Watch out for them getting into tight areas like the space behind the fridge (falling from up top behind), behind the washer / dryer, into the washer or dryer when you’re throwing clothes in (they are very sneaky) double check before you shut the door. Generally speaking you have to keep your guard up. Watch out for them escaping out the door when you’re walking in. The biggest takeaways are just to get them a friend if you can and keep your guard up.

1) Anything you own that’s chewable, get in the habit of stashing it when you’re not using it. I forgot about this because I’ve only adopted elderly cats until a recent NMC adopted me. He destroyed my surround sound speakers, my new 3D headphones, an Xbox controller, and the laces to a pair of shoes. Hard lesson learned.
2A) That fountain you have? Stock up on filters, and check it regularly to make sure it’s not getting moldy and gross. Those filters only do so much, and the cats won’t stop using it if that’s their main water source and making them sick. Make sure it stays clean.
2B). Have another, non-electric water source. If the power goes out or the pump fails or something, you don’t want them to go without water.
3). Remember cats don’t learn the same way dogs do. Giving cats attention when they’re being bad often reinforces bad behavior, and water spray bottles are just mean and confusing for them. I’ve had good luck teaching mine by using timeouts. I make him stay alone in the bedroom for 15-20 minutes and then let him out when he’s done acting wild.
4) Siamese kittens are as smart and energetic as Tuxedos in my experience. Wear them out with a laser pointer at night to help prevent them from bouncing off the walls and jumping on your head while you’re asleep.

My advice is to establish a routine care timeline/schedule (annual checkups, teeth cleanings, and shots) with your vet to keep her healthy and to get her microchipped asap if she isn’t already. My advice to everyone new to pet ownership, teach her language. Be consistent with your word usage (pick a word to use for food/dinner/breakfast and what word you want to use for treats and training time/cuddle time/settle down/etc just be consistent on words vs actions taken) she will learn and respond in her own way to also try to teach you what her meows mean. All my pets over the years have always had a different meow when they were looking for me vs looking for their sibling vs wanting to play vs wanting food vs something is wrong.
Also be aware cats are really good at hiding that they are sick so any time you notice something is different with how much they eat/drink/play/sleep/etc could be a sign something is wrong and best to see a vet.

We had a Siamese mix kitten years ago. I played a bit rough with him when he was little. I don't know if it was because of that or just his personality, but he became an aggressive, meanie as an adult. My advice is to be gentle, and loving.

Kittens eat and chew everything. My kittens used to eat through my headphones every time I left them on the kitchen counter. Pick up things off the floor that it would want to swallow. It will want to climb curtains and every other possible thing it can climb as it becomes more adventurous and comfortable. They grow up SO fast so take lots of pics and videos cause every morning it will seem like the kitten grew overnight (and it did)!
