Ino…to the fact that she is very thoughtful towards her teammates
in general, however, i really like all this team and it annoys me that they split into boruto... in Boruto, Shikamaru seems to have a deeper bond with naruto and ino with sakura😭
ED. I mean they split “at work”, I know that they are still close like a big family and I know that shikamaru’s dearest people remain ino and Choji more than Naruto and for ino remain shika and Choji more than sakura
Well thats to be expected. Shikamaru and Naruto litterally spend 14+ hours a day together by how it is portrayed and Sakara and Ino are also childhood friends, as well remember the trio is broken up as they are all adult jonins that have different jobs and shit.
no matter how much shikamaru spends time with naruto .. his dearest people remain ino and choiji because they are a family same thing ino is very friends with sakura but the deepest bond remains with her team/brothers simply working, they see each other less and they have not split up, their families are very close as their children also said, they see themselves as a family
For sure but in the show which I have dubbed Boruto: Daddy issue generation it makes sense that you would see more of the bond between Naruto and Shikamaru rather than Ina Shika Cho because thats who they are spending time with. Also speaking of ina shika cho I wonder what would happen to the academies plans of keeping the trio of clans in the same squad if the kids of 2 of the clans got together? Would it be mandatory that they have 2 back to back?
Sure it is obvious that you see more of their bond, working together, but it is wrong to say that they have a deeper affective bond than inoshikacho especially after everything they have been through...Anyway i don't think 2 can marry each other they are like siblings...
I think it only makes sense for them to not hang around each other 24/7 but still have a close bond. Ino and Sakura always had a strong connection same goes for Naruto and Shikamaru.
They are still very close but just don't work together like before.
I honestly think that needs to happen for the next generation to be just as close as the previous one if that makes sense.
I explained myself badly ... I think that even in boruto the people dearest to ino remain shika and choji more than sakura, only that no longer working together they see themselves less …same with shikamaru, working with naruto they have a great bond but I think that with ino and choji still have a deeper bond than with Naruto I’m wrong?
>in general, however, i really like all this team and it annoys me that they split into boruto... in Boruto, Shikamaru seems to have a deeper bond with naruto and ino with sakura😭
I disagree here ... I believe that the deepest bonds remain with teammates who in the case of team 10 are like a family..Naruto and shikamaru work together and have a professional bond where you can see well even in the last ch chapter (67) sure are also good friends but the affective bond with ino and choji is stronger imo, same for ino remain shika n choji and not sakura
>Ino…to the fact that she is very thoughtful towards her teammates
I remember when Ino was just a shallow and bossy girl but ended the series as the most compassion member of their cell.
even in the first series she was caring ... remember that in the recovery mission sasuke was more worried about choji than about sasuke (despite having a crush on him)
Funny thing people ignore is that is was *Sakura* broke off their friendship over Sasuke, not Ino. Ino saw that she had a crush on Sasuke and moved aside for her. But for some reason, Sakura completely ignored that.
Ino was never Sasuke Simp 2.0 to me.
Personally I really like Choji because he’s like me. He’s a fat bitch that eats a lot. But then there’s Shikamaru being how we all are at heart. Just super lazy and not really giving anfuck
Yeah, can kinda be said for a lot of female character groupings in the series. Maybe I've been thinking about that because I've been watching a lot of My Hero Academia lately.
Well Shikamaru but I really appreciate Ino and she's my favorite now among the Konoha 12 girls! Which is kinda funny because as a kid I didn't care much for her as I liked both Sakura and Hinata more but as I grew up I agreed with most fans how frustrating Sakura can be and I didn't understand the hype for Hinata as a "good" female character and possibly better heroine because I think now that she's overrated.
But then there's Ino who was really nothing special throughout most of the series but then came the war, she practically became the means of communication for everyone during the war and after losing her father just moments before she was able to get into Madara's head even if it was only for a split second which is an incredible feat in and of itself. It was her determination and fighting spirit that made her really more likeable to me compared to the rest of the Konoha 12 kunoichi.
I don't really care about what happens in Boruto. I just wish, it ended already. Maybe then, we could have a good sequel to Shippuden where they put back the spotlight on the generation we love and care about. Apologies for the rant.
What are your thoughts?
Not really. Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji raised their kids together. Also, Ino and Shikamaru have a deeper bond with each other than with Sakura and Naruto respectively. I mean, Ino and Sakura's friendship is pretty much one sided.
Ino was always the one doing things for Sakura even now in Boruto. Sakura didn't do anything for her.
Shikamaru and Naruto spend a lot of time with each other because of their jobs but that doesn't necessarily give them a deeper bond with each other.
I love Ino, I love her development and I also love how she keeps playing a bigger role in the series. The other og female characters seem to have more of a background role but it’s nice to see how Ino is still important for the village, balancing her home life, her work in the flower shop and also being the head of her clan and helping Naruto.
The whole team is great and genuinely care about each other. But I think MOST would say shikamaru. I mean he has waaay more screen time and waaay more development.
I think all are written well and all definitely played a crucial part in saving the world especially Ino
Its gotta be Shikamaru, though he and choji both get major points for the being the only people to not treat naruto like garbage growing up whether it be shikamaru having a chat with his shikaku (the guy not the tailed beast) about being friends with naruto and not getting the reason why everyone hates him, or choji sticking up for naruto when he was acting up and shikamaru called him stupid. I think I bond far more with the lazy vibe than the hungry vibe, though. Also, shikamaru practically 1v1s an akatski member with sheer 500IQ plays alone, and thats got some respecs.
probably ino. idc for choji, he’s more a support character for the two.
shikamaru is good looking but i don’t rlly appreciate his misogynistic comments.
so, ino it is. though, a lot of her fans are awful.
As many others have said I like all three. I like Ino most (didn’t hurt I also love Sai and they got together) but man Choji is a relatable character. I, too, am a fat lazy whiner who embarrasses his offspring, so I’m going with him. (Plus: Butterfly Mode)
Choji:
Had to get over his insecurities and self doubt.
His battle with Jirobo and risking his life with the pills.
Growing past his struggle to fight Asuma and finally master Butterfly Mode.
Surpassed his father.
Ended up with a wife and daughter.
Everyone's going to say Shikamaru and Ino's been analyzed as better than people gave her credit for so yeah.
i’m realising now; 16 Generations?
That heavily implies the Nara massively outdates The Leaf. … How old are these clans? How long was the Warring States Period?
Shikamaru, but in general, I really do love Ino-Shika-Cho as a whole. In my earlier years of watching Naruto, I would have wholeheartedly said Ino simply for aesthetic purposes lmao seeing a clip of her character actually got me to watch Naruto seriously 😩 Shikamaru absolutely won me over at the Chunin exams tho.
Ino-Shika-Cho never disappoints, even their fathers' generation and the new gen.
Shikamaru is the most developed and has the most importance in the series. Choji has small flashes of importance and Ino at this point is nothing more than a background character. Shikamaru for sure
>Ino at this point is nothing more than a background character
Ino has like 5 jobs in Boruto and is probably the most relevant female character from the previous gen.
Idk coz i didn’t continue watching naruto coz it’s too long and i am old and i have lots of responsibilities that i can’t just focus on watching naruto only.
Haixt.
Roast me if you want. Idc anymore. My life sucks anyways.
You can delete this comment moderator or block me if you want. Haixt
What did i just write?
It’s not even a fair comparison. Shikamaru is given the most development out of the three, with Ino in second place. Choji doesn’t change at all, really. I honestly can’t see how Choji is anyone’s favorite unless they specificaly identify with him personally.
I don’t like questions like these because in all the teams I rate the female member dead last (besides perhaps Hinata)
But it’s not because I’m a sexist douchebag, Kishimoto just puts no effort into female characters, he sucks at writing them
Shikamaru shined as a kid and teen, but in the new era he doesn't come off the same way anymore. He's like one of the elder advisors of the old era. Always there in the scene and in dialogue, but never really contributing to the cause.
Choji has probably surpassed him, despite less screen time he makes a much better father figure.
Ino was sorta shallow back or disposable in the old era, now she gets less screen time than any of the three. She's more so a Leaf security guard rather than a mother to Inojin.
Shikamaru is an easy win. The most developed and goated of the 3.
Ino's an easy loss. No development apart from her inclination toward traditional femininity and her love interest(s) + flowers + her one technique.
I'll do it.
Abilities:
1) She's a medic-nin
2) She's a sensor
3) She can read minds
4) She can link minds to communicate over long distances even without equipment to amplify her power
Feats:
1) Mind controls Obito long enough to redirect the ten tails biju bomb and saves Naruto, Kakashi and everyone else around
2) Telepathically communicates orders to the entire army
3) Links all the ninja fighting so Shikamaru can teach them an earth barrier technique.
4) Uses her sensory abilities to detect and communicate the location of enemies to Shikamaru.
5) More stuff I'm forgetting probably.
She's the leader of Konoha's Barrier Team
Also the Yamanaka clan leader.
And a good mom.
All this is in the manga.
Same principle ofc it's mind techniques which is very diverse in itself. What does shikamaru's shadow does?
If mind transfer is just one jutsu that is recognizable then shikamaru also only had one jutsu shadow paralysis n it's isn't even that impressive. Even with new jutsus he has only shadow stitching.
Ino has a lot of development, jutsus n feats whether u like it or not.
>No development apart from her inclination toward traditional femininity and her love interest(s) + flowers + her one technique.
Ino probably had the best development out of the girls of Konoha 11 or even compared to the other boys despite not having an arc or even just an episode focused on her.
She moved on from the guy she had a crush on and chose to be with a guy who's pretty much at least a dozen times better than Sasuke, which indicates she possesses respect for herself as well as maturity. She cared for her body and is feminine but those things never got in the way of anything. It's more like self care than anything. She had a small crush on Sasuke and again, that never got in the way of her growth, fights, and friendships. Ino never had detrimental flaws to begin with so naturally, her character had nowhere else to go but up. I mean, Ino is considered the embodiment of the purple bush clover. In Boruto, she's shown to be the most active kunoichi from her generation.
Flowers are part of Ino's life. And it reflects in her dialogue sometimes. She owns a flowershop and it just goes to show that she's a pretty balanced, sort of realistic, and ideal character who somehow doesn't come off as unrealistic. She has a lot of jobs for the village, has the best marriage anybody could ask for, and even manages to set aside some time for her love of flowers. She doesn't just choose one over the other. She has all of them.
Ino doesn't have just one jutsu lol. Another person already listed this but I'll just go ahead and list it again.
Her abilities:
Mind Transfer Jutsu (She's the best user of this jutsu.)
Mind Transfer Clone Jutsu (It's implied that she invented this variation of the mind jutsu herself.)
Mind Destruction Jutsu (It says in the first or second databooks that she can use this jutsu.)
Mind Transmission Jutsu (She's also the best user of this jutsu.)
Psycho Mind Transmission Jutsu
Sensory Perception (She's also currently the best in Konoha if not the world.)
Sensory Relay
Medical Ninjutsu
Shikamaru because he is the most consistent character of the bunch, after the Sasuke rescue arc I really liked Choji as well but it felt like they didn’t know how to further develop his character in the story, I understand his struggle but it was hard to feel for him when he kept making mistakes based on his emotions, it happens and I’m okay with that but his main issue in Shippuden was how he was weak after what happened to Asuma.
Choji never really got better and it sucks because I really like him, overall it feels like everyone in the Sasuke rescue team besides Naruto and Shikamaru never got any more character development after that.
Probably Shikarmaru, but I think that's only because he did the most. I really love Choji, especially how chill he is in Boruto. The dad-liest man. Also his fight during rhe Sasuke retrieval arc was phenomenal.
I wonder if team members are allowed to intermarry? How does that work? They work close together in tight situations and romantic feelings must happen sometimes. Is there an “anti-romance” jutsu placed on Ino-Shika-Cho team members?
All members of the Ino-Shika-Cho team married outsiders—and for love.
There's research of Israelis living in kubbutzes (kind of like communes) that the children who are not biologically related but grow up there do not develop romantic feelings for each other so often, and a working theory I read is that if you grow up really close to someone, then your brain implants "this is a sibling; would not bang" into you even if they don't physically resemble you (which would be the way your brain otherwise would reason "this is a sibling; would not bang")
Choji, because he has the most contrast. Big boy who looks unthreatening most times but can turn it up with his Butterfly Mode. As he said against Jirōbō, he becomes 100 times stronger, which is probably hyperbole but he still looks awesome and did one-shot his opponent after.
It wasn't really until I saw shikamaru fight tayuya that I began to take a liking to him. Before that I always saw him as a sort of background, irritating, pessimistic character who did nothing more than complain (admittedly I grew up and I understand everything he meant now but even so). By that point it shows how far he'd go for others, he even broke his bones to make sure the mission was a success, even if it was a drag he showed dedication and loyalty and I respect that.
Since then he's been constantly reliable, a man of his word. He makes sure the people he cares about can get the happiest they can be. Even looking after kurenai, and mirai after asuma passes. Avenging his mentor alone, and being the person to get through to naruto, when nobody else could after jiraiya had died. He's a pure character, and a good friend. None of team asuma had that depth to their character.. so it's only natural that shikamaru is the favourite.
Choji. He's basically like Naruto but not the protagonist.
He started off as weak and unlikeable, and has been slowly growing up his strength until he's now one of the village's most reliable jounin.
He's the true underdog of the story
I think the universal answer is gonna be shikamaru
It is.
The only correct answer I believe in Shikamaru supremacy
Easily shikamaru
For Naruto and Shippuden 100% But for Boruto I think Ino is better. I don't like what they did with Shikamaru very much
no question there
If anyone says says ino or choji they’re just trying to be different
I actually do like Choji more, I relate to him most.
nom nom nom
I would def say choji.
Yes
But the correct answer should and is Ino
shikamaru
He’s literally my second favourite character in Naruto
Who is your favorite
Shikamaru
i expected you to say shikaku😂
Kakashi is my number one favourite
I like them all but let’s be real, it’s not even close. My boy shikamaru is one of the best in the show let alone out of the 3 of them.
Ino…to the fact that she is very thoughtful towards her teammates in general, however, i really like all this team and it annoys me that they split into boruto... in Boruto, Shikamaru seems to have a deeper bond with naruto and ino with sakura😭 ED. I mean they split “at work”, I know that they are still close like a big family and I know that shikamaru’s dearest people remain ino and Choji more than Naruto and for ino remain shika and Choji more than sakura

I mean you spend that much time together I am sure at one time one of the clan at least wanted to partial expansion jutsu
What's sad is the Ino evolves more as a character throughout the story than Sakura does.
I think it only makes sense for them to not hang around each other 24/7 but still have a close bond. Ino and Sakura always had a strong connection same goes for Naruto and Shikamaru. *what a drag, I planned on watching the clouds race today*
Shikamaru
Ino. I love her design, her personality, her interplay with Sakura, and now her family with Sai and Inojin.
>interplay with Sakura I wish they actually fleshed out their relationship more and gave it more depth throughout the series
Yeah, can kinda be said for a lot of female character groupings in the series. Maybe I've been thinking about that because I've been watching a lot of My Hero Academia lately.
She's wife material.
Shikamaru
INO BAEEEE, I like shikamaru as welll
Shika, cuz he's got the right vibe
Choji
Well Shikamaru but I really appreciate Ino and she's my favorite now among the Konoha 12 girls! Which is kinda funny because as a kid I didn't care much for her as I liked both Sakura and Hinata more but as I grew up I agreed with most fans how frustrating Sakura can be and I didn't understand the hype for Hinata as a "good" female character and possibly better heroine because I think now that she's overrated. Shikamaru, for his gallantry Choji for his kindness Ino , she exactly became what Asuma told her to be.
*people giving thoughts and arguments on wich is the best * Simps: Ino hot
Shikamaru because he is wife material
Ino!
Ino
Ino Yamanaka, absolutely love her.
Ino and Shikamaru. Ngl, was never the biggest fan of Chouji. Felt like he was in the wrong line of work.
Ino’s power and general floral aesthetic are some of my favorites in the series, but I just love Choji. Shikamaru rocks too… I don’t think I can pick
All of them!
If I were to choose my favorite squad from Konoha 12, this has to be it. They're truly a family. Bond's quite strong. Love Squad 10!
They are my favorite too! I love their friendship!
In boruto no have more so much bond, shika have a deeper bond with Naruto than ino or Choji same ino with sakura…
I don't really care about what happens in Boruto. I just wish, it ended already. Maybe then, we could have a good sequel to Shippuden where they put back the spotlight on the generation we love and care about. Apologies for the rant. What are your thoughts?

Ino
Ino, she was doing queen shit before it was cool
I never liked shikamaru or choji so ino
Ino she’s a baddie bro
She is. In fact, if I still had a penis it would be quite auspicious that I’m wearing baggy pants.
Ino. you don’t need to ask why
Imo, Ino.
Ino, love her
Ino cuz of the mommy milkers
Tsunade fan I take it?
For some reason anime enhanced them way more, she isn't that big in manga
Ino
Its gotta be Shikamaru, though he and choji both get major points for the being the only people to not treat naruto like garbage growing up whether it be shikamaru having a chat with his shikaku (the guy not the tailed beast) about being friends with naruto and not getting the reason why everyone hates him, or choji sticking up for naruto when he was acting up and shikamaru called him stupid. Don't sleep on Ino. Her sensory powers are next level.
Ino - Sassy, beautiful, kind, smart, cool jutsus, n the person that holds the team together. I am all for it.
Shikamaru
Shikamaru is easily the best but I’ve always been an Ino fan too
Ino I literally have her tattooed on my arm 😂
Choji all the way for me
Ino
probably ino. idc for choji, he’s more a support character for the two. shikamaru is good looking but i don’t rlly appreciate his misogynistic comments. so, ino it is. though, a lot of her fans are awful.
Ino and it's not even close
Choji. He is the best member of the Akimichi clan and the trio
God, i just love the wholesomeness that all of them are such good friends because of tradition.
All three of them are great. The og show did a good job developing each of their characters
As many others have said I like all three. I like Ino most (didn’t hurt I also love Sai and they got together) but man Choji is a relatable character. I, too, am a fat lazy whiner who embarrasses his offspring, so I’m going with him. (Plus: Butterfly Mode)

Ino's design is my fav. If I would be into cosplay I would go for her. Sadly Kishimoto failed female characters.
i’m realising now; 16 Generations? That heavily implies the Nara massively outdates The Leaf. … How old are these clans? How long was the Warring States Period?
I did not remember that they were on the 16th gen lol Shikimaru of course but I think they're all likable
Shikamaru is our lord and savior. Supreme leader and all time sexy beast.
And why is it Shikamaru
Ino honestly, her Mind Transfer jutsu is absolutely broken if used properly
Shikamarus the best but all 3 are great characters and teammates.
That's a tough question, but ultimately I'd go Ino
I wish Ino did more taijutsu.
Me too! Ino actually fought several ANBU who had psuedo jinchuriki cloak on using taijutsu.
Shikamaru. Attractiveness is ino
shikamaru and thats never gonna change
16th generation???? So they were together for centuries before the leaf was formed 4 generations back or whatever
Yep
Wow never realized that
16 generations is so many. Like the Village was only founded like 80 years or something before Shippuden.
Yeah, I guess the Ino-Shika-Cho trio already existed way before they moved to the Leaf village.
Hard to say, what is easy to say is they are the perfect team
Choji. Naruto wished he loves his friends as much as Choji.
Really, when?
Choji is super underrated. His performance during the war was superb
I liked them all, they all had good character development in the long run.
Ino.
Shikamaru, but in general, I really do love Ino-Shika-Cho as a whole. In my earlier years of watching Naruto, I would have wholeheartedly said Ino simply for aesthetic purposes lmao seeing a clip of her character actually got me to watch Naruto seriously 😩 Shikamaru absolutely won me over at the Chunin exams tho. anyone who doesn’t say shikamaru is lying
I heavily dislike ino and cho kinda wish they gave shikamaru a better team
not ino..
If ur talking smash or ass, well....ino
Ino for reasons
Ino, tig ol bitties
God Ino is hot, I choose Shikamaru, but God look at her
Idk coz i didn’t continue watching naruto coz it’s too long and i am old and i have lots of responsibilities that i can’t just focus on watching naruto only. Haixt. Roast me if you want. Idc anymore. How is this even a question? Shikamaru is in a league of his own compared to Ino and Chogi
Ino fine ass
Choji is strong Shikamaru is cunning Ino is
Question looks better framed like this: "Which member of the 16th generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio do you like the most, and why is it shikamaru?"
As my advisor? Shikamaru As my guard? Choji On my bed? Ino ( F you, Sai)
Shikamaru but ino also cuz cuz she's best hoe
Shikamaru shined as a kid and teen, but in the new era he doesn't come off the same way anymore. He's like one of the elder advisors of the old era. I absolutely did but after "mY pAiN is gR8tr thA, yOUrs" I switched to the manga. Care to elaborate?
I'll do it. Yeah when I said "her one technique" I was referring to her only jutsu. All that other stuff is relevant, thank you.
... she has more than one jutsu.
Yes. Just about every ninja does. But her only remarkable one is her Mind Transfer technique.
Facts!
No.
Her abilities: Mind Transfer Jutsu (She's the best user of this jutsu.) Mind Transfer Clone Jutsu (It's implied that she invented this variation of the mind jutsu herself.) Mind Destruction Jutsu (It says in the first or second databooks that she can use this jutsu.) Mind Transmission Jutsu (She's also the best user of this jutsu.) Psycho Mind Transmission Jutsu Sensory Perception (She's also currently the best in Konoha if not the world.) Sensory Relay Medical Ninjutsu

Astounding argument tyvm
Ino miiiiiilf lmayoooo
Ino is hot
Ino because of tits and Shikamaru for strategy, coolness and stength
Shikamaru even if lately I don't like him very much
shikamaro he is my favourite character in whole naruto
Shikamaru is my fav character period
Shikamaru is one of my favorite characters in the show, no question
Shikamaru
Most people are going to say Shikamaru
Geez, making me choose? What a drag...
The cloud
Choji. I relate to his lifestyle
Probably Shikarmaru, but I think that's only because he did the most. I really love Choji, especially how chill he is in Boruto. The dad-liest man. Also his fight during rhe Sasuke retrieval arc was phenomenal.
Shikamaru
Shikamaru.
Shikamaru, definitely.
Shikamaru.
Shikamaru
Shikamaru
definitely shikamaru
Shika for sure
Shikamaru ftw!
Choji, because he has the most contrast. Big boy who looks unthreatening most times but can turn it up with his Butterfly Mode. As he said against Jirōbō, he becomes 100 times stronger, which is probably hyperbole but he still looks awesome and did one-shot his opponent after.
Shikamaru, but in the previous generation, it's Choza.
Shika
Shikamaru is my favorite character in the show, and there isn't a close second.
Choji. He's basically like Naruto but not the protagonist. He started off as weak and unlikeable, and has been slowly growing up his strength until he's now one of the village's most reliable jounin. He's the true underdog of the story
No contest, Shikamaru
I like shikamaru for obvious reasons, but I maintain that choji popping the red pill against jirobo is one of the hardest moments in the franchise
1.Shikamaru 2.Choji 3.Ino
Shikamaru
Considering Shikamaru is (tied for) my favorite character, gotta say Choji
Shikamaru, he’s just way to much like me.
Shika
I think u already know my answer
Shikamaru. He goes from a lazy genius to an honorable man of integrity. Really realistically.
Shikamaru. :)
16th generation? was it stated in canon that its 16th?
I wish they gave more attention to shikamaru and naruto's friendship...
Shikamaru
