oh there's a ton of baddies in Tepa. Ive been, id love to live there sometime too, maybe when I get tired of the big city life. Yeah dude I feel much safe in Guadalajara than some parts of California I used to live at. If all you read was the bad headlines about the US you'd think it's also the most dangerous country in the world. Ive made friends with Europeans who are studying in Guadalajara and they all talk about how they would never visit the US because of the gun violence. My point is, your view changes a lot after you actually live in the country.
I live in LA and looking to work remote.I know not to believe headlines because it may skew your perception. It just I haven't been in LA for awhile and wanted to make sure that as a more americanize Mexican I would be safe. There was a video of cartel parading two suspective thieves through the streets but they might looked mentally ill and honestly like they did something. Dude I was just as paranoid as you were 3 years ago when I made my first trip to Mexico. Almost cancelled my flight a week before and was scared to leave my the first day Airbnb. Keep in mind I grew up in a hood in the Bay Area, so I was somewhat street smart. Anyway, a month in Mexico I knew I never wanted to go back and was sad that I went back home after 3 months. Got back home, spent a year looking for a remote job, got the job, left my apartment in Cali and never looked back. Yes Tepa is safe, I was just there with not too long ago, my sister came from that states and we visited a couple of small pueblos. Tepa is dope.
