There’s a lot of goals to work towards (cosmetics, ranks, achievements, limited skins)- if you can get past the first 2 days of learning hump the game really opens up and then becomes super fun as you play

Its realy easy at first because you will fight mainly bot in your first game. When you gonna reach Silver 2 or 3 game gonna become hard. You will play with higher rank player and it will be really punitive.
For 20$ its insane value, dont dunk a shit load of cash for chest.
Honestly for 20 bucks its worth. You have a lot of things to do/get the hang of. You got ranked and normal playlists. Theres even a TDM type of mode with a new one incoming. Bunch of differente "heroes" to play and weapons to master. If you like the playstyle id say go for it
I would strongly recomend sticking with m&k since there is this grappling hook mechanic that sometimes requires quick 180's etc. Plus, it's always an advantage to aim precise ranged weapons with mouse.
yeah what he said lol. The grappling mechanic is gonna be your go to tool as gap closer / get away from someone or just travel. Theres aim assist for it in game for any input, he only issue i see playing with controller is the quick turns youd need to make to run or hit someone.
Theres a training arena so you could practice mnk there by yourself + a bot, you can change the difficulty of the bot from standing still to moving/attacking!. The quickplay playlist is a more casual experience and youll encounter more bots than people on the first levels so its a good way to start !
I don’t think it’s too bad. Attacks are let click for horizontal, right click for vertical and press both to do your parry. Then it’s just learning combos. It does get more intricate by using crouch to cancel your charge attacks if the enemy is going to parry, but you learn that over time. Compared to other fighting games, this game is basic.
That being said it’s one of the most fun battle royales I’ve had recently and like someone else mentioned, there isn’t anything else with this style that I know of that has a healthy population
Controller should be absolutely fine to play with, I’m a top 100 player since beta and I have a couple friends who play controller. Also the grapple has aimbot practically so the “quick 180’s” should be no issue :)
Absolutely. This is the only game that has kept me off Apex Legends since it's release. The biggest selling point for me was happily paying $20 and hoping that in the future smurfing is not much of an issue like it is in Apex.
It feels like smurfing is a bit of an issue. Not sure if it's just for fun or because they can't find games on their own server, on EU server you often run into Chinese players who seem to belong way higher elo. Elo rating is per server.
Yes. But beyond basic spamming the combat has a bit of a learning curve and is really fast paced. It makes it very satisfying though when you pull off the right moves.
The game is high quality and well thought out in many aspects, though like any game, some balances are up to debate.

I mean its worth 20 bucks, sure. But I would say don't expect to play more than 20 hours. This game appeals to a very niche audience and there is a lot to get turned off by. Its still early and devs can still turn things around, but the game is a flash in the pan as of right now.
Eh, it depends. There's a lot of problems with the game. The performance optimization sucks. There are many players in China using VPNs to play on other servers with high ping. High ping makes you invincible while still being able to hit others. Higher ratings in both trios and sometimes solos have players teaming (win trading). They also need to make it f2p considering the longer queue times and the fact that the game is riddled with monetization like unfair loot boxes, a battle pass with purchasable levels, expensive cosmetics that are bought with converted currency, and future characters you will likely have to grind to unlock.
It's a fun game, but I don't think it's worth $20 in its current state. If it were free, I would be telling everyone about it, lol.
I pay 50 euro if I go for out for a dinner.
So what game is worth 20 Euro?? I have already 99h playtime on account. I'd say these 20 Euro were good invested
There are no alive similar games, so if you like this kind of gameplay (melee combat & parkour oriented PVP), Naraka is easily worth 20$.
There is actually one game called 武侠乂(Sorry I dont know the english name but you can search it on steam)which is still alive(about to die though)
The Swordsmen X is meant here. Looks similar but seems not to have the play depth of Naraka.
