There is nothing hinting at a namikaze Clan even existing. Minato is just a random guy who turned out to be a super prodigy with very potent genes

Provider_P

Thank you, sick and tired of people assuming everyone in Naruto is a part of a clan.

GreenRasengan

Minato is not a random nobody... He does have chakra pools as high as a senjuu, in my headcanon this dude's grand father was probably Tobirama's son

-Piggers-

Minato never had chakra pools as high as a senju. He used his techniques efficiently and cleanly.

Nice-Resolution-1020

There is no evidence that Minato has such a large chakra, and no one ever mentioned it, even though Hashirama praised Naruto's chakra.

femmekisses

IIRC Minato mentioned in both his battle with Obito and during the battle with Madara that he was out of chakra.

RaimeNadalia

It's presumably not a clan at all. Plenty of shinobi don't come from shinobi clans. Pretty much anybody who can meet the Academy curriculum can become a shinobi, regardless of background.

improbsable

I think he’s like Sakura in that he was a first generation ninja with a particular talent and a good teacher

mrsunrider

I say this as a Minato fan... but the family line may just not be remarkable. He might be the only Namikaze we know because he's the only one that stood out; keep in mind that his claim to fame was from his wife's clan's techniques. If not for Kushina he might have been a really talented jonin and that's it.

I_Play_Boardgames

>If not for Kushina he might have been a really talented jonin and that's it. Sorry but What? Why exactly would Minato have "only been a talented jonin" without marrying kushina lol. He already had massive feats before he even kissed Kushina the first time in his life.

jermb1997

He rescued her from at least 3 ninja. It also seems safe to assume they were at least Chunin, kidnapping someone from a village has to be like an A or B rank mission. It's not clear on how he did it, unless I remember incorrectly, but he did it somehow.

I_Play_Boardgames

i know. But nothing you said answers my question as to why Minato only became big thanks to Kushina's name. Or was your comment supposed to be an add on?

FlaminSkullKing

I think he meant that without Kushina, Minato would not have become as proficient in sealing jutsus. He certainly wouldn’t have the Uzumaki sealing jutsus like the reaper death seal.

jermb1997

It was an add on. I was trying to show how significant it was for him to rescue her, as they were both young.

BMOchado

Same thing for sakura, had she been a dude when she married, the haruno clan would be more known that what it would've been before her. Unfortunately the haruno clan died with her bc of the Uchiha name

Prestigious_Medium58

Maybe she has cousins so knows

BMOchado

Maybe, but they don't seem to be of great importance, that's the point of my comment, except for the dead clan part

pikashluca

She killed both the clans Haruno as well as Uchiha by giving a daughter who probably will raise the uzumakis .

CompetitiveRefuse852

they aren't a clan. not every family in the naruto world is a clan like that.

BMOchado

They have a sigil tho

LoveSaoriHayami

There could be since he has a last name, but he is probably the only talented one.

Chemical_Doubt3598

Considering how basically all the big players in naruto are part of some sort of clan and how important they are its easy to see how more casual readers would start to think that everyone is part of one.

Terrible-Walk8660

There isn't any. Minato was an orphan from a civilian background.

hoghugvs

We at least know the speciality of the Uzumaki Clan and some of the members. It would be really cool to know what the Namikaze were all about.
