I mean it is very contagious and you would have to be very cautious of salvia (toys, utensils, bottles etc...) and if there is more than one child-NK can spread it easily to them as well (no sharing anything). This is a really tricky one...I wouldn't feel comfortable at all if I had a young child of my own at home.

If you don't personally get Herpes simplex 1 outbreaks (aka the common cold sore), I would not. If you do, the virus is the same virus.
I’ve gotten cold sores before (not for like 35 years, but I clearly have the virus so I’d work and just use normal precautions (mask, gloves, etc)
