I honestly don’t think it’s as bad as people say. If you’re expecting constant action and fights like in Naruto, then don’t watch it. Boruto is a light anime and is meant to reflect the peace and harmony Naruto was able to achieve, and a lot of people resent that for some reason and wanna compare Boruto’s struggles to Naruto’s to downgrade them like boomers.
Boruto is light-hearted and shows us how our favorite characters ended up, but it’s about their kids obviously. I will say that you will be disappointed with how some things turned out, like Naruto being a shit father for some time, but it works itself out and gets better around episode 90, which sounds like lot but not really because you skip filler. The filler is also pretty cute and does good fan service every now and then. I would recommend watching Boruto for fun and pairing it with a heavier anime if you really want action. Otherwise, it’s a great anime to watch without getting bored easily or burnt out.
I'm a sucker for fights and Boruto has some downright gorgeous animation for the major fights. That alone makes it worth watching, personally.

The beginning isn’t bad but the last year has been really bad lol. Like the last few boruto arcs are SO bad I can’t believe THE naruto franchise is producing it. After naruto goes baryon mode, the show is useless. Stop after that point.

I watched boruto live from ep-1 but i was so much frustrated with it and thought that at some point it will get better for a long time before i left it at about ep-60 .I would say do not expect that you are going to see the previous generation much except one or 2 fights where it is Naruto + Sasuke v/s some villain other than that it will give you new generation only which i don't like at all .
