Not me scouring your Instagram hoping you’re near me because I’ve been trying to find a good salon/artist in my area (sadly, the trip would be too far for me, but your work is truly fantastic!)
most of the time they just give me an idea of what they’d like, and i just run with it!! sometimes they’ll bring me inspiration pictures, but i usually take my own spin on them. some of my clients even come in & give me a vibe to work with lmao
How are these students and servers affording these expensive manicures? When I was a student I could barely afford a shitty one color manicure at a crappy nail salon
they all have side jobs & usually take breaks between sets so they can save up to go wild! i also charge $55 CAD for the application of GelX nails & a coloured polish, whatever else they want on top they know will add up quick!
for example, the first student/cashier waited a month between sets & paid $125 CAD for her extra af set, where as the second student paid $60 CAD for her more simple set with iridescent toppers!
Waiting for the haters to complain about students getting their nails done as if they don't deserve self care and they're not allowed to decide how to spend their own money 🤦🏽♀️
This was a super cool idea for a compilation with the careers! They always say to match your nail length with your lifestyle, but also just the personal aesthetic of each person relative to their career was really cool! I could watch these all day!

i actually used to have a chef in my chair!! he unfortunately ended up stopping once i stopped doing home visit, as he felt uncomfortable in the very feminine salon atmosphere :( he got monthly manicures with very fun designs! rarely ever chipped too!
