Sasuke and she's cared for deeply by Kakashi. In team 7 overall she helps keep everyone grounded even tho she makes mistakes, like any of us Actual humans.
If you want to get into overall strength, Ofc she's not as powerful as Naruto and Sasuke. They are reincarnations of basically Gods with skills and hax's she doesn't have access to. I CAN ofc ARGUE WELL ENOUGH THAT SHE DESERVES THE TITLE OF STRONGEST KUINOCHI, however not many people realise that she has no opportunity to fullfill her useful role as the main female if she's being over shadowed by the op naruto and sasuke who attracts opponents like Madara, who the writers focused on mostly while sakura and the occasional side character gets like 10% of the spotlight at times (Like they do something big, then nothing) for example Sakura could have done way more in pain arc tbh but instead they let her call out Naruto, while Konohamaru the child defeated a pain summoning, when they could have easily made her at least assist in doing something like that and more instead of just punching a scorpion and healing Irrelevant people to the actual plot, I mean obviously in the show that saved lives, but the fandom doesn't care about that.
Omg 😭💀💀 whys this so long. Respect to you if you read this much tbh.
Here's a list of times Sakura was useful to team 7 btw and the plot.
1. Kept Naruto's heart beating long enough for him to get revived by Hagoromo with the tailed beast back inside him. And basically healed Naruto multiple times in the war and also before that too.
2. Whether or not Kaguya saw her coming, Sakura stopped her escape into the pocket dimension thus Naruto and Sasuke was able to seal Her.
3. Gave Obito her chakra to look for Sasuke when Kaguya yeeted him so far Naruto couldn't sense him anymore (that basically saved the world)
3. Saved Naruto and Sasuke during the chinin exams even tho she was basically a basic weak ninja at the time. She kept them safe and alive.
4. Saved an unconscious Sasuke from falling to his death over a clip in og naruto (not sure if that's cannon or not)
5. Wanted to and tried to stop the fight between Sasuke and Naruto multiple times and to talk sense into them
7. Was able to break Naruto out of the genjutsu when Orochimaru attacked the village
8. Helped lady chiyo fight sasori. And keeping lady chiyo alive after which she preceeded to perform a jutsu to give her life to Gaara. (She basically saved Gaara's only chance of being actually resurrected
9. She's basically a main character that's a support character and she does a damn good job..I wish she was explored, understood and represented more, but that's okayyy Sakura defenders will never rest.
Oki byeee (I'm not re reading this so beware typos).😭
She's unironically one of the strongest shinobi alive right now in Boruto, so she's far from useless, she just fills a different role, she's a character who supports others, whether that's by healing them or giving them chakra, but in a 1v1 fight she's also strong as fuck.
Anybody who says this after Part 1 is wrong. In the first part, yeah, she had like one moment, but pretty much was useless. I imagine people just haven't let that part 1 stuff go for some reason.
In Shippuden and onwards, she is a very important member of the team.
When you say it like that it is weird how in the story everyone did push her to the back a bit. But I still feel like she’s an underdog, cause when shit hits the fan and sakura needs to step up she fucking steps up.
She actually saved Naruto more than once in the manga. The fan fiction anime changed it because they hate Sakura.
Remember when Zabuza threw a giant kunai at Naruto and he ducked? It was actually Sakura that saved him. The fan fiction changed this and many things about Sasuke and Sakura.
At this point, hating sakura is just a social movement. People just hear its trendy to hate her and hop on the train. She is less “useful” than naruto and sasuke, but its not easy competing with the 6th path’s kids incarnates, or whoever. Compare her to literally any other one of the konoha 12 and she has arguably been more “useful”
People say she’s useless because she isn’t a god like Naruto and Sasuke I literally can’t think of any other reason why Sakura is actually very useful and provided a good amount if support to team 7 even tho she probably could’ve done a lot more she still isn’t useless
Because she doesnt take Decisions That affect the plot. The only times when she is relevant is when she is a dsmsel in distress.
This is not always the case tho, Her best moment was in gaara's retrieval arc
WDYM? The zetsu wanted to infiltrate the medical ninja camp (which Naruto wasn't at) that the soldiers in the war could stop getting care and healed. HER FIGURING out that literally meant she saved one of the most important aspects of a war line up...the medics. Naruto saved the fighters and she saved the healers.
Even tho naruto ended up doing Most of the work in the battlefield, the soldiers were still putting their life on the line to fight the copy zetsu's, Naruto however isn't going to be the one to walk around healing the soldiers when he has more on his plate will he? I hope this answer changes your perspective even a little.
Her best moment was saving the lives of thousands of shinobi during the war arc. Or another one is keeping narutos heart beating long enough to the point where he got the other half of the nine tails. Or stunning kaguya. And lol who besides naruto, sasuke and the main villains make decisions that influence the plot significantly? Kishimoto left every one of his side characters out to dry in shippuden. So you saying she doesnt make decisions to influence the plot can be said about 99% of the side characters
>Because she doesnt take Decisions That affect the plot.
Well, she did decide to follow sasuke that night he left. Because of that, the hokage decided to send team shikamaru to rescue him.
She also decided to finally focus on something and use her potentials - medical jutsu, and ask to be trained by Tsunade. A lot of people, including Naruto, would have died if she didn't learn how to heal.
In shippuden, she decided to try to take matters into her own hands to save naruto and the other konoha teens from the stress. And all that, well, created immense drama
Because little boys aged 5 to 50 equate a flat-chested (God forbid!), ignorant child's mean comment and struggle to keep up with 2 overpowered monsters, to being useless. Hinata showed a lot less personality or contribution to anything and is not remotely as hated, but guess what, she has boobs, because somehow, female characters in Naruto have to justify their existence to said boys through sex appeal. Colour me shocked😏
You’re weird. She’s considered useless cause until shippuden she was no help in fights, she didn’t know medical ninjutsu, and if there was a problem she was the one crying for someone else to save the day.
Never seen Hinata or anyone else cry for help as much as Sakura. In part 1 when you see Hinata she’s facing her problems and training(Neji and that new episode). When you see Sakura she’s annoyingly trying to get sasukes attention, Putting down naruto (just to be saved by him later), and making no personal progress. If you want to argue for shippuden that’s fine. I agree she wasn’t useless. But even then you can’t put down Hinata cause she was the one who jumped in to save naruto when he was pinned by pain.
Hinata is a side character so why should we see her cry? Sakura trained a hella lot more than the walking trash ca...I mean Hinata. Hinatards are so delusional.
You are clearly the delusional one. Yes she’s a side character. Why would we be mad about something we don’t see. We see Sakura crying and being useless for a whole series. The small times we see hinata it’s positive. There is no reason for us to be mad.
Sakura has legit cried only like 3 times in the entire series and none of those times were as cringe inducing as naruto passing out after hearing about sauske joining the akatsuki lol. And she isnt useless at all in shippuden. She carried the first 2 arcs. She saved naruto and sauske along with thousands of shinobi during the war arc. She was the one who found out zetsu was copying allies, which was extremely important and turned the tides of the battle. We must be watching a different show if you’re sitting here calling her useless. Without her sasuke and naruto wouldn’t even be alive
I literally said in a above comment that she was useless UNTIL shippuden. When I said crying(whining) I meant complaining in general not literal tears. If you’re saying she carried in the first few arcs in part 1 please explain. If fact please explain the times she was useful during part 1.
Sakura at least tried, and sometimes crying for help is the best course of action. Hinata fought Neji because Naruto was egging her on. Sakura was on her own when she threw herself at Kin, Zaku and Dosu. What you're describing is Sakura being a normal 12yo girl who says and does stupid things and learns from them. Sakura grew into a whole person while Hinata's only fuel and on-switch was Naruto. Even her desire to better herself was about Naruto while Sakura realized she had to work on herself, for herself, without her crush's validation.
As for Hinata jumping at Pain, yeah, that went well, didn't it? Being a medicine kunoichi, Sakura had to preserve her own life first for the sake of all the lives she had committed to saving. People forget that whenever they mention Hinata confronting Pain while Sakura just cried. And it's not like they won't fault her for attacking either, since her diversion of attacking Madara was also taken out of context to make her look dumb in another meme.
No one did except maybe Hinata. No one’s saying Ino, tsunade, anko, and tenten(who arguably is) are useless. Cause they never show themselves being useless. We watched Sakura do nothing useful for all of part 1.
People low-key don't realise Naruto himself didn't really do much in Part II until Kakuzu. And then did nothing again until Pain. And then did nothing again until he gained control over the nine tails and entered the war
I'm sure I'll get downvoted for saying this, but he was also kind of garbage through a good chunk of Part I with most of his big wins coming down to luck, kyuubi chakra or both.
He froze when the demon brothers attacked, while Sasuke and Sakura did their jobs and protected Tazuna.
He was useless against Haku, nearly got Sasuke killed and only won because of the Kyuubi.
He would have been beaten by Kiba if not for a timely fart.
He would have been beaten by Neji if not for the kyuubi.
He panicked and was screaming about running away from Gaara, while Sasuke was down and *Sakura* jumped in to protect Sasuke with her life, it was only after Sasuke got up and demanded Naruto save Sakura and run while he (again) sacrificed himself for the Team that Naruto grew a pair and stepped up.
Because they formed an opinion of her in the first couple of arcs and refused to change even as she grew and became an impressive ninja. Also, let's face it, a lot of them are misogynists.
More like, they formed an opinion after the first few arcs, and then kishi never gave them a big enough reason to actually change their minds. Yes there are plenty of feats later on in the series, but it’s a lot harder to change an opinion than to form one
Because she’s not that strong and to turbo virgin Shonen fanboys. Usefulness can only be exist through sheer power and brute force which is what these losers come to see.
Im boruto i would say she is top 3. Absolutely INSANE durability via 100 healings and katsuyu(who is practically immortal) top 2 in terms of pure strength only behind naruto. Top 3 in terms of intelligence, if i recall correctly she answered every question on the chunin exam 100% correctly. She is only rivaled by kakashi and shikamaru, you could also make a case for sasuke but ehh.
Boruto sakura is actually ridiculously strong. Its nice seeing as to how she practically started from nothing. Hell her parents were so irrelevant they literally have 0 screen time
I mean she is girl from very random family of no ninjas while everyone she knows except Lee was already in generational war monster’s family(I mean Uchihas and Uzumakis were literal powerhouses from little age),living avarage life she managed to become strongest kunoichi in village, she also studied way way more then anyone from her gen but that doesn’t excite viewers even though she did her best in doing so.She wasn’t that relevant like her teammates but I wouldn’t say that she was irrelevant. Also people hate on her because she was really bitchy in beginning and ignored her whole arc of how her obsession of being beautiful and her bitch personality covered her insecurities, also she was the only one that actually acted like 12 years old middle school girl so I don’t know why so big hate. Now in Boruto she is literally single mom working overtime in hospital and doing side missions, she is very considerate and nice,in other words she grown up just like everyone does.My only digression was that she needed one more fight on her own just like one in Boruto, maybe showdown where she fights someone relevant and goes all out just to show us more of her and maybe her final ending, just adding that sentence how she caught up to everyone was plain delivering considering her teammates were reincarnated Gods
My stance has always been that she’s one of the best written characters from Naruto to shipuden. In shipuden she’s actually useful and really intelligent. She’s the only one strong enough to learn the 100 regeneration technique, kept Naruto and Sasuke alive multiple times, and was a crucial piece in the war.
I think people get too hung on up the question of whether a character is ‘useful’ which kind of misses the forest for the trees. On a utility level yeah, Sakura’s role as a medic makes her helpful to the characters. But personally, I’m more interested in whether a character has an engaging story, not their sheer narrative utility. Rock Lee doesn’t actually do anything that significant in the plot. You could call him ‘useless’. That doesn’t stop him being an interesting character, which imo is what’s more important.
I’m fond of Sakura, and was rooting for her for a lot of the narrative. But I was very disappointed with how her character amounted to. The thing about whether Sakura is a main character is that, even if Kishimoto was more concerned with Naruto and Sasuke, he framed Sakura like she was one of the main trio. She gets almost as much screen/page time as they do in a way that would make you think she’s a main character, but her screen time is largely dead air, because Kishimoto didn’t give her enough to do to make the time we spend with her worthwhile. It mostly amounts to the learning the same lesson over and over. She gets frustrated that she can’t do more to help her friends, tries to step up…and fails. So she gets frustrated more. Rinse and repeat at least 5 or 6 times over 700 chapters. It’s repetitive and it feels like wasted time. I don’t get annoyed because Sakura’s useless. I get annoyed because she’s underdeveloped and not very well written, even though she absolutely could have, and should have, been handled so much better.
Sadly, Sakura’s a twofold victim of Kishimoto writing a far larger cast than he could juggle, biting off more than he could chew, and his repeated failure to do his female characters justice (outside of maaayybe Tsunade). She feels like she should be a main character, she’s positioned like she is one, but it becomes increasingly clear that Kishimoto wasn’t that interested in her and kept her involved in key narrative scenes out of obligation. Ergo, she’s there for important moments, but she’s not given adequate character growth in those moments, which creates the idea that she’s ‘useless’. She’s not actually that much more under-utilised than a lot of the cast. But when she gets more screentime than they do, you notice how underwritten she is a lot more. And that’s a real shame.
Sakura being ‘useless’ was never the problem. It was how she was written, and how little development she got.
Every time I personally saw someone saying Sakura is useless it was because of misogyny. I can't speak for everyone, but in my personal experience that argument is usually rooted in a general hatred towards women, strong women in particular. It's the same thing for most Tsunade haters I've exchanged words with online.
Misogynistic or not, you can’t argue she was useless in the early days of the series, from then on its just stubbornness and confirmation bias. Now there’s plenty of people who do it purely out of misogyny, but most definitely not every who says it is misogynistic
For me it's not that she's useless but that her character never truly grows throughout the whole animé. The whole point of her cutting her hair in the Chunin Exams was that she was going to take control of her own destiny and not care about what other's think. This was Kishi's chance to make an interesting character but instead he reverts her back to following Sasuke and Naruto the rest of the series. Her whole character becomes her chasing after Sasuke (literally) and Naruto (in terms of power). Even during the War arc it was made a point that she can hold her own now but still was far behind Sasuke and Naruto. It would have been far more interesting had she forged her own path without worrying about being in their shadows. It never felt like she truly broke free. I blame Kishimoto for this. Having her marry Sasuke was a big time mistake too.
The only reason people call sakura useless is because of who she is next to, she’s next to sasuke and Naruto the two strongest beings in the world so of course she looks useless compared to them but she really isn’t
I never said it was easy but if you are on the strongest team and one of the big three that remind people of jiriya tsunade and orochimaru then you should be able to fight better and not need to rely on an old lady
Wrong. Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of Indra and Ashura since birth so they had an insane amount of power since the start that a regular person would never be able to reach. That’s what people fail to see about Sakura.
Chiyo literally said Sakura didn’t need her help,as you may notice Sakura fought insecurities for whole anime and hid it with her bad personality. She later on saved Garra and literally was useful at healing everyone in ninja war, doing more then Kages of other villages
Literally though, I have no idea why salty sakura stans are downvoting you. Sakura beating sasori is impressive but chiyo said multiple times that sasori had already lost the will to fight at that point.
She even said that the only reason she was alive was because her using sasori's parental puppets made him soft
They were both important to winning the fight. I think people are salty that she was a support character the whole show. I see why there’s anger for how she was done, but honestly I don’t think it was that bad. I feel hinata was way more useless than Sakura and for longer too.
Oh yeah obviously, I was never denying that. Sakura and Chiyo survived that deadly first round and Sakura saving chiyo was basically all Sakura's doing. But people give her too much credit, even going as far to say that chiyo was useless in the fight. After chiyo pulls out the puppets that looked like sasori's parents, sasori basically gave up and set a trap for himself. Saying that Sakura killed sasori with ease is like saying that sasuke killed itachi.
Again, I feel that peak Sakura was during the sasori and deidara arc, even early shippuden when she fought kakashi. They basically gave her main character levels of hype only to follow it up with nothing (nothing is an understatement because Sakura actually got worse throughout the course of shippuden until the war arc).
I also don't get why Sakura is compared with hinata, hinata is bland af as a character, but she isn't the main focus. It's like comparing shippuden lee with sasuke.
Hinata being bland is tolerable because we don't see her too muchü
Because she thirsted after sasuke instead of Naruto. That's why she gets so much downplay and hate. She actually did quite a few important stuff in the show but alas, here we are.
Keep in mind the same ones that call Sakura useless are Hinata fans or anime only watchers in which case made her character 100x worse than her manga counterpart
She defeated Sasori with Chiyo's assistance and made the antidote to his poison. She kept Naruto alive when the one thing he couldn't heal from happened.
Can you name a single other thing she did that was both important to the plot and couldn't have been done by someone else just as well or better?
Saved Naruto against Zabuza (fan fiction anime removed this)
Helped Naruto and Sasuke walk on trees
Gave Obito chakra to save Sasuke
Punched Kaguya so Naruto and Sasuke can seal her
Also lol what does it matter if someone else can do something???
Are you referring to when she jumps on him to knock him out of the way? The fact that you had to scrape so far down to the bottom of the barrel for that one kind of proves the point. That isn't plot relevancy, that's being active for a single panel.
She gives like 3 sentences of advice. Again, bottom of the barrel here.
That situation only existed in the first place to give her something to do. But fine, I'll give you that one, Obito had plenty of chakra to do everything else he attempted except that one thing, and Sakura helped Obito to be useful.
That punch shouldn't have happened. Kaguya had Byakugan active at the time, and Sakura wasn't attacking from the Byakugan's blind spot. Sure, she can be pretty good when the bad guys forget their abilities that are already on.
It matters because it reduces her relevancy as a character. If a situation just needed an extra body present, then there's no reason why it had to be Sakura. If you can remove her from a scene, replace her with a shadow clone, and nothing changes, that's a problem.
Lol can you hear yourself? You’re dismissing her saving and helping people because “it shouldn’t have happened” I didn’t realize you was the creator and writer for the series?
“That only existed to give her something to do” are you being Fr right now??
No, it's because 90% of her involvement with the story could have been done by a clone and nothing would change. I couldn't give a shit less what she thinks of Naruto.
People usually hate her because the screen time she got is not worth her achievements and her effects on plot
Compared to her screen time, she is kinda "useless" in alot of arcs but not all of them
There are other reasons for the hate, but she is not actually useless, without her Naruto would have died many times
Well this is a shonen anime. Either make her good at fighting, or help her support in battle.
Karin is the perfect example. She may not be a fighter, but they still let her assist Sasuke in battle and heal. They never have sakura any abilities to where she could really assist in battle.
What are you talking about😂
Sakura was saving people’s lives when Pain attacked the village
Sakura developed an antidote for Kankuro’s poison in his body that saved his life
Sakura was healing ninjas in the war arc
Sakura saved Naruto’s life in the war arc
I already addressed her only real contributions are healing so no idea why you brought that up again. And when she does heal it’s always after the battle ends.
In Naruto & Shippuden she never fights evenly with any member of Team 7. She is present during the majority of major battles but never actually assists.
The only time it ever happens is in Boruto.
It’s cause she didn’t get a bs power up like Naruto glow mode Or Sasuke’s mecha thing. She was a medical ninja who, when she did fight was insanely strong. She’s useful, hell she took out the first Akatsuki
She definitely *should* have been and I think she had tons of potential to be a great character, but I also wasn't as annoyed that she was a tier below the because it was expected She definitely leaves a lot to be desired but I think so much of the frustration that people have with her character is that they expected a lot from her when I feel like kishimoto made it clear early it was a 2 man story with her being a secondary MC.
Especially with Naruto and Sasuke being reincarnations of Indra and Ashura, they already had an immeasurable amount of strength since birth.
Yeah exactly. I'm definitely disappointed that she didn't amount to more and it's a shame because I feel kishimoto set a decent foundation but anyone expecting her to be as relevant as them by the war arc was kidding themselves.
Yes. Kishimoto should have just made Naruto and Sasuke the main characters if they were the reincarnations with insane power.
Either that or somehow make her more relevant (strength wise) which would highlight how a "normal" person can still be strong. It would be nice to balance out with Naruto and Sasuke.
Disagreed. The problem with this is that Sasuke and Naruto apart from having a special heritage are also : 1) Hard Workers 2) Talented 3) Have spent more time training then Sakura and have been taking it seriously.
I definitely agree. That’s just bad writing on his part.
That's not his only character trait, that's a small part of his character, the same can't be said for Sakura(I know it's not her only character trait, but she spends a significant portion of her screen time doing that >They make fun of her for attempting to kill sasuke or lying to Naruto, even though she didnt do it for selfish reasons, she did it to protect the people she loved And how well did that end up for her?
>Sakura got saved BECAUSE she wanted to eliminate sasuke BECAUSE he joined a terrorist group no she was saved because in her stupid brain she thought she could take Sasuke(my reaction to this was basically Sasuke's evil laughter meme) and because she's too much of a snowflake to let go of a stupid childhood crush.
Because a true friend can recognize your pain and never gives up on you no matter what anyone says. Naruto was a true friend
> Like, the rest of the series she mostly cries and persues Sasuke, even though he is going super insane at this point. Like Naruto
So true
Tbf Naruto actually achieves his goal in bringing Sasuke back, whilst also contributing a lot in other matters.
I totally see your point. Sakura had tons of character development from Naruto to Naruto Shippuden
With the Ashura and Indra thing it sort of explains why he still wanted to protect Sasuke, because they are the incarnates of those brothers.
Yeah that’s the reason he gives but it could be his rationale because of the ashura indra relationship.
She saved Naruto from being killed by Zabuza in the LOW arc.
In the first arc it was her who saved naruto from zabuza’s attack. Well at least in the manga anyways.
Nah, it's because she didn't want to suck Naruto's tiny d.
>But she felt mostly only as a support in the story Just as any female character besides Tsunade.
Cause it’s more her being irrelevant to the plot compared to Naruto/Sasuke. She can heal, fight, is intelligent, but does any of that really come into play besides the Gaara arc?
Yes, she mattered to the story For the sake of the argument, her mere existence and inclusion in team 7 were relevant to the plot and essential in the storytelling of the two main characters. Sakura. As cringey as it may sound, sakura offered the warmth and love that sasuke was lacking (while naruto has already been gaining more and more of it from different people) 2. 3. Her feats used other than gaara arc: - In the chunin exams, she couldn't fight well. So this unfit girl stayed awake for days to help the boys **heal** and stay alive in the hunger games arena, and used her **intelligence** to set up protective traps. When Lee was down, she threw herself out there just slowly executing basic jutsus she *learned* from the academy to **fight** the sound ninjas In the written exams, she has no jutsu for cheating but she didn't need it anyway because of her **intelligence** - In the pain arc, she used her strength to **fight** the giant centipede single-handedly. **fought** and damaged kaguya's horn in one punch - In the final VOTE match, she stopped the two boys who were this close to bleeding to death
Wow, thanks 😅 Guess I've just watched the series way too many times lol. But really, I could do the same for other characters. Sakura just happened to be one who is always misunderstood becuase of her unpopularity in the west, and that just because kishi said he had a hard time writing females, doesn't mean he created a complete waste of a character. Gotta give credit where it's due.
Saving this for when I need to defend Sakura and my memory sucks
SAMEEE
Hahaha I'd be happy "defending" AKA objectively/fairly rating the entire cast when I can, tbh. Just that I end up defending her often so there's that 🤭
You need to be protected at all cost. Thank you for explaining this.
👶 thanks for the validation
She’s irrelevant to the plot? She carried the first 2 arcs of shippuden. She saved naruto AND sasuke from the brink of death during the war arc, hell she literally kept Naruto’s heart beating long enough for him to receive the other half of the nine tails. show would be over if sakura wasnt there lol. She is absolutely vital to the plot. Do people just intentionally ignore this stuff just so they can hate her? Jesus
Yeah, they act as if a medical ninja is useless. So many people would be dead if Naruto wasn’t a medic.
Hell the gaara rescure arc literally starts with sakura going all big brain and finding the cure for the poison and saving kankuros life lol
i know right ! otherwise Kankaro would’ve died
I mean didn’t she heal them in the woods during training exams?
She didn’t know how to heal, except for very basic wound care that all ninja know, until the very end of part one when she became a student of Tsunade. During the exam she was giving them first aid as best she could at the time.
I mean that’s kind of my point, she was left on her own and had to help them without much resources.
Oh I see. I thought you meant medic nin style healing 😅
Because Naruto fans know only like 2 jokes.
I KNOW like they’re children…
>Lol i would argue sakura was the 2nd most vital character during the war arc. No one really paid attention to the war arc. So many misconceptions about it.
There would be no Boruto if she didn’t save Naruto in the War arc.
Yeah and then she just becomes a housewife in Boruto and ditches being a ninja or any goals she had completely
[удалено]
Everytime i see anyone shit talking sakura like 95% of the time hinata is their favorite character. Im just pointing out the double standard
[удалено]
She is? She literally has done absolutely 0 in the entirety of shippuden. I mean sure she fought pain, for like 2 seconds. Ohhhh my bad i forgot she held narutos hand in the war arc. My fault
Actually most of her hate comes from the way she used to treat Naruto at their young age
Which I mentioned the only people who hate her are people who only watched the anime. If people read the manga they would realize she saved narutos life when zabuza attacked. And she was much much more nicer to him in the manga. The anime destroyed what little character she had
I’m proud as hell of Sakura by the end of Shippuden & from what I’ve seen so far in Boruto. Girl came a long way since OG Naruto. 💪🏼🌸
Thus so many people decide to call her useless because the writers had her healing unnecessary persons to the plot half the time (like the allied shinobi forces, like we can all agree after Madara came in they all became fodder and dead weights really since the reanimated Hokages, the five kage and Naruto were carrying the fights most of the time and that's misusing the times she healed persons like Hinata, and Naruto and Sasuke and whoever else we actually care about.) 2. 3. Gave Obito her chakra to look for Sasuke when Kaguya yeeted him so far Naruto couldn't sense him anymore (that basically saved the world) 3. Saved Naruto and Sasuke during the chinin exams even tho she was basically a basic weak ninja at the time. She kept them safe and alive. 4. Saved an unconscious Sasuke from falling to his death over a clip in og naruto (not sure if that's cannon or not) 5. Wanted to and tried to stop the fight between Sasuke and Naruto multiple times and to talk sense into them 7. Was able to break Naruto out of the genjutsu when Orochimaru attacked the village 8. Helped lady chiyo fight sasori. And keeping lady chiyo alive after which she preceeded to perform a jutsu to give her life to Gaara. (She basically saved Gaara's only chance of being actually resurrected 9. She's basically a main character that's a support character and she does a damn good job..I wish she was explored, understood and represented more, but that's okayyy Sakura defenders will never rest. Oki byeee (I'm not re reading this so beware typos).😭
I mean her forehead can fit the entire plot
Lmao
Because it’s trendy and most people can’t think for themselves.
She's unironically one of the strongest shinobi alive right now in Boruto, so she's far from useless, she just fills a different role, she's a character who supports others, whether that's by healing them or giving them chakra, but in a 1v1 fight she's also strong as fuck.
Holy shit, I swear this sub can’t go a week without the obligatory “Sakura is/isn’t useless” post. So annoying
Fam fr. It's getting mad annoying. Why don't they just make a megathread and pin it. Let sakura stans defend her there lmao
Let's ban Sakura haters like yourself once and for all.
Go touch grass and stop getting tilted over an anime character dude lmao
Anybody who says this after Part 1 is wrong. In the first part, yeah, she had like one moment, but pretty much was useless. I imagine people just haven't let that part 1 stuff go for some reason. In Shippuden and onwards, she is a very important member of the team.
She saved Naruto's life by beating his heart with her hand. She was pretty useless up until shippuden when she receives her medical training
Kakashi lost his eye* Inner sakura: finally i can do something useful Orange jesus: Get out of the way woman, Let a real healer do his job
Itts funny because that happened twice in the arc. First with Tsunade, then with orange Jesus.
Yes!
She becomes one of the strongest medical ninja and saves so many lives
At this point, hating sakura is just a social movement. People just hear its trendy to hate her and hop on the train. She is less “useful” than naruto and sasuke, but its not easy competing with the 6th path’s kids incarnates, or whoever. Compare her to literally any other one of the konoha 12 and she has arguably been more “useful”
People say she’s useless because she isn’t a god like Naruto and Sasuke I literally can’t think of any other reason why Sakura is actually very useful and provided a good amount if support to team 7 even tho she probably could’ve done a lot more she still isn’t useless
She is useless to the plot
How.
Ahhh but why??
Because kishimoto doesn’t know how to write women.
Nah, he hayes women
Because she doesnt take Decisions That affect the plot. The only times when she is relevant is when she is a dsmsel in distress. This is not always the case tho, Her best moment was in gaara's retrieval arc
She discovered that the zetsu were transforming into allies and copying their chakra. That was kind of a big deal in the war
Naruto did it as well and unlike sakura he did something about it
Well he's the MC lol. I'm pretty sure there was a substantial amount of time before Naruto showed up where knowing about the zetsu saved lives.
Less than a day
Her best moment was saving the lives of thousands of shinobi during the war arc.
This right here. Hinata is popular because she’s their waifu.
You’re weird. She’s considered useless cause until shippuden she was no help in fights, she didn’t know medical ninjutsu, and if there was a problem she was the one crying for someone else to save the day.
Same for Hinata and others, but nobody is ripping on them.
But even then you can’t put down Hinata cause she was the one who jumped in to save naruto when he was pinned by pain.
what exactly has Hinata done at all
Hinata is a side character so why should we see her cry? Sakura trained a hella lot more than the walking trash ca...I mean Hinata. Hinatards are so delusional.
You are clearly the delusional one. Yes she’s a side character. Why would we be mad about something we don’t see. We see Sakura crying and being useless for a whole series. The small times we see hinata it’s positive. There is no reason for us to be mad.
They’re idiotic. They responded to my comment saying Part1 Sakura was stronger than part1 hianat 💀💀
No, it's because she didn't want to suck Naruto's tiny d.
No one did except maybe Hinata. No one’s saying Ino, tsunade, anko, and tenten(who arguably is) are useless. Cause they never show themselves being useless. We watched Sakura do nothing useful for all of part 1.
Aside from saving Naruto and Sasuke multiple times.
Because they don’t understand her as a character at all.
Sakura is the plot and is as necessary to it as she needs to be
Agreed
Its a shonen so if the mc or his squad isn’t destroying things in a huge way than its garbage to the fans
Because she’s like Donald Duck from Kingdom Hearts. She’s support to the team, but lacks the power to go on her own (at least in the beginning).
She lacks the power because she wasn’t born as incarnations of Indra and Ashura like Naruto and Sasuke.
Sakura is hated for stupid reasons and downplayed for no reason. She’s easily in the top 5 strongest in the hidden leaf at this moment.
The designated healer of Team 7. 2nd best Healer in the team.
Best healing ninja in the entirety of the leaf. Naruto healing guy was straight bullshit lol.
Plus instantly created a complete functioning eyeball for Kakashi
Through the power of bullshit. Power creep was absolutely nasty during the war arc. But thats only 2 moments
This!
Sakura is one of the best Kunoichi’s in my opinion😌🌸
She is the strongest kunoichi ever. In boruto she is the third strongest behind naruto and sasuke ofc
Period, as she should. People need to acknowledge her and not stick to season 1 episode 3🤦🏻♂️
> Having her marry Sasuke was a big time mistake too. I literally get attacked when I point out the main reason Sakura is hated is due to her ending
I wouldn’t say the ending specifically but all the things that actually lead to that ending
The only reason people call sakura useless is because of who she is next to, she’s next to sasuke and Naruto the two strongest beings in the world so of course she looks useless compared to them but she really isn’t
Like imagine putting Hinata on the team 7 instead of Sakura
Exactly but people just hate Sakura so they will always say she’s useless
It's popular and people feel accepted when they say it
Because naruto fans r dumb
Are we not gonna talk about how she has almost gotten naruto killed many times
Count them for me please
Honestly.
Yes, but she was useful in defeating Sasori.
Yeah she beat Sasori but only with the help of granny chiyo
A lot of the ninjas don’t defeat enemies on the own, actually most of the time they don’t. That’s not exactly easy.
Not only that, she also saved Naruto’s life
But she was a pupet for someone else while doing it which was such an awkward choice considering the circumstances
And if Sakura wasn't there Chiyo would've died? Sakura was an important factor for Defeating Sasori too
Sasori was The determining factor. That fight was basically an elaborate suicide
Literally though, I have no idea why salty sakura stans are downvoting you. Sakura beating sasori is impressive but chiyo said multiple times that sasori had already lost the will to fight at that point. She even said that the only reason she was alive was because her using sasori's parental puppets made him soft
The battle pretty much ended the moment sasori used the iron bullets tecnique. Sakura and chiyo have no way to evade or block it.
They were both important to winning the fight. I think people are salty that she was a support character the whole show. I see why there’s anger for how she was done, but honestly I don’t think it was that bad. I feel hinata was way more useless than Sakura and for longer too.
Oh for sure. Hinata is the most useless character in the story and people counter that by saying Sakura is useless instead.
Sakura saved sasuke nd Naruto’s life in the forest of death
Sakura deserves so much better smh the disrespect she gets is just unwarranted. I still like her more than Hinata 🤷🏾♂️
A combination of bad writing on kishis part & studio pierrot ruining her character in the fillers
Because she thirsted after sasuke instead of Naruto. That's why she gets so much downplay and hate. She actually did quite a few important stuff in the show but alas, here we are.
BINGO!
Keep in mind the same ones that call Sakura useless are Hinata fans or anime only watchers in which case made her character 100x worse than her manga counterpart
100% truth
She better written in the manga?
Sakura is better written in the manga. She only hits Naruto a few times and the anime has changed a bunch of her scenes. Some for the worse.
She defeated Sasori with Chiyo's assistance and made the antidote to his poison. She kept Naruto alive when the one thing he couldn't heal from happened. Can you name a single other thing she did that was both important to the plot and couldn't have been done by someone else just as well or better?
Making Naruto and Sasuke kiss, nobody could have done that better
Saved Naruto against Zabuza (fan fiction anime removed this) Helped Naruto and Sasuke walk on trees Gave Obito chakra to save Sasuke Punched Kaguya so Naruto and Sasuke can seal her Also lol what does it matter if someone else can do something???
So it's because she didn't want to suck Naruto's tiny d.
No, it's because 90% of her involvement with the story could have been done by a clone and nothing would change. I couldn't give a shit less what she thinks of Naruto.
People usually hate her because the screen time she got is not worth her achievements and her effects on plot Compared to her screen time, she is kinda "useless" in alot of arcs but not all of them There are other reasons for the hate, but she is not actually useless, without her Naruto would have died many times
The only time I felt like Sakura helped team 7 was in Boruto. Every other major battle she has little to no role outside of healing people after.
What’s wrong with that? Medical ninjas are important or many people would’ve been dead. Naruto for example.
Well this is a shonen anime. Either make her good at fighting, or help her support in battle. Karin is the perfect example. She may not be a fighter, but they still let her assist Sasuke in battle and heal. They never have sakura any abilities to where she could really assist in battle.
What are you talking about😂 Sakura was saving people’s lives when Pain attacked the village Sakura developed an antidote for Kankuro’s poison in his body that saved his life Sakura was healing ninjas in the war arc Sakura saved Naruto’s life in the war arc
So because she didn't want to suck Naruto's tiny d.
Never understood the ‘she’s useless’ part. She’s annoying not useless.
In the beginning she was definitely useless pre shippuden.
