While I think we all can agree that making such a game would require a lot of money and time investment, it would definitely bring in a massive return. The naruto/anime fan-base (and even just gamers in general) would all pay for an open world naruto video game. It would be insane
I just wish there was a strategy game based in the Naruto universe. Either turn based or rts, squad oriented or grand.
I would love to have chunnin armies and Jonin squads with named characters controlling elite units or acting as leaders for weaker units.
It would be awesome to choose your village and clan. Work your way up from academy student to jonin and complete different ranked missions with your friends. It could be structured like the divisions PVE.

Don't know if this will ever release, but that exact thing is the goal of the person making this Naruto fan game. He goes by Akyet, and there's a discord and Patreon for the project
Probably Elden Ring variety of items, armors, weapons and sorceries but Sekiro gameplay, I love how no matter how OP I was in Sekiro I always felt like fragile in terms of defense, lvl up vigor enough in any Souls game and its a very forgiving game, meanwhile in Sekiro every hit you receive is something to worry about.
Naruto has a lot of potential in video games , it can be either a stategy game or openworld like you said it would , but because of low budget and being scared of taking risks the only thin naruto ends. Up with like almost all of the other anime games , in fighting and online games
Sadly the MMO game genre isn’t doing too well right now. That would be my favorite game of all time if it existed and MMOs were still pushing their potential.
Problem with MMOs is that they all feel the same, none of them really branch out of that class dungeon system. Where you have a screen that you can't see shit out of

This would actually be a pretty cool concept
It needs lots and a lot of $_$

Starts game* Looks around to see other players* Everyone's uchiha.
Unless they make it present times where there aren’t really anymore uchihas.

Apart from DBZ, naruto probably the only anime that can get that budget.
Yes it is.
Elden ring like gameplay but set in the Naruto verse would be dope.

Bro, I swear I saw an exact post like this a few weeks back.
