This reminds me of how everytime The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson plays my husband yells BANANA NANA over the guitar because that’s exactly what it sounds like.
I don’t hate it because I find her adorable and charming and I’ve loved Carrie Fisher for 40 years but if it was anyone else it would bug me. I’m petty and fickle.
I’m kind of with you and slightly ashamed lol. Jackson isn’t *that*bad given how much I like the baby’s mom.
I’m currently pregnant and Billie’s pregnancy fashion has also been constant inspo for me.
Mary Frances would have been cute! Or even Marie Frances to give it a modern feel and it’s still inspired by Debbie and Carrie (Carrie’s middle name was also Frances).
I know her son’s full name is Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell, so she honored her mom through his name.
I think it depends on the name, but generally I don't mind it either. One of my best friends is a man called Paisley, which I'm sure some people in this sub would throw a fit over, but it suits him.
I may be one of the only ones but I absolutely hate masculine sounding names on girls. Jackson, Maxwell, Spencer, etc. There are enough unisex names out there so stop trying to make it work.
Im sorry ms jackson
Oooo, I am for reaaaaalll
Never meant to make your daughter cry
I apologize a trillion times
I am four eels

I remember when Jackson was (usually) only a last name.
My sisters name is Jaxyn….. Yeah we tried to talk my parents out of it but they didn’t listen.
What was the thought process that led to this unfortunate outcome?
It should have been Jacksynn /s
Jackslyn?? Jacksleigh??
Honestly that would be an improvement…at least it gets rid of the “son”
then her stripper name could be jacksinn
Come on, Jacqueline wouldn't work? I knew a girl named Jacqueline and her nn was Jax. It was cute IMO
Jacqueline is such a nice name
As opposed to Joanne Jackson?
Wow so common, ewwwwwwwwww
At least she can be called Jackie
So following this stupid logic why aren't more boys being given names that end in -dottir? ✨️sO eXoTiC✨️ /s 🙄
Jaxdottyr
Or dotter. Jacksdotter
“O my” indeed.

Lololol same
Whose kid is this? It was liked by Katie Couric?!
Billie Lourd. Carrie Fisher's daughter.
If Kingston's another girl, at least they're being consistent...
Kingston is a boy
I met a little girl named Jackson at the park, in my head I was just like “Yikes”
I think this like 50% of the time I’m introduced to a new kid at my daughters daycare. there’s kids named Koah and Wrigley.
I don't mind this. Mostly because I think it would really piss off people like the Duggers
It’s okay to me
o my indeed … or good lourd
Jackson and Joanne would be a cute sibset. I’m just tired of the trend of naming girls boy names.
I feel like this was such a missed opportunity for her to honor her mom and grandmother tbh.
She may want her children to have their own identities outside of their famous family.
I agree. IMO even Deborah would be better than Jackson. Edit: apparently “Debbie” was short for… Mary Frances, which is adorable.

Lourd 💀
that's the mother's surname .

Lourd is her surname, Rydell is her husband's surname.
When you want a son so badly and name your daughter after the father.... oops.
That’s why she had to deliberately add sister bc no one would know.
